L'Atelier de notre Grand-Père "This gîte is delightful! It is the perfect combination of old and new, with all the conveniences - and a huge spa! We had travelled for 2 days from Australia by the time we arrived, and were exhausted and frayed. Kids jumped in the spa and everyone was immediately more relaxed! Very friendly and helpful hosts who responded quickly both before and during our stay. Location is great, very easy to get around Alsace and across to Freiburg/explore some of the southern Black Forest - you will need a car. Couple of things to note: 1. If you are staying more than a couple of nights make sure that you put toilet paper and laundry detergent on your list (enough is provided to start) 2. Currently there are construction works on the road outside. We are early risers so this didn't affect us at all, but if you like to sleep in then it would be worth checking prior to booking to see if this is complete. Overall, highly recommend :)"

L'Atelier de notre Grand-Père "Seb's home has a great story which he can share with you once you reserve his home. It's super new and clean and has ample space for many people. We felt like we were at home and spread out as needed. After returning from a day visiting Christmas markets, we took some time to refresh in the jacuzzi which was fantastic. The location is near a UNESCO World Heritage site and there are two great markets nearby, Lidl and Intermarche. If you are interested in also visiting Germany, this home is literally a 3 minute drive from Breisach, Germany. Location is excellent in that your near Colmar and all the amazing 16th century villages in the Alsace. Seb was a great host and was attentive to us. He checked in with us often to see how were were doing. Best of all, he let us check in early which allowed us to dump our bags and begin exploring. If we go back to the Alsace, there is no doubt we are returning to this wonderful home. Thanks again!"

L'Atelier is delightful and a high quality conversion. The decor was creative and admirable. The facilities were excellent. Communications with the family were easy and the location was good for learning about the wines of France ( around Colmar) or Germany ( Kaiserstuhl). Pretty villages, a majestic river nearbye all made for a fine stay. L'Atelier is a testament of love from the family to their Grandfather.
