I stayed 21 nights at the hotel. This is an older facility but the family that owns and manages it have made it comfortable and welcoming. I needed a more comfortable mattress and the owner/manager purchased and placed a new mattress at my request - that is genuine service and hospitality. The hotel provides a daily breakfast, gratis. The pool and grounds are well maintained. It is located on a beautiful beach with several inexpensive tavernas and restaurants in short walking distance. You can also purchase grocery from nearby markets and keep them in your room fridge. Four people run this hotel - they do a superb job. I would return here if I revisited Crete.

Lovely stay in the area of Ammoudara. Johannes is lovely and accommodating, answering all our questions about how to get to Heraklion and also how to get to Chania. The pool is lovely and the hotel having access to the beach is wonderful - I would stay again.

Wundervoller Aufenthalt - absolute Empfehlung! Ich war mit meinen Eltern für 8 Nächte in diesem Hotel und wir hatten einen rundum gelungenen Urlaub. Wir haben ein sehr schönes Dreibettzimmer mit einem traumhaften Meerblick und einer großen Terrasse bekommen - einfach, aber geschmackvoll eingerichtet und vor allem sehr sauber. Wir haben uns auf Anhieb wohlgefühlt. Der Hotelbesitzer ist wirklich außergewöhnlich - so freundlich, herzlich und zuvorkommend, wie ich es in all meinen vielen Reisen noch nie erlebt habe. Man merkt sofort, dass hier mit Liebe und Leidenschaft gearbeitet wird. Das Frühstück war einfach, aber jeden Tag sehr lecker und vollkommen ausreichend. Auch der Poolbereich hat uns gut gefallen - sauber, schön angelegt und ideal zum Entspannen. Das absolute Highlight ist jedoch die Lage: Das Hotel liegt direkt am Strand mit eigenem Zugang. Es gibt ausreichend Liegen, die man auch an den Strand mitnehmen kann, und das Wasser ist herrlich klar. Einfach traumhaft! In der Nähe gibt es fußläufig alles, was man braucht - ein Supermarkt, mehrere Restaurants und auch eine Bushaltestelle. Wir hatten ein Mietauto dabei, das bequem und sicher auf dem großen Hotelpark-platz abgestellt werden konnte. Die Umgebung ist ruhig und entspannt - perfekt für einen erholsamen Urlaub. The pool was immaculate and situated perfectly . The hotel was right on the beach which was clean and dandy and the sea was beautiful The hotelierspoke very good English and was extremely helpful . This hotel is peaceful , a short taxi ride to Heraklion and a supermarket on hand .we very much enjoyed our holiday here and would like to extend our thanks to our host .

I stayed here for a week in summer 2025 and had a wonderful experience. The room had beautiful panoramic sea views, and the beach was just a minute’s walk away. The staff were always kind and welcoming, and having parking at the hotel was very convenient since we rented a car. It’s also only a 5-minute drive from the center of Heraklion, which made it easy to explore. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would love to come back on my next trip to Crete!

Das Hotel hat für uns die ideale Lage. Direkt am Strand, sodass wir gut zwischen Pool und Strand pendeln konnten. Der Strand - perfekt. Wir konnten tolle Spaziergänge machen und der Sandstrand ist flach abfallend ins Meer. Perfekt für die Kids. Zu Fuß alles innerhalb weniger Minuten erreichbar, Supermärkte, Restaurants, Busstation nach Ammoudara und Heraklion. Das Hotel ist sehr einfach und etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Frühstücksbuffet überschaubar. Aber das wussten wir im Vorfeld und ist für uns kein Abzug. Es war sauber und alles liebevoll dekoriert. Wir sind keine Freunde dieser großen Bettenburgen und genießen eine persönliche Atmosphäre sehr. Wir möchten den Inhaber Ioannis hervorheben, der immer sehr um uns bemüht war und uns mit Rat und Tat zur Seite stand. Wir haben sehr nette Gespräche geführt. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall irgendwann wieder. Danke für den schönen Aufenthalt.

Tsagarakis is a nice family hotel run by heart of the Tsagarakis family. The hotel right by the beach. You can take sun beds to the beach without additional costs. Mr Tsagarakis is always helpful. The breakfast has everything you need and is fesh every day. I was looking for a quite, relaxing vacasion which I successfully got. I stayed 2 weeks. A little extra could be a toaster for breakfast bread ;).

Das Personal war immer sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Meer ist in 2 Gehminuten erreichbar, alternativ gibt es einen Pool. Die Poolliegen können mit ans Meer genommen werden. Die Auswahl am Frühstücksbuffet war sehr reichhaltig. Eine Buslinie fährt vom Flughafen mit einer kurzen Instanz zum Hotel. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber. Eine Klimaanlage ist vorhanden, diese wurde jedoch nicht benutzt, da die Reise im Oktober stattfand.

Nous avons passé une semaine incroyable en Crète. L'hôtel est tenu par une famille crétoise très accueillante et Ioannis, l'homme de l'accueil et gérant des lieux, parle très bien anglais, a beaucoup d'humour et est très généreux. Le lieu est très bien situé par rapport à l'aéroport et pour l'accessibilité à de multiples activités sur l'île. L'établissement a un accès direct à la mer et offre une vue magnifique. Les chambres sont spacieuses et propres. Le lit est fait chaque jour, les serviettes changées quotidiennement. Le petit déjeuner est varié et nous vous recommandons de mettre de l'huile d'olive (faite maison) sur votre feta. Un pur délice. Nous vous conseillons de faire un tour au bar où vous trouverez des alcools du coin servis avec des anecdotes. L'espace piscine est très agréable et les levés de soleil étaient magnifiques. Merci encore à toute la famille Tsagarakis.

Direkt beim Check in habe ich den Chef kennengelernt Ioannis tsagarakis,der sehr sympathisch und freundlich uns empfangen hat.das Hotel war sehr sauber und jeden Tag wurde uns frische Handtücher gebracht und das Bett frisch Bezogen,wir hatten die Ehre die Mutter vom Chef und das Personal kennenzulernen was auch sehr freundlich wahr.das Zimmer hatte ein Riesen Balkon mit ein wunderschönen Blick zum Strand,das Meer war ohne zu übertreiben direkt nach dem Pool vor unseren Füßen,wir danken uns herzlich für so ein schönen Urlaub an alle und vor allem an unseren Freund John…thank you johny See You again und bleib gesund

My son and daughter and I had an amazing stay here. The hotel might be old but it is spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We were looked after brilliantly and treated like family rather than guests. We could easily walk to a range of really good bars and restaurants and there is a massive supermarket five minutes walk away. Loved it.

Die zentrale Lage ist ideal – viele Sehenswürdigkeiten, Restaurants und der Hafen sind gut zu Fuß erreichbar. Das Frühstück ist einfach, aber absolut in Ordnung. Die Einrichtung ist etwas älter, aber gepflegt und funktional. Insgesamt ein solides Hotel, das in einigen Punkten sogar positiv überrascht hat. Man fühlt sich gut aufgehoben – eine angenehme Adresse für einen Kurztrip nach Heraklion. Würde wiederkommen!

The property is right on the beach. You will have to take the beach chair provided by the owner back and forth to it. The beach is swimable and the sand is great. There is a market 5 minutes away ( walk) to shop your essentials and there is a fridge in your room. The rooms are cleaned daily and the sheets and towels changed daily. Rooms are imaculate and Miranda cleans them very well. Ianis, the owner is very helpful and answers any questions you might have. There is no tv in the room but there is Ac and safe. Very friendly staff, and great relaxing rusting stay!You can also take the bus for 20 euros for 2 days and see Heraklion. One of the things that is a must se is the Venetian legion/ castle. The whole island is full of beautiful beaches so if you rent a car adventure yourself and go se it!

Wundervoller Aufenthalt - absolute Empfehlung! Ich war mit meinen Eltern für 8 Nächte in diesem Hotel und wir hatten einen rundum gelungenen Urlaub. Wir haben ein sehr schönes Dreibettzimmer mit einem traumhaften Meerblick und einer großen Terrasse bekommen - einfach, aber geschmackvoll eingerichtet und vor allem sehr sauber. Wir haben uns auf Anhieb wohlgefühlt. Der Hotelbesitzer ist wirklich außergewöhnlich - so freundlich, herzlich und zuvorkommend, wie ich es in all meinen vielen Reisen noch nie erlebt habe. Man merkt sofort, dass hier mit Liebe und Leidenschaft gearbeitet wird. Das Frühstück war einfach, aber jeden Tag sehr lecker und vollkommen ausreichend. Auch der Poolbereich hat uns gut gefallen - sauber, schön angelegt und ideal zum Entspannen. Das absolute Highlight ist jedoch die Lage: Das Hotel liegt direkt am Strand mit eigenem Zugang. Es gibt ausreichend Liegen, die man auch an den Strand mitnehmen kann, und das Wasser ist herrlich klar. Einfach traumhaft! In der Nähe gibt es fußläufig alles, was man braucht - ein Supermarkt, mehrere Restaurants und auch eine Bushaltestelle. Wir hatten ein Mietauto dabei, das bequem und sicher auf dem großen Hotelpark-platz abgestellt werden konnte. Die Umgebung ist ruhig und entspannt - perfekt für einen erholsamen Urlaub. Wir waren rundum zufrieden und können das Hotel absolut weiterempfehlen. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

This hotel is an excellent value. It's older, and has been operated by the same family for a long time. The owner goes out of his way to make sure that you are welcomed. The property has traditional Greek handicrafts displayed throughout, and has a lovely pool. It is on the less inhabited end of a beautiful, popular beach. Chairs are provided. The rooms themselves are more what you would expect from a budget hotel, with older shower fixtures, and less comfy beds. There is a balcony and all the rooms have sea views. You pay extra for AC and the safe. Fans or ceiling fans would be a great addition. But basically, you'd be hard pressed to find another low-cost hotel with this kind of direct beach access and charm!

Vänliga människor som Jobbade där. Super fina mot vår Son. Hotellet är av äldre standard och ett trippelrum var litet. Allt var rent med sängkläder osv. Tycker dock att priset är Högt för standarden. Tillgång till strand precis nedanför ett plus. Tomater och feta på Frukost var bra samt yoghurtsås men annars inte någon kulinarisk upplevelse.

I stayed here for a week in summer 2025 and had a wonderful experience. The room had beautiful panoramic sea views, and the beach was just a minute’s walk away. The staff were always kind and welcoming, and having parking at the hotel was very convenient since we rented a car. It’s also only a 5-minute drive from the center of Heraklion, which made it easy to explore. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would love to come back on my next trip to Crete!

The property is just in front of the sea which is very nice. The host is super friendly and tries to help in anything you might ask. The hotel is quite old so some renovation would be nice but overall I had a good stay.

Das Hotel hat für uns die ideale Lage. Direkt am Strand, sodass wir gut zwischen Pool und Strand pendeln konnten. Der Strand - perfekt. Wir konnten tolle Spaziergänge machen und der Sandstrand ist flach abfallend ins Meer. Perfekt für die Kids. Zu Fuß alles innerhalb weniger Minuten erreichbar, Supermärkte, Restaurants, Busstation nach Ammoudara und Heraklion. Das Hotel ist sehr einfach und etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Frühstücksbuffet überschaubar. Aber das wussten wir im Vorfeld und ist für uns kein Abzug. Es war sauber und alles liebevoll dekoriert. Wir sind keine Freunde dieser großen Bettenburgen und genießen eine persönliche Atmosphäre sehr. Wir möchten den Inhaber Ioannis hervorheben, der immer sehr um uns bemüht war und uns mit Rat und Tat zur Seite stand. Wir haben sehr nette Gespräche geführt. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall irgendwann wieder. Danke für den schönen Aufenthalt.

The property is right on the beach. You will have to take the beach chair provided by the owner back and forth to it. The beach is swimable and the sand is great. There is a market 5 minutes away ( walk) to shop your essentials and there is a fridge in your room. The rooms are cleaned daily and the sheets and towels changed daily. Rooms are imaculate and Miranda cleans them very well. Ianis, the owner is very helpful and answers any questions you might have. There is no tv in the room but there is Ac and safe. Very friendly staff, and great relaxing rusting stay!You can also take the bus for 20 euros for 2 days and see Heraklion. One of the things that is a must se is the Venetian legion/ castle. The whole island is full of beautiful beaches so if you rent a car adventure yourself and go se it!

Direkt beim Check in habe ich den Chef kennengelernt Ioannis tsagarakis,der sehr sympathisch und freundlich uns empfangen hat.das Hotel war sehr sauber und jeden Tag wurde uns frische Handtücher gebracht und das Bett frisch Bezogen,wir hatten die Ehre die Mutter vom Chef und das Personal kennenzulernen was auch sehr freundlich wahr.das Zimmer hatte ein Riesen Balkon mit ein wunderschönen Blick zum Strand,das Meer war ohne zu übertreiben direkt nach dem Pool vor unseren Füßen,wir danken uns herzlich für so ein schönen Urlaub an alle und vor allem an unseren Freund John…thank you johny See You again und bleib gesund

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit in diesem Hotel. Es ist sehr schön und traditionell eingerichtet was uns persönlich sehr gefallen hat. Mit dem Bus ist man in 20min im Zentrum von Heraklion und der Strand ist direkt vor der Haustür. Herr Tsagarakis hat uns sehr viele Tipps gegeben und bei jedem Anliegen gerne weitergeholfen. Unser Flug hatte Verspätung und als wir Ihn informierten war das einchecken um Mitternacht auch kein Problem. Es ist kein Hotel wie man es gewohnt ist aber man fühlt sich sehr willkommen und darauf legen wir großen wert. Wie wenn man seinen Onkel besucht trifft es wohl ganz gut.

Super séjour ! Le personnel a été au petit soin pour nous durant tout notre séjour, et n’a pas hésité à offrir un petit cadeau à ma meilleure amie pour son anniversaire ! L’hôtel est un petit peu vieillot mais fidèle aux photos (nous savons à quoi nous attendre quand nous arrivons !) La proximité de la plage et la piscine est un énorme plus ! Je vous recommande pour un pied à terre hors du centre d’Heraklion !

As a Flight Attendant I saw a lot of hotels around the world, but no owner was as sympathisch, caring and friendly as Mr. Tsagarakis! He gave us such a welcoming and cozy feeling during our stay in his hotel. His mother and the whole staff were very friendly as well! The hotel is very idyllic and relaxing especially the view during breakfast. The room was very clean and cozy with an air conditioner, a fridge, balcony and a lot of space to stow the clothes etc.! I liked the quality of the breakfast as well with traditional Greek delicious olives and yoghurt, honey etc.! The sea is very close to the hotel, so you can decide where you want to swim: in the refreshing hotel pool or the beautiful sea. Around the hotel, there are many nice restaurants, Cafés and shopping opportunities. We will come again for sure and thank you by heart for everything! May God always protect your lovely souls!

We greatly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful hotel. From the very first day ,the reception by Iranius was exceptional, warm ,friendly and honest. Through our stay he and all the staff were very kind . If we had the luck to come back to Heraklion we definitely would stay at this enchanting place . No luxurious but everything worked just fine.

Nous avons passé une semaine incroyable en Crète. L'hôtel est tenu par une famille crétoise très accueillante et Ioannis, l'homme de l'accueil et gérant des lieux, parle très bien anglais, a beaucoup d'humour et est très généreux. Le lieu est très bien situé par rapport à l'aéroport et pour l'accessibilité à de multiples activités sur l'île. L'établissement a un accès direct à la mer et offre une vue magnifique. Les chambres sont spacieuses et propres. Le lit est fait chaque jour, les serviettes changées quotidiennement. Le petit déjeuner est varié et nous vous recommandons de mettre de l'huile d'olive (faite maison) sur votre feta. Un pur délice. Nous vous conseillons de faire un tour au bar où vous trouverez des alcools du coin servis avec des anecdotes. L'espace piscine est très agréable et les levés de soleil étaient magnifiques. Merci encore à toute la famille Tsagarakis.

My stay at Hotel Tsagarakis was fantastic. The owner is exceptionally friendly, kind, and helpful. The rooms were spotless, with fresh sheets and towels provided daily. The property features a beautiful pool and direct beach access. It's perfectly located, peaceful, yet within walking distance or a short public transit ride to livelier, tourist-friendly areas. They offer a traditional Greek breakfast and a kitchen for preparing other meals. The staff truly go above and beyond. I’d gladly return, it was a wonderful and authentic Greek experience.

The property features a beautiful pool and direct beach access. It's perfectly located, peaceful, yet within walking distance or a short public transit ride to livelier, tourist-friendly areas. Great value for the money provided you enjoy a quiet beach and don’t mind driving 10 minutes to town centre. Good restaurants and a supermarket are about 5 minutes walking distance. Right on a beautiful sandy beach. Great for sunbathing, and swimming. Friendly and welcoming staff.

Hôtel typique avec piscine agréable avec accès à la mer. La zone en arrivant n’est pas très accueillante. Le petit déjeuner gratuit est très simple mais suffisant. Un bus est à 5mn à pieds et un supermarché est à proximité. L’idéal est de louer une voiture. Ionis est un hôte très gentil .

Das Hotel hat für uns die ideale Lage. Direkt am Strand, sodass wir gut zwischen Pool und Strand pendeln konnten. Der Strand - perfekt. Wir konnten tolle Spaziergänge machen und der Sandstrand ist flach abfallend ins Meer. Perfekt für die Kids. Zu Fuß alles innerhalb weniger Minuten erreichbar, Supermärkte, Restaurants, Busstation nach Ammoudara und Heraklion. Das Hotel ist sehr einfach und etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Frühstücksbuffet überschaubar. Aber das wussten wir im Vorfeld und ist für uns kein Abzug. Es war sauber und alles liebevoll dekoriert. Wir sind keine Freunde dieser großen Bettenburgen und genießen eine persönliche Atmosphäre sehr. Wir möchten den Inhaber Ioannis hervorheben, der immer sehr um uns bemüht war und uns mit Rat und Tat zur Seite stand. Wir haben sehr nette Gespräche geführt. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall irgendwann wieder. Danke für den schönen Aufenthalt.

Brilliant place, beach front , very attentive people, friendly and welcoming. Big , well stocked supermarket in walking distance. Easy transport by bus ( nr 1 and 2 to the town centre and airport , and nr 6 to Amoudara beach on a way back to the hotel, or from airport) . Absolute gem.

Superbe hôtel avec petit déjeuner compris. Une vue splendide sur la piscine et la plage privée de l'hôtel. Tout ce qu'il faut aux alentours. Le propriétaire est très arrangeant, très gentil et touchant, ainsi que sa famille ! Je le recommande ! Si un jour nous retournons en Crète, nous y retournerons avec grand plaisir ainsi que pour revoir cet adorable propriétaire.

Nous avons passé une semaine incroyable en Crète. L'hôtel est tenu par une famille crétoise très accueillante et Ioannis, l'homme de l'accueil et gérant des lieux, parle très bien anglais, a beaucoup d'humour et est très généreux. Le lieu est très bien situé par rapport à l'aéroport et pour l'accessibilité à de multiples activités sur l'île. L'établissement a un accès direct à la mer et offre une vue magnifique. Les chambres sont spacieuses et propres. Le lit est fait chaque jour, les serviettes changées quotidiennement. Le petit déjeuner est varié et nous vous recommandons de mettre de l'huile d'olive (faite maison) sur votre feta. Un pur délice. Nous vous conseillons de faire un tour au bar où vous trouverez des alcools du coin servis avec des anecdotes. L'espace piscine est très agréable et les levés de soleil étaient magnifiques. Vänliga människor som Jobbade där. Super fina mot vår Son. Hotellet är av äldre standard och ett trippelrum var litet. Allt var rent med sängkläder osv. Tycker dock att priset är Högt för standarden. Tillgång till strand precis nedanför ett plus. Tomater och feta på Frukost var bra samt yoghurtsås men annars inte någon kulinarisk upplevelse.

Die zentrale Lage ist ideal – viele Sehenswürdigkeiten, Restaurants und der Hafen sind gut zu Fuß erreichbar. Das Frühstück ist einfach, aber absolut in Ordnung. Die Einrichtung ist etwas älter, aber gepflegt und funktional. Insgesamt ein solides Hotel, das in einigen Punkten sogar positiv überrascht hat. Man fühlt sich gut aufgehoben – eine angenehme Adresse für einen Kurztrip nach Heraklion. Würde wiederkommen!

Nice pool and beach access, but the hotel and general area has deteriorated significantly. You can see it was once a nice place, but lack of investment is clear. Small dated rooms, small beds, limited options for breakfast and at the bar. The bar at the pool has clearly been closed for a few years and the gardens are dead, no grass at all now. 3 star property, and I’ll give it a generous 3 stars for my review.

Hotel liegt direkt am Strand und um die Ecke sind einige Lokale und Supermärkte. Wir haben die Unterkunft gewählt, weil wir vor einer Kreuzfahrt schon ein paar Tage entspannen wollten. Das Frühstück ist griechisch spärlich. Die Zimmer soweit ok. Könnte mal erneuert werden.

Typisch griechisches Hotel Die Unterkunft ist authentisch und man fühlt sich auch wie auf einer griechischen Insel. Die Zimmer sind einfach, sauber und zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Das Frühstück war für uns vollkommen ausreichend mit Joghurt, Cornflakes, Orangen, Eiern, Aufschnitt, Brot und Kaffee aus der Maschine. Das Hotel liegt direkt am Meer mit einem schönen Poolbereich. Es ist ein ruhiger Strandabschnitt. Dennoch sind Restaurants, Supermärkte und Souvenirläden fußläufig erreichbar. Wer mehr Entertainment sucht, wird nach ein paar Gehminuten Richtung Amoudara fündig ;-) Der Bustransport vom und zum Fluhafen zum Hotel ( Bus Nr 6 ( 1,20- 2 € / Haltestelle Akti Corali ) war total unkompliziert. Wer an griechischer Ursprünglichkeit Spaß hat, für den ist dieser Ort bestens geeignet.

Hôtel avec de très beaux exterieurs et un interieur typique grecque. Le personnel est très discret mais sympatique. L'hôtel est un peu isolé de la ville mais a une super piscine et accès a la plage directe. Petit bemol sur le petit-déjeuner qui est trop simple, il faudrait varier un peu.
