The hotel didn’t have power for two days! They didn’t offer any substitute for that, no partial refund nothing. We had to care luggage using stairs and no help was offered. No apologies, terrible service!

Kein 0-8-15 Zimmer, sauber und gross. Boutiquestyle. Nettes Personal - auf jedem Stockwerk eine Wasser, Kaffee, Teestation. Gut gelegen, Metrostation, Restaurant und Geschäft alles in der Nähe. Empfehlenswert

The hotel was in a great location, close to many of the thing we wanted to see and experience. The staff for the most part were friendly and helpfu. On the last day of our stay the electricity went out and took 12 plus hours to repair. This rendered our AC and the hotel elevator inoperable. We were told this has happened not infrequently over the last two years due to ongoing construction on a building across the road. The next morning we were told by the staff at Carmina they could not make any more eggs/bacon due to the power failure. It was 1010 AM and the power was fully on, plus they have gas appliances.

So cute, quiet and perfect location for our stay. Each floor had an area to get coffee, tea and three types of water, definitely an unexpected treat!!

Excellent location right in the Gothic Quarter. Very friendly, cheerful staff. Free coffee/tea, water and sparkling water on every floor. Decor is funky (not sure if that's the chic or the basic part).

Very cute bohemian style hotel. Bed was amazingly comfortable. Paid extra for a balcony which faced an alley and wall, and was quite scary to be on, so did not use this at all. Enjoyed the water, coffee, tea and cute items in the room. Not a lot of lighting options though and bathroom probably shouldn’t have wooden tops as it tends to soak up moisture and start to expand/reshape. The elevator was also a little sketchy and smelled.

Hotel ist sauber und hat eine super Lage. Das personal ist sehr nett , Zimmer sind okay . Was nicht so gut ist ,das man doch so einiges mitbekommt was auf dem Flur passiert oder wenn der Nachbar duscht (Wasserlauf laut und deutlich zu hören ) schlecht wenn man nachts oder früh morgens duscht, Zimmer sind also nicht gut schallisoliert. Das Restaurant ist eine Kooperation mit dem Hotel , dementsprechend ist dort auch fußläufige Kundschaft und recht voll am Abend.

El hotel es bonito, cómodo, de fácil acceso para ir a donde sea por céntrico o bien ubicado, en su entorno tienen una infinidad de restaurantes, boutiques en general y farmacia. Mi único pero fue que no siempre la persona de limpieza aspiraba la habitación ni limpiaba el piso del baño, el resto quedaba bien. Lo calificaría con un 9 solo por eso.

Vi trodde att det skulle vara mysigt, men vi upplevde det lite porrigt. Lite trasigt i rummet och mögel i duschen. Trevlig service och en fin restaurang i bottenvåningen.

It is a very poor maintenance property, the rooms are very dark and the carpets are smelly. I cans tell it was a nice property back in the day but the have let it down. I have stayed in the area every year I go to Barcelona and this has been my worse experience due to the hotel.

Loved the location, clean and housekeeping was excellent

Only issue was that the rooms were dark. There was no overhead light and not Much window light.

Small, dark, chic hotel. Location is perfect as it is near the metro, restaurants and minutes away from attractions. The staff is friendly and helpful. Unsure is it was my small room but there was no phone or refrigerator. Staff will kindly keep your refrigerated items, just ask. Yes like others are saying the decor is dark and the dust is very visible to the naked eye. There was free coffee, water on tap (hot, cold, sparkling) along with treats upon existing the elevator. And you are welcomed by a bottle of wine, treats, a news article and a take away bag in your room.

I loved the location! But the hotel was greatly overpriced for the space and amenities. No coffee machine in the room so must go to common area in the mornings, the bathroom was too dark and shadowy to do makeup. Not phone or peep hole and paper thin walls. Someone was banging around 3am and I was unable to tell if it was on my door or on the walls and couldn’t call down to have someone check what was going on due to not having a phone in the room.

Huge comfy bed. Good refreshments options. Unique decor. Poor lighting for air con. Control.

When we checked-in the service we received was very good. The beds were super comfy and the room was unbelievably dark, we slept very well. The shower had excellent water pressure. Some fixtures and furnishings were a little bit tired; the elevator was a bit random and smelled musty, but these are very minor points. I would stay here again and would recommend. You cannot fault the location.

2.5 star hotel is probably the most accurate description. Nice little property, but the terrible beds torpedo the review. Slanted, unsupported, and uncomfortable. Hotel overall is very pleasant, but it's hard to give a good review when you cannot get a good night sleep (and I'm somebody that can normally sleep anywhere). AC also didn't work in our room. We would not stay there again.

They have a mash up theme of Scottish, Cuban and inspired by 70\'s punk and it is carried out in plaid accents and dark green walls and such. There is a common space on each floor with a kettle for hot water, a coffee maker, and on demand cold water and seltzer and some biscuits. Lovely. Two things I found difficult is that there is a narrow desk/console table and two small mirrored night tables and an ottoman. For our three night stay it was difficult to unpack anything or even sit in a single chair. Would love them to add a few shelves or a furniture with a couple drawers to make it more comfortable to "use" the room a little more effectively.

Lovely quirky hotel . Great location and great staff. I was celebrating a birthday and arrived back in the evening to balloons cake and a little bottle of wine and a card which was a very thoughtful touch . Excellent bar and restaurant attached . We would definitely stay again however would as to be on a higher floor away from service alley as our room was very noisy until restaurant closed at 1,am

First time staying here and it was excellent. Great room. Clean and quiet. The location is very convenient. Every floor has a pantry area with free coffee, tea, water, and snacks. Inside the room was a complimentary cloth tote bag and two lollipops. Shower water pressure was intense. Would absolutely stay again!

We liked the staff however we were told that we didn’t need a ticket to walk the grounds of park quell. That is no longer the case. It changed 3 yrs ago! We went all the way there to be told tickets were necessary and they had sold out ! Disappointed.

Had a great time staying with my good friend; the staff were very welcoming especially Rafael who was working behind the desk when we arrived and made our stay a great one. Throughout the week we enjoyed our stay it was very clean, comfy and the theme was very on point. Thanks to the staff for a great time and thanks to Rafael.

This is a decent hotel with an excellent location. The rooms are small. You can hear lots of noise both from the street (which is expected) but also from the hallways (which is unfortunate). The staff was pleasant and was able to get us into our room 1 hour before check-in but also was unable or unwilling to procure us a cab on the morning of our departure and sent us walking 3 blocks with our bags to look for one. The decor is ok and funky but also sort of random. There was a nespresso machine on the floor, not in the room. When they clean daily they just make the bed and change the towels, nothing else. The shower head was loose and kept pushing forward and actually fell off one time and hit me. In the US that would be a lawsuit but in BCN it was just whatever. The final morning the cold water did not work, which was odd. When we told the front desk they said we must have done something to turn it off, which we didn't, so that was also odd. Also the TV didn't really work - it only got 3 channels but they weren't watchable, it was like the three govt national channels, this would have been a major bummer if we planned to watch a lot of tv, but we didn't so it was just mildly inconvenient. Also there's no phone to call the desk to complain about these things, well there was an outlet for a phone, but there was no phone in the room. Overall, a good price but there might be a better option nearby.

My sister and I stayed for five nights in two single rooms. We were concerned when we arrived that noise would be an issue, particularly because she was on a low floor and we were staying over a weekend. That concern turned out to be unfounded. There was some street noise in some early evenings, but it stopped and we slept extremely well. Climate control is room by room. The single rooms are tiny, but very thoughtfully designed. Front desk service was very helpful whenever we needed it. Would stay here again.

Well-located and very nicely furnished with a fun, cool vibe. Friendly and helpful staff. Everything in the Gothic Quarter within steps outside the hotel. Very much enjoyed my stay.

Perfectly located in the heart of the center of BCN, a few steps from the Cathedral and the Gothic Quarter and well connected, there is a metro just a few steps away. The place is quite chic and the staff were nice at all times. Just the breakfast they offer, if you take the service, it doesn't have many options, but still for the price of 10€ you can't ask for much. The best part of this place is definitely the location.

The great location in the middle of the old town made it also quite noisy during the night. Staff was always very friendly and helpful and we loved the design. 😊

Great location by the metro which gets you anywhere in the city in minutes. Nice tidy rooms. Anything you need is within walking distance.

Taxis cant make it to the door so that might be something to consider. Lovely area with lots of shops and cafes but it can be a bit loud at night.

Hotel 10/10! Me alegro mucho de que mi marido y yo nos hayamos quedado aquí para nuestro viaje. Todo el lugar es maravillosamente único y fue muy fácil de encontrar y estaba ubicado en una zona muy transitable. Muchas tiendas, restaurantes, panaderías y basílicas cercanas. Mi única queja es que nos cobraron por un desayuno de 30€ que nunca tuvimos, y había una nota en sus libros que desayunamos a pesar de salir a comer a otros cafés y restaurantes todas las mañanas. Habíamos sido muy severos al no haber desayunado para quitárnoslo. Aparte de esa extraña instancia, ¡absolutamente una gran elección de hotel! No te arrepentirás.

We love eclectic hotels and this fit the bill to a T. Very nice rooms, great shower, and nice attached restaurant offering breakfast as part of the room. Fabulous location in the Gothic quarter. Raquel at the front desk gave us a number of great restaurant suggestions.

Good location in the El Born district, but VERY noisy at night. Learned upon check-in that breakfast was NOT included; 14 euros per person. Flooring is questionable, the carpet throughout the hotel felt old and bathroom flooring was extremely slick. Samsung TV system was nearly impossible to work as was the hairdryer. Very walkable neighborhood, easy access to restaurants, shopping. Hotel called us a cab to the airport which added 8 euros to the fare. Overall, not a good experience for the price.

Lovely hotel, very comfortable and well maintained, good size room and bathroom and both were clean . Restaurant & bar were excellent, food especially was superb. Geographically it's a superb location, close to the beach and port and walking distance to the centre or the metro station is two minutes away. However, unfortunately the location also means the noise is significant. Late nate, 11pm on til around 3am you have the constant sound of bins being emptied, bottles crashing and doors slamming. The supermarket next door does a fine line in earplugs, but it's a shame they're needed in what is otherwise a lovely place. Double glazing would help but as it is I did not enjoy a good sleep on any of my three nights.

Funky boutique hotel in the centre of Barcelona with walking distance to restaurants and museums. yes it is a mix of Scotland, punk from the 70s and Habana in a great mix. Loved the atmosphere in the breakfast room and bar. Friendly staff, good amenities in room and coffee/tea stations on each floor. Fresh fruit, yoghurt, cold cuts, scrambled eggs and bread and croissants for breakfast.
