Homewood Suites by Hilton Destin

Breakfast varied each day, which was nice. Room had everything we needed and it was nice and quiet at night. Pool, hot tub and grilling area were designed well, that there was a lot of space overall. It was refreshing to stay somewhere that had a hot tub set to a decent temperature, not too hot or cold. Entire staff was fantastic. Would definitely stay again.

We stayed Sunday through Saturday. Hotel seemed clean and very aesthetically pleasing. When we first arrived, the gym seemed clean but as the week progressed, it seemed as though it gets neglected until the weekend (Friday) comes around. We saw the maintenance person painting the baseboards and he got paint all on the floor and walls. The breakfast buffet in the morning was good. The woman and man who replenished it was always filling things up and the woman was always greeting everyone. Pool was nice. Would be nicer if towels were readily available. More times than not, they ran out of pool towels. There were 2 elevators and only 1 was working the entire week. Laundry was helpful but one of the 2 washing machines was broken. Overall it was a really nice hotel that was conveniently located to so many things including Henderson Beach which was our personal favorite. The hotel did have some beach accessories to borrow. Wish there was more security because there were hotel patrons who would prop the back and side entrances open. Overall we would rate it 3.5/5. If the maintenance person keeps sloppily painting the wallpaper and floor the aesthetics of this hotel will go way below the average. Other than the pair of dirty socks we found in our room when we first arrived, it was clean enough. When they came to freshen up the room, we came back to a really wonderful tidy space. Personal preference but the down feather pillow need to go.

Fully booked hotel with only one elevator and one washer working. Very small pool. Breakfast is not very good, weird options. Had to wait in line for everything and took forever to get to and out from your room because of elevator.

The room wasn't very clean. The restroom walls and back of the door had stuff all over it. I switched to this hotel for the splash pad but that and the pool were down. Our tv wouldn't work, we called twice to get it resolved. It would turn on but no other channel besides the weather channel would work. They would say someone would be sent to help but both times we waited over an hour. After the second time we just decided to venture out for the day. Overall it was okay, I wouldnt stay here again.

Everything was so clean and comfortable!! Friendly staff and we had a great Time! Do wish the hot tub and the fire pit would have been working!

The hot tub isn’t working. The splash pad for the kids isn’t working either . I asked 2 times for help but nobody come to help us and nobody care about that .

The worst hotel to stay at. Pool was broken for 4 out of 7 days of our stay. Handicap lift to pool was also broken. Said they would credit my card for each day of no pool. They did not issue the credit. Also do not use this app for booking. They will not make it right either

Seemed to be fine, we are hot tub owners and everything seemed like it was working properly. They replaced a pump in the hot tub while we were there so you know they are doing maintenance.

The room was great but the doors are heavy and loud and the connecting room doors were not and heard everything. They should add the sound strip that they have on the room doors to the other doors. Hot tub worked one day so that was disappointing plus they did not monitor the pool area to see 4 and 5 yr old kids playing in the hot tube and no parents to be found.

I enjoyed staying at the property. The room was spacious and nice (mostly clean). We noticed some food on the floor from the previous guests and notified the front desk but it was not taken care of during our stay. Otherwise, we enjoyed the pool and splash pad on our family trip!

Room was clean when we arrived and worked well for my family. After room was cleaned by house keeping during our stay, used towels were taken but not replaced with clean towels. So when we returned from the beach covered in sand to shower we had no towels. Asked house keeping in the hallway and she said they were all being washed and she would bring some to my room once available and she did about an hour later. One washing machine was out of service so it was difficult to wash because there were a lot of people waiting. It was finally available around 11pm so we washed at that time although it was inconvenient. My kids are aware that many hotels have waffles in the morning, they were looking forward to that but disappointed during our stay because they didn’t have waffles either morning. So they mostly ate cereal, fruit and yogurt that was available. Carnitas were served for breakfast but my kids wouldn’t eat that. The hotel is not far from the beach so we enjoyed the location. The pool was nice and my kids enjoyed it.

We booked this hotel at the last minute do to the original hotel we booked next door was filthy. Staff was very kind and did their best to be helpful all during our 7 night stay. The only negatives were the hotel carpets need an update, the hot tub/splash pad were not consistently running, and the hotel free breakfast didn't have a waffle station. The hallway carpets were stained in high traffic areas and our room had something spilt on the carpet between the beds that was sticky. The splash pad worked the first dAy we were there but the rest of the week it was down. The hot tub was empty 3 mornings and once cleaned and filled they temp was lukewarm at best until the 4th day when it seemed like it finally got resolved. The pool was treated daily however efforts to remove debris/trash were a little lacking. There were no cameras around the pool area which is a concern for safety. The breakfast was good and they served breakfast tacos on the bar which was a first, and a nice change. Variety was a bit lacking and other than oatmeal, fruit and muffins there wasn't a waffle station which would have been a nice addition. The entire staff were kind and helpful and went out of their way to accommodate our needs. We saw the manager every day and he played an active role in helping several staff members perform duties as well as caring for guests needs. I would definitely book another stay with Homewood Suites.

My family Loved staying here. We typically book suites since we’re a large family plus our service pup. This was one of the best picks for out of town stay. It was super clean, the hotel and rooms smelled so fresh and clean. It was actually clean. Although the fridge could use some baking soda to rid the food smell but was cleaned. The hotel was fully booked but we wouldn’t have known. It was quiet. We brought our dog and he felt right at home. The breakfast spread was good and delicious. Would of been nice to have pancakes or different variety each day but my family was satisfied. I absolutely loved the overnight oats and Chia pudding cups! The location is perfect with a short distance to the beach and Okaloosa Island. Joes Crab shack is a walk 1 min away with the track on the other side. Our stay was just absolutely perfect! The staff were nice and calm. We will be back soon!! Book here. It felt luxurious at a reasonable price. Oh and the pool area and kids water park area 10/10!

I usually always book at the Holiday Inn and this is my first booking something else and I do not regret it! •Amenities: The pool was clean and I like the shower feature outside. Swimming towels available at request. There is also a splash pad for kids! •Breakfast: It was good and there was plenty of healthy options. •Cleanliness: The rooms were clean. I didn’t have an issue with it.

Great stay! The staff was very helpful and friendly. The property is beautiful, and it looks and smells clean. The king suite was perfect for our family of four. The room was spacious and included a full kitchen, and it was nice and clean. The bed was comfortable. Our neighbors were a little noisy, but that was not the hotel’s fault… and we didn’t really lose sleep over it. Breakfast was really good with a nice variety that was different from most hotels: included things like carnitas, tortillas, and overnight oats. We all really enjoyed the pool area and kids’ splash pad. The only thing I would say as a negative is that the hot tub seemed dirty - it had brown foam in it which I didn’t realize until after I got in it. I let my suit air dry, and the next day it smelled bad. Other than that though everything was excellent!

I loved this property. The room was huge and being on the fifth floor, it had a beautiful overlook of the ocean. It lost points due to the firepit outside not working and the shower had a leak. They served breakfast every day, which wasn't fantastic, but there were a lot of options and it was free, so that's cool.

Everything was great accept those EXTREMELY HARD UNCOMFORTABLE beds. And we could never connect to WiFi. Housekeeping is slow as well.

First time stay but not last time. Very clean, spacious room, they even have stove, full size refrigerator, plates and bowls and silverware’s plus measuring cup, love the bathroom. Great location, walking to track arcade game place within 10 mins, very close to Henderson beach! 🏖️ love this place. Very penny worth!

My family and I stayed for 4 nights. We enjoyed our stay overall. I want to highlight our experience overall with some helpful information and plus what could have worked out differently. Check-in was fine: Paid for room in advance. However, still required $200 security deposit (not sure if it is $50 per night's stay or $200 no matter how many days). Puts a damper on spending money if you don't have that available on a credit card for authorization. First night was confusing as a key card is needed to turn on the power to the room, we figured it out after a few minutes. We had the 2 Room Suite with 2 Queen Beds in the bedroom (more like Full or Double Size beds) but it was fine and the mattresses were comfortable. My son is over 6 foot and slept on the sofa pull-out, no complaints. Bathroom was nice and spacious. Water pressure was a bit low. Kitchen - appliances worked nicely, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, did not use electric stovetop. Complimentary Breakfast - We are Breakfast 3 days. It was New Year's Eve and New Year's Day week. They ran out of food constantly and struggled to keep up with demand. Also, plastic silverware kept running out and one time, I gave my utensil to a child. We let the front desk know as did others but they just did not keep up with the demand. Other hotels have managed breakfast service WAY better. Pool/Hot Tub/Fire Pi/Grill areas - we liked this area a lot. Pool was heated, hot tub jets were great, fire pit great. Great location.

My check in was smooth. Saturday I reported my hot water was not working and was giving chocolate chip cookies. I was told there was no available room to move into. This morning when mentioned about my water the front desk attendant laugh in my face

Stay here if you want to lose money and not get anywhere to sleep!!!!!!!! This place is absolutely horrible. We paid $500 to stay here and when we got there, the told us we don’t have a room. The manger that worked February 17th around 1pm and the front desk person were so rude and snotty. This place is a JOKE. We reported them to the Better Business Bureau for how horrible they are :) I’ve never meet such horrible people in my life.

All the staff was helpful and amazing here! The manager gives excellent service and care to her guests. Excellent response time to anything we asked for. Will definitely stay again and recommend!

Management was not helpful at all.

Well I was charge for the room a week before my reservation date and then told they would cancel my reservation because the card didn’t approve the transaction. Got all that settled then upon check in I was told I had a 250 deposit that was advertised when booking the room. On the second day we ran out of towels and the entire hotel didn’t have any clean towels to give out. The front desk manager didn’t want to tell us that and just told us she would bring some up when she got them. 2 hours went by and when I went down to check on them she offered pool towels and then told me the truth. The third and forth day we ran out of towel paper and I asked the front desk for towels and toilet paper and came back and it was never delivered to the room. I had to once again go down and ask for it a second time. The front desk people are not welcoming and the front desk manager seems lost when you ask her anything. The pool is small. The only thing the hotel had going for them was the free breakfast in the morning. They never cleaned our room the entire stay. They came once and took the dirty towels and trash.

My stay at Homewood Suites by Hilton was perfect. My friend and I found the hotel to be clean, very organized, with good room service and a great breakfast. The pool and jacuzzi stayed open until the evening, making it a more pleasant day for summer nights. All the staff are very polite and helpful, especially the receptionist Gift, she is incredible and kind. Amazing Vacation in Destin at the Homewood Suites by Hilton.

My experience with Homewood Suites was totally dissapointing. I made a reservation for two nights because I work night shift and I knew I was going to get to the hotel late and did not want to wait until 4:00p.m. to check in the next day. I drove 5 hours to get to the hotel and when I get there the front desk lady tells me that they cancelled my reservation because I showed up late even though it was already paid. I’m still in shock and so upset that they were rude and did not want to refund my money back. I will never consider staying at a Homewood suites again.

Short walk to the beach. It was definitely worth it when compared to the other hotels. It is in the perfect lication between 4 beaches.

Must walk past two restaurant parking lots without sidewalks to get to the crosswalk/red light that leads over six lanes of traffic to reach a lengthy sidewalk to the pubic beach. Breakfast lacking. Extremely clean property. Across the street is the beach and restaurants. The hotel is on the main road so all food, shopping, and activities are within a 3 mile radius. Parking was free. I would definitely stay here again.

We loved our recent stay at this hotel. The location is in close proximity to the beaches, great restaurants, and local grocery stores. The hotel is family-friendly, it has a great pool and dedicated splash pad. There is a public playground, water park, and go-kart track within walking distance. The hotel was very clean, and our room was spacious. Will definitely stay here again

Overall great stay, however breakfast is as a little disappointing, always running out of food and one staff member rushing back and forth from the kitchen to get more food.

Really enjoyed the space in our room and the bed was so comfortable. For all the choices we had, I’m glad we stayed here. Family environment, beach shuttle available for peak season and beach items were available for guest use. The only complaint I have is the breakfast was awful. Other than that, my husband and I enjoyed the comfort of our room.

Was overall a good stay, however, the kiddie pool area didn’t seem to be working and the spa was luke warm and its waterfall wasn’t working. They recently changed their breakfast and it didn’t include waffles like most other hotels.

Overall, this hotel was really nice! My only complaints were the smell of weed from some guests in the elevator and the front desk clerk casually eating chips while talking to us—it just felt a bit unprofessional, and I would know I have worked in customer service. The GYM at the hotel is perfect to get a little workout in. There is a hot-tub and a pool. There was cornhole on site. Breakfast was great for the most part, but they ran out of eggs on our last day, which was a little disappointing. Now, the coffee at the hotel? Absolutely terrible. No joke—it was seriously bad. We ended up going to Maas Coffee about a mile away, and wow—what a difference! Their coffee was amazing, and the staff was super friendly. You can walk to the beach, and there are tons of things to do nearby—go-karts, an arcade, lots of great restaurants. Everything is just a short walk away! The shops are great for getting things for the kids. THE FOOD is very expensive there, so if you have a family of 4, be prepared to spend at least $75 to $130 on lunch/dinner, depending on where you go. Our vacation to Destin was worth the money. In April, the water is cold, so going to CRAB ISLAND is very expensive and not worth it, but going at the end of May or June would be better! We went with a family of 4, 2 kids 2 adults Ages 4 & 10. If you go to the waterpark, BRING YOUR OWN TOWEL!

The hotel is excellent. Nice big rooms, nice lobby, Nike pool area. Only one complaint. The breakfast buffet. Stayed Two days and on both days, the breakfast buffet ran out of everything 30 minutes before the buffet ended. Ran out of everything. Everything. Milk, coffee, tea, eggs, butter, Oj, cream cheese. Everything. Both days. That is not good. You could see that the guests were upset.

Great as usual but breakfast was cold....eggs were scorched and cold, hashbrowns raw and cold. We were surprised by this . We dont expect a 5star breakfast but this morning it wasnt edible

Overall it was ok! No towels ever at the pool. Sausage is served daily and only sausage for breakfast and new breakfasts options would be nice, bathroom at the pool is gross. Definitely not our favorite stay at a Hilton.
