Our stay was better than our initial reaction to the property. Accommodation is at the back of a car hire company /residence. The room was large, and the beds were comfortable. The pool needs renovating but is still usable. Supermarket very close by and only 10 minute walk to waterfront. The staff were helpful, they recommended Pitate (Chinese) restaurant, it was very close by and the food was good. Staff also drove us to the airport for a very reasonable price.

It was perfect! Hosts were extremely helpful kind knowledgeable and accommodating! We booked at the last minute and they really helped to make it all come together for us! Even had time for a swim in the pool and left with wisdom from the elders! Mahalo Nui Loa!

Séjour d’une nuit sur Papeete : cet établissement est très pratique pour visiter le centre ville et dispose d’un parking où nous avons pu laisser la voiture même après le Check out. Petit supermarché au coin de la rue pratique car réfrigérateur et micro-ondes dans la chambre. Nous recommandons pour un court séjour.

The staff is what made it special. We had electrical problems but they let us use another room’s kitchen until it was fixed. They have snorkels to borrow and other beach toys. The pool is very nice. Our balcony was great where we spent most of our room time.

This hotel is in a good place right into the middle of the town, and they will pick you right at the airport and that was great, they will also take you back to the airport.

Tucked down a suburban alleyway between a petrol station and a supermarket, Tea Tahiti is an unpretentious guesthouse, but it has everything you need – walking distance from the port and city centre; friendly, helpful staff; simply decorated rooms with air conditioning, comfortable beds, ensuite bathroom, fridge, microwave, kettle and utensils; outdoor furniture and a swimming pool; onsite car hire and transfers. Our airport transfer for a 4am flight was no problem and reasonably priced. On the downside, the view is of neighbouring buildings and the car yard, reception has limited hours, and the gardens are not very well established. But with the occasional dogs barking, geckos chirping, the rooster crowing and the chickens pecking round our feet as we sat by the pool, it felt like an authentic slice of Tahitian life.

Location, location, location. The hotel is located within walking distance of many excellent restaurants. There is a nice grocery store 100 meters away. They provide taxi service and car rental at the site. The AC works fine. The bed was comfortable. The rooms are spacious. The walk-in shower has a rain head and a handheld head. The pool is clean and the temperature is perfect! The operators are friendly and helpful. Be forewarned it is a little funky at first. The entrance is located down a dark alley and looks like someone’s home – except for a small sign that says reception. The new tile everywhere is nice, but the bottom of the pool needs repainting. The oval toilet has a round seat. Just little things. Well worth it for price and value.

This place is very convenient and walking distance to town to restaurants the market of Papeete. As for cleanness: The rooms need deep cleaning and some touch ups in the rooms. The staffs are awesome. Specially the owners, they are very nice, they treat you like family. My next trip, I will definitely come back and stay in this place again. Thank you so much.

The actual room is far from the photo presented in Hotels.com App.Conditions of room is terrible. No headboard for bed, just sheets, no other cover.Toilet seat is not fasten to toilet.It is a hostel with own bathroom. Good thing it was a one night stay between a late arrival and actual hotel for our vacation.There’s no lobby either. Arrived at not even 9pm to find an empty rental car office that was supposed to be the reception…someone rushed out from the back greeted us warmly, opened our room and told us to register in the morning. I would give zero star but the staffs are very nice people.

The pros: Our room was large and had good climate control (air conditioning is very important here!). There was a mini fridge and microwave as well as storage space. There was space to park our rental car, and food marts within walking distance. We could also walk to the Papeete waterfront and market fairly easily. There was outdoor sitting space specific to our room. The cons: This hotel is extremely difficult to find and does not have good signage. The unmarked road looks like an alley. I contacted them about late check-in but did not receive instructions. We searched in the dark to find a bell to wake up the worker after a long search for the hotel. It is quite noisy but most of that is from the wild chickens and local dogs. The lock to our room door was broken so involved a complicated system of angling the door and using a padlock for security. The bathroom had no towel bars and a loose toilet seat, but it was clean.

This property is very minimal and simple. Didn’t feel like the area was safe. Only a sheet on the bed . The blanket in the closet was from the airlines and very small ! Not meant for a bed. Roosters crowing at all hours and dogs are barking . This is for the budget conscious those not sensitive to noise

Our room had no place to hang clothes and yet there was a large space where a tub used to be. That would be perfect for a coat rack or even some thing on the wall where you can hang hangers. There was no lighting above the bathroom mirror. The girls at reception were very friendly and helpful.

Very nice breakfast fresh fruits breads etc Very nice and accommodating staff we arrived late in the evening and the robe was ready and waiting for us. This hotel is quite rustic, but we enjoyed our stay and a great place to stay right before we boarded a cruise cruise ship.

It was perfect! Hosts were extremely helpful kind knowledgeable and accommodating! We booked at the last minute and they really helped to make it all come together for us! Even had time for a swim in the pool and left with wisdom from the elders! Mahalo Nui Loa!

The staff are wonderful. The hotel feels like a home. Very convenient to work to city center. The hotel also offers transportation, rent car and tour at a very competitive price. Will stay at this hotel again when I go to Tahiti.

Wonderful room. Excellent value for the price. But by far the best thing about the is property is the wonderful property owners. Do yourself a favor, stay here and take an opportunity to meet the family.

The pros: Our room was large and had good climate control (air conditioning is very important here!). There was a mini fridge and microwave as well as storage space. There was space to park our rental car, and food marts within walking distance. We could also walk to the Papeete waterfront and market fairly easily. There was outdoor sitting space specific to our room. The cons: This hotel is extremely difficult to find and does not have good signage. The unmarked road looks like an alley. I contacted them about late check-in but did not receive instructions. We searched in the dark to find a bell to wake up the worker after a long search for the hotel. The lock to our room door was broken so involved a complicated system of angling the door and using a padlock for security. The bathroom had no towel bars and a loose toilet seat, but it was clean.

After making loops around the block 3 times and trying alleyways - I could not find even a marked door or house. There was no number to call for directions, and there's no map in instructions/booking confirmation. It's a very dangerous neighborhod, should not be on hotels.com in my opinion- there was literally a fight in the middle of the main street as we were pulling up.

Tucked down a suburban alleyway between a petrol station and a supermarket, Tea Tahiti is an unpretentious guesthouse, but it has everything you need – walking distance from the port and city centre; friendly, helpful staff; simply decorated rooms with air conditioning, comfortable beds, ensuite bathroom, fridge, microwave, kettle and utensils; outdoor furniture and a swimming pool; onsite car hire and transfers. Our airport transfer for a 4am flight was no problem and reasonably priced. On the downside, the view is of neighbouring buildings and the car yard, reception has limited hours, and the gardens are not very well established. But with the occasional dogs barking, geckos chirping, the rooster crowing and the chickens pecking round our feet as we sat by the pool, it felt like an authentic slice of Tahitian life.

They provide taxi service and car rental at the site. The AC works fine. The bed was comfortable. The rooms are spacious. The walk-in shower has a rain head and a handheld head. The pool is clean and the temperature is perfect! The operators are friendly and helpful. Be forewarned it is a little funky at first. The entrance is located down a dark alley and looks like someone’s home – except for a small sign that says reception. The new tile everywhere is nice, but the bottom of the pool needs repainting. The oval toilet has a round seat. Just little things. Well worth it for price and value.

Nice budget spot in a great location in Papeete. Many restaurants and stores in walking distance. Staff were very helpful with us for finding great tours in the area. Can't go wrong for the price. Would definitely recommend.

The people at Tea Tahiti Holidays are welcoming and accommodating. I sat in the shade near mango, plumeria, and papaya trees, beside a refreshing pool, and chatted briefly with other guests. The owner told me where to find food and offered to drive me to the airport when I leave for less than a taxi. I had my own table and chairs in the shade, where I ate and read.

I booked a room and when I got to the hostel they told me they had already given it to other people and that the system had failed. It was late and I was alone with my daughter in a foreign country. They only offered a simple apology and did not bother to help us to find accommodation at all. Afterwards, I had to go back to get a cancellation letter just to make sure they wouldn’t charge me for the room they did not give me. It was a horrible experience. The hostel itself and the staff were very horrible as well.
