Nice people. No AC it is a beautiful view, right on the lake. That was incredible.

The location is the most magnificent thing of this hotel. Right across the lake of Brienz. We have the room with lake view was amazing. The hotel quiet old, the bed and pillow need to be upgrade, the room is clean, they clean everyday. The breakfast is fair.

It’s like visiting Switzerland 10 years ago. The hotel needs a lot of modernising. Car park is far too small, with too many spaces. There isn’t enough space to turn around when it’s full. There was no fan in the room, but the receptionist said there was, when we established that there wasn’t she told us that it will have been given to another guest and that we couldn’t have one because the hotel was fully booked. They had a sign on the road saying they had rooms available, On the 2nd night we asked for extra pillows, and were told house keeping had gone home and the receptionist only knew one place to look (same receptionist from the day before). After half an hour we went back to reception and asked, she had “forgotten” and will check. She found one, and again told us the hotel was fully booked so we couldn’t have another. Again, the rooms available sign was outside the front of the hotel. It was however, very clean and the guy that checked us in was great.
