Our 2 nights stay arrival - check-in was swiftly. Met & greeted by a very friendly face. Sweet Chestnut was an amazing space for us, comfortable & spacious. Dinner & breakfast service was great. Friendly/cheerful faces all the way. Now where it all went "Wrong". We went to the Spa to reserve the Presecco Spa experience. We were shocked to be told "You can book the Presecco Spa but you shall not be able to access the Spa at all as its fully booked the next day". We were told "Access to the Spa facilities has to be pre-booked despite being guests at the hotel". [We understood, your rules] Anyway... we were offered a Saturday 1pm access which was our check out day, for that we were kindly given a 12md late checkout. On the day of our check out. "Relaxing". Next thing we have a very disturbing knock at the door probably about 11am! "I am sorry you need to check out now"! I stood there confused. A quickly explained to Ellie "why is that? We do have a late 12md checkout" She upruptlely asked "Who gave you a late check out, its not possible as we have an exclusive wedding today" Despite our efforts of trying to explain the late checkout, Ellie continued to give us commands, "you have to pack & leave in the next 10mins, 30mims max, you cannot be here when the bride & thier guests arrives". Ellie told us we did not have a choice, the bride paid a lot of money £5000 for exclusivity. I told Ellie, your approach is wrong and rude.The £5000 maybe a lot to you, but not to everyone

Staff are brilliant here. Wonderful breakfast options. The Spa is amazing but sadly filled with people drinking Prosecco at 10am and talking loudly, being disruptive which means it is not a relaxing experience if on your own, or in a couple.

Upon arrival, the hotel was incredible, parking was easy, we was ealry to check in, however, we were made comfortable at the bar to unwind with some drinks prior. The garden was lovely, the spa facilities was beyond expectation, more so, the beer spa which we booked in for, was amazing. The staff were incredibly helpful and approachable, the food was outstanding, the best 3 course meal we've ever had. A massive thank you to the staff for accommodating my needs regarding proposing to my wife to be! Fantastic ring, its had nothijg but high praise by all that have seen it (including fiancé) We will definitely be back next year but for a longer period of time for sure, this place will always have a special place in our hearts. Thank you Nat & Luke

We enjoyed a relaxing two-night stay at the Norfolk Mead and were impressed by the attention to detail and service provided. The food - at both breakfast and dinner - was delicious and there was an excellent selection of wine. Our room was quiet and comfortable, with all needs met and a very decent shower. The spa facilities were well designed and perfectly cleaned and maintained. Again, the customer service was spot on. Thank you to all the staff who made our stay so special.

Fantastic hotel really with loads of character set in lovely grounds running down to the river. Small personal homely feel not a bland corporate Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Probably one of the best spa facilities that I haves ever visited the beer spar was a first for me and greatly enjoyed thanks to Macy for the great back and neck massage. Evening meal food was fantastic.

Staff super friendly. Room was lovely, overlooking the grounds, nice touch with complimentary brownies. Food was perfect. Spa was ok, steam room didn’t really produce any steam! Sauna ran out of water to pour over hot coals, so wasn’t hot enough, other than that, very pleasant

Lovely historic building, with stylish and welcoming interiors in all rooms and a lovely roaring fire in the reception area. Lots of nice comfy sofas and seating areas. Bedroom was very comfortable, nicely decorated, the en suite was modern and well maintained. Dinner menu was delicious, with attentive and curteous waiting on tables. Breakfast was also exemplary. We only stayed for one night but would happily have stayed longer if we could.

Unfortunately the accommodation did not work for us (we are in our 70’s) and found the stairs steep and not convenient having to toilet downstairs at night. The food was excellent and the staff were very friendly. We reported that the sink was blocked which they sorted very quickly but we had no body wash or conditioner which we reported but it was not replenished.

We had a room with a bath in it. Was disappointed that it hadn’t been cleaned properly When we arrived at lunchtime we had a lol around as we was going to have a drink in the bar and couldnt find anyone. Reception wasn’t manned and the bar wasn’t either.

Our room (sea beet) was lovely but I found some areas of the hotel a bit tired and not the cleanest. We arrived and had lunch in the restaurant. The floors were dusty, with cobwebs in all corners. There were large flies trapped in the room which were constantly flying around us and off putting and overall just a bit underwhelming. It definitely isn’t as polished as the website/brochure make out. The outside grounds are also not great. Food is ok but again nothing to rave about. My daughter ordered the dippy eggs and soldiers for breakfast, both came completed hard boiled. Overall ok but I wouldn’t rush to return

Good location for a boutique hotel Sadly, heating went off so we had to move rooms and was given a heater overnight which was not great as it had to be on all night and was noisy. Rooms looking a bit tired, but the place is old so to be expected. Food was okay but pricey for what we had in the restaurant in the evening. Staff were very friendly and accommodating where possible to alleviate issues.

We enjoyed our stay. The food was very good. Both dinner and breakfast. Garden and seating areas are well maintained. We stayed in Juniper. It was unfortunate that we choose the hotest day of the year to stay. The downstairs temperature was fine however the bedroom upstairs was extremely hot which left us with a disturbed night sleep. This said we would definitely stay again.

From the minute we arrived we received a warm welcome. Our room the bridal suite was beautiful and the added luxury of a balcony, overlooking the beautiful grounds made our anniversary stay one to remember. Highly recommend for a wonderful stay in our beautiful Norfolk. We will definitely return

We stayed in the sea beat room/lodge it was spacious but cosy, perfect and would recommend. The hotel itself was beautiful, we didn't have dinner but had drinks in the bar served by the absolutely outstanding Lisa who seemed to be everywhere and couldn't do enough for us which made the stay even more special. Service is everything along with comfort of course and we would definitely return!

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room’s are all unique which is great as they have their own character. There’s a lovely outdoor seating area to enjoy a drink in the sunshine. There’s a few pubs within a 10-15 minute walk away. Breakfast in the morning was great, and the staff were all very welcoming. The only shame was that the TV in our room wasn’t working. We would definitely come back.

Our 2 nights stay arrival - check-in was swiftly. Met & greeted by a very friendly face. Sweet Chestnut was an amazing space for us, comfortable & spacious. Dinner & breakfast service was great. Friendly/cheerful faces all the way. Now where it all went "Wrong". We went to the Spa to reserve the Presecco Spa experience. We were shocked to be told "You can book the Presecco Spa but you shall not be able to access the Spa at all as its fully booked the next day". We were told "Access to the Spa facilities has to be pre-booked despite being guests at the hotel". [We understood, your rules] Anyway... we were offered a Saturday 1pm access which was our check out day, for that we were kindly given a 12md late checkout. On the day of our check out. "Relaxing". Next thing we have a very disturbing knock at the door probably about 11am! "I am sorry you need to check out now"! I stood there confused. A quickly explained to Ellie "why is that? We do have a late 12md checkout" She upruptlely asked "Who gave you a late check out, its not possible as we have an exclusive wedding today" Despite our efforts of trying to explain the late checkout, Ellie continued to give us commands, "you have to pack & leave in the next 10mins, 30mims max, you cannot be here when the bride & thier guests arrives". Ellie told us we did not have a choice, the bride paid a lot of money £5000 for exclusivity. I told Ellie, your approach is wrong and rude.The £5000 maybe a lot to you, but not to everyone

Staff are brilliant here. Wonderful breakfast options. The Spa is amazing but sadly filled with people drinking Prosecco at 10am and talking loudly, being disruptive which means it is not a relaxing experience if on your own, or in a couple.

As i am coeliac i was given gluten free options, both breakfast & evening meals were delicious, staff very professional. Gardens well kept , relaxing & lovely place to stay. Will stay again.

Upon arrival, the hotel was incredible, parking was easy, we was ealry to check in, however, we were made comfortable at the bar to unwind with some drinks prior. The garden was lovely, the spa facilities was beyond expectation, more so, the beer spa which we booked in for, was amazing. The staff were incredibly helpful and approachable, the food was outstanding, the best 3 course meal we've ever had. A massive thank you to the staff for accommodating my needs regarding proposing to my wife to be! Fantastic ring, its had nothijg but high praise by all that have seen it (including fiancé) We will definitely be back next year but for a longer period of time for sure, this place will always have a special place in our hearts. Room was a little hot and stuffy, thought it was a bit over priced. However really good meal, high quality in the restaurant. Staff friendly and attentive.

Good location for a boutique hotel Sadly, heating went off so we had to move rooms and was given a heater overnight which was not great as it had to be on all night and was noisy. Rooms looking a bit tired, but the place is old so to be expected. Food was okay but pricey for what we had in the restaurant in the evening. Staff were very friendly and accommodating where possible to alleviate issues.

We stayed in the sea beat room/lodge it was spacious but cosy, perfect and would recommend. The hotel itself was beautiful, we didn't have dinner but had drinks in the bar served by the absolutely outstanding Lisa who seemed to be everywhere and couldn't do enough for us which made the stay even more special. Service is everything along with comfort of course and we would definitely return!

Fantastic hotel really with loads of character set in lovely grounds running down to the river. Small personal homely feel not a bland corporate Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Probably one of the best spa facilities that I haves ever visited the beer spar was a first for me and greatly enjoyed thanks to Macy for the great back and neck massage. Evening meal food was fantastic.

The poor guy there was doing everyone’s job? Reception bar restaurant - clearly short staffed The hotel I have visited numerous times and it is still as lovely as ever but it is unfair on the staff there to be expected to maintain a high level of awrvice

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room’s are all unique which is great as they have their own character. There’s a lovely outdoor seating area to enjoy a drink in the sunshine. There’s a few pubs within a 10-15 minute walk away. Breakfast in the morning was great, and the staff were all very welcoming. The only shame was that the TV in our room wasn’t working. We would definitely come back.

My wife picked this hotel after seeing a TikTok video. We both wanted a spa weekend so decided to come to Norfolk Mead. We had a great experience. All Members of staff were very pleasant and the Spa facilities were superb. Food in the restaurant was excellent, particularly breakfast. Overall we both had a very enjoyable stay.

We enjoyed a relaxing two-night stay at the Norfolk Mead and were impressed by the attention to detail and service provided. The food - at both breakfast and dinner - was delicious and there was an excellent selection of wine. Our room was quiet and comfortable, with all needs met and a very decent shower. The spa facilities were well designed and perfectly cleaned and maintained. Again, the customer service was spot on. Thank you to all the staff who made our stay so special.

Superb site - hotel and spa were spotless with a characterful main building and ultra-modern spa and therapy centre with expansive well kept lawns as well as access to riverside water meadows (wellies provided in each room!). Plenty of gravel parking too. Food was really well presented with a thoughtful and interesting diversity including many gluten free options. One possible downside was poor mobile phone connectivity and slow internet - but then for a restful break! Incredibly helpful and courteous staff who were very good with my limited mobility (sticks) but if you're reliant on wheeled care equipment the gravel might be a problem. I We will be going back!

Very helpful and happy staff, were advised to visit the spa you won’t regret it they were right very modern and several different things to engage in. Food was excellent could have been a little more choice said the wife I was happy with the choice. Lovely grounds to walk around. We will definitely be back.
