Very convenient for the city centre, being on a major road. Good sized car park though I was using the many buses that pass by. Breakfast good and food available all day. Excellent firm mattress for a great sleep.

The bedroom was small but clean & comfortable. The outside space could have been swept as it was very warm & great to sit outside for a pre-dinner drink. Breakfast choice was good although the orders both mornings didn’t quite get right. Great location for the train station only 10 mins taxi ride.

The staff gave a wonderful welcome, and looked after us for our 2 night stay. Lovely spacious room. Comfy bed. Food was excellent, well stocked bar, not far to walk into the centre. The only slight drawback is tight parking, and fairly narrow spaces for modern cars. We would happily stay again.

The Best Western George Hotel in Norwich is a fabulous place to stay with 4 dog-friendly rooms which we booked one for our stay. All staff are welcoming and friendly and couldn't be more helpful. Food was fantastic quality. Beds were comfortable and although air con was welcome in the summer, we turned it off as the roon was quite cold when we checked in.

Stayed here before and the car park is small. However when we got there, the young man that works in the restaurant offered to move his car so we could park, which was very helpful. Would like to say a big thank you to him!

Always impressed with this hotel. Service and friendliness of all the staff is second to none Great selection of choice on the breakfast and evening meal menus. Room was spotless, as was the entire hotel. I will always try and stay here as it's a stones throw from the city, but offers excellent value and great staff. Thanks

From check-in to check-out via breakfast and dinner, all staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. Room was clean, comfortable and tidy. 2 night stay in which the 2nd night was a bit noisier but nothing verging on causing a disturbance. Ideal location for city centre and for the University, where we had a concert on the saturday night. Food was fairly priced and extremely tasty.
From check-in to check-out via breakfast and dinner, all staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. Room was clean, comfortable and tidy. 2 night stay in which the 2nd night was a bit noisier but nothing verging on causing a disturbance. Ideal location for city centre and for the University, where we had a concert on the saturday night. Food was fairly priced and extremely tasty.

Nice boutique feel to the hotel. Overall decor was good, a few tired elements let it down like the iron burn on the carpet and the bathroom flooring. Staff very very friendly. Everywhere was very clean. Good spot to stay to access the city centre.

Great stay at the George. Nice location, which was a wee bit outside of Norwich. Several nice pubs in the area. We stayed in one of the cottage rooms, which was very clean and comfortable. Could hear neighbouring guests a bit. Staff were all very friendly.

Good night's sleep in an air conditioned room, hotel was clean, but shower grouting around the base and the glass enclosure had mould and grim issues.breakfast was good.as was the service.

A nice hotel albeit the rooms aren’t quite “executive” like their title suggests. The room was clean, well aired, bed comfy and I had a good sleep. I don’t know what the non-executive rooms are like but the executive room I had was no bigger or had anything else better than a standard Premier Inn for example, except biscuits . May be that’s what Best Western consider executive. The bathroom was fair but the water from the shower ran along the bath edge, down the side of the bath and on to the floor. The brown water stains on the side of the bath indicate this is an ongoing thing and it isn’t cleaned regularly. On the subject of cleaning, although there were fresh towels on the towel rail, the previous occupants towel was still hanging on the back of the bathroom door. There is also no plug for the sink just a cover type thing that doesn’t press down at all meaning you can’t have a sink of water should you wish.

Proximity to Norwich city centre was great. Room clean and tidy , super comfy bed. Great place sadly let down by noise from other guests, doors slamming etc. especially in the early hours If you book and are offered room 115, refuse it.

First off, I've marked down for the shower. It was stuck on cold - unless i couldnt figure it out, but if theres a special knack then it should be made obvious to users. Overall the hotwl was everything else we needed. Comfy bed, clean bathroom, tea and coffee to hand, and nice staff. Would use again. Our room [22] was a little tired in places but it served its purpose for the most part

Don't be fooled by the "Executive" Rooms , they are nothing of the sort. Booked a Twin Executive, got a pokey single. Photos of rooms flatter to deceive. The room was clean, but very small and basic. No bottled water, TV against wall and didnt angle so couldnt see screen. Didn't bother trying the restaurant.

We had the suit, and it was lovely. Big bedroom, separate shower and bathtub. Everything was nice and clean. Comfortable bed. Your own air con in the room. Tea and coffee facility. Check in was easy, friendly and very informative.

Great friendly check in, lovely spacious room. Bathroom a little tight but amenities all good. Shower was excellent. Breakfast was cooked to order & delicious. I will very much consider staying again when in area. Only thing was a long walk into centre, maybe long for me as recovering from double Achilles rupture. I walk quicker next time!

The room was noisy from all the air-con units outside the window. Also got smell from the kitchen extractors when had the window open for fresh air, they need extending by 3m. As for eco why would you change the towels every day on a a 3 night stay. No split bins for recycling as per continent.

The first room we were given was near a large outdoor fan and noisy. We asked to be moved and were with minimal fuss. However, the haidryer in the new room was dangerously faulty. This was exchanged but should not have been in this condition. At checkout were charged for snacks we didn't have and overcharged for breakfast.

The location is great. Just outside the city. Cabs are a little bit annoying (no Uber - but the local app ABC Taxis is good. Plus reception has a “send me a taxi” button which works well. I have to say, the staff here are incredibly lovely. Everyone cares about your stay, everyone is helpful and they made any questions I had - seem important and they really made it their business to sort things out. Hotel is beautiful, area great, bar and restaurant very good, staff? Best I’ve encountered.

I always come to the George BW when I visit Norwich and am consistently impressed. Every member of staff is welcoming, polite and willing to go the extra mile to ensure you have a great stay.

I really can't fault this hotel at all - it was superb: The room was clean, warm, comfortable; I was given a free upgrade from a single to a double; the restaurant was great, fantastic food and good, varied menu; but more than anything else, the staff were all, without exception, absolutely lovely. I'd definitely recommend this hotel and, all being well, will be back!

The staff gave a wonderful welcome, and looked after us for our 2 night stay. Lovely spacious room. Comfy bed. Food was excellent, well stocked bar, not far to walk into the centre. The only slight drawback is tight parking, and fairly narrow spaces for modern cars. We would happily stay again.

Great hotel, rooms adequate and clean, bar and restaurant great but it is the fantastic staff that makes this hotel excellent. From checking in to checking out, every single member of staff demonstrated a fantastic attitude and could not do enough for the guests. Well done

The service was above expectation. Everyone we met was incredibly friendly and helpful but the staff also went out of their way to accommodate our family. We stayed in a family room and my son had a sports event however breakfast starting at 8am meant he would miss eating breakfast in order to get to his event- the staff pulled together a breakfast for him earlier so he could eat before his event. The room itself was in go condition, nothing extraordinary but was clean and comfortable. We only stayed for a night which suited us. The only challenge was parking was quite busy. We would definitely stay here again.

Comfortable clean and well appointed room with good decor and clean modern bathroom facilities . Tea/ coffee provided in room. One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. Truly lovely, helpful staff! Comfortable room. Homely feel. Can easily access the city centre within 10 minutes on foot. Wouldn't want to stay anywhere else next time I visit Norwich.

Very convenient for the city centre, being on a major road. Good sized car park though I was using the many buses that pass by. Breakfast good and food available all day. Excellent firm mattress for a great sleep.

The location is great. Just outside the city. Cabs are a little bit annoying (no Uber - but the local app ABC Taxis is good. Plus reception has a “send me a taxi” button which works well. I have to say, the staff here are incredibly lovely. Everyone cares about your stay, everyone is helpful and they made any questions I had - seem important and they really made it their business to sort things out. Hotel is beautiful, area great, bar and restaurant very good, staff? Best I’ve encountered.

Great location for exploring the city centre with easy access by frequent buses that go into the city. Bus stop is only 2/3 minutes walk from the hotel. Really good sleep as it's quiet and comfortable. Parking at the hotel is easy.

Great stay at the George. Nice location, which was a wee bit outside of Norwich. Several nice pubs in the area. We stayed in one of the cottage rooms, which was very clean and comfortable. Could hear neighbouring guests a bit. Staff were all very friendly.

Can not fault my staff at The George Hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful, room was clean and beautifully decorated. The location was only a 15 minute walk into city centre. Would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again.

We always stay at the Best Western when visiting Norwich as they have dog friendly rooms. The staff at this hotel are some of the best we have experienced anywhere in the UK and the restaurant/bar is top notch..

Good location on the Newmarket Road near to some good eateries and social spots. Staff are very polite and service is very good. Some of the accommodation is a little dated and attention-to-detail is a little lacking in places - e.g. lots of plastic plants and some poor paint finish and dull decoration. But overall, cleanliness is top notch. Breakfast is decent, not greasy, well presented. Would benefit from more of a local twist and the pastries in the buffet are small and dried out so might be better if they were fresher

The bedroom was small but clean & comfortable. The outside space could have been swept as it was very warm & great to sit outside for a pre-dinner drink. Breakfast choice was good although the orders both mornings didn’t quite get right. Great location for the train station only 10 mins taxi ride.

The food served in the restaurant both for breakfast and evening has been exceptional - top marks . The hotel itself ,the downstairs communal areas are well decorated and presented complimented with a good atmosphere. Room conditions are better than others . My only real gripe is that some rooms have a non thermostat shower mixer tap over the bath - this gives way to a hot & cold shower - not an enjoyable experience! Overall a great hotel and stay

The George is a beautiful hotel in a great location, and has been my first choice for many years, whenever staying in Norwich. The staff are so helpful and friendly, every single member of the team, and nothing is too much trouble for them. All the double rooms and above have aircon which is essential now, and makes it very comfortable in the summer. And everything is so well maintaned and spotlessly clean - also tastefully decorated. Very comfortable beds too, and lovely and quiet. Lovely restaurant and bar area with an outside terrace - you really couldn't wish for a better place to stay.
