Wonderful stay! Very nice staff—clean rooms. Roof top area is innovative. Breakfast buffet is just what I needed to start my day! Will stay again.

Rooms were nice, clean and stylish. Gym was small but useable. Hotel decor was reasonable. Staff were a bit aloof and weren’t that welcoming in my opinion. Might just have been us though. Good location and fair price for what you got.

We just returned from our stay in Barcelona and highly recommend the U232. Location: The hotel is perfectly located in an upscale area that is mostly residential, not filled with tourists and tourist junk-shops (unlike the waterfront). The subway is just 2 blocks away and can get you almost anywhere in the city. The area is walkable to MANY nice restaurants. The Hotel: very clean. Nice staff. Nice bar/lounge area downstairs. Small gym. No restaurant, but as I said walkable to many. A few euros can get you coffees and pastries for breakfast within 50 feet of the front door. The room was large but no real dresser. Safe and coffee machine: yes. Balcony: yes. Comfy king bed: yes. The one bad thing was the shower. The shower head was so close to the wall that you practically had to stand and straddle to tub faucet. This is not an exaggeration. Parking: Don't bother looking on the street. The hotel has a garage but it is pricey. We rented a car for some day trips but once those ended we ditched it.

A bit of walk or a €7-€15 taxi ride to most of the major attractions and beaches . The hotel staff were really friendly and helpful and the maids were excellent the room was serviced every day. Really nice quiet gym and roof terrace with a few loungers to chill out in. Definitely be back for a city break.

The hotel is in a great location, outside of the main tourist areas but still close enough to get everywhere quickly on the Metro. There are tons of cafes and restaurants within easy walking distance. We enjoyed the hotel’s daily breakfast, and there’s a lovely bar in the lobby. Our room was spacious by European standards, with a comfortable king bed, a large closet area, a beautiful marble bathroom, and a small balcony with a table and 2 chairs. If you have limited mobility, the shower could pose an issue—it’s in a tub that’s very slippery and has high sides (though there is a well-placed safety bar). The water pressure in the sink is low and it takes forever to get hot water. The pressure in the shower is better, and when the hot water gets there, it’s plenty hot. The rainfall shower is oddly positioned but works well. All of the staff members were courteous and helpful. We would definitely stay at U232 again and recommend it to friends.

Normally I like to stay closer to a train station But this hotel looked too good to pass up.. We had a spacious room with a lovely balcony. Is front and staff were very helpful. There was a nice rooftop area to sit.And enjoy the sun. If we go to Is barcelona again We will definitely stay here again

Pleasant 3 night stay. Minutes (walking) from Metro & Bus links. I didn’t use any of the hotel facilities so I’m not in a position to comment. That said it has a large comfy ground floor reception area with a bar. Staff polite & professional. There are numerous eateries & supermarkets all within walking distance from the hotel.

Great stay good location friendly staff ,nice bar area and good work spaces for businesses trips.

We arrived at 11 am but we got our room directly. This was very nice. Hotel is located naerby metro station from where you can travel quickly through various spots in the city. Unfortunately there is no swimming pool. A lot of restaurants and backery/lunchroom is found near the hotel

Room was clean, basic but comfortable.

Used to be a top bijou hotel and have stayed before - now a bit tatty with cracked sink - also blocked. damaged door. Light not working. Manager not interested. Can supply photos. so not good value for money

My son was washing his hands in the bathroom sink when the water began spurting and changed into a dark brown flow of excrement - not just discoloured water - faeces. It had the unmistakable smell of human waste. He ran out of the bathroom and almost vomited. We contacted the front desk, their initial response of "what do you want me to do about it?". Eventually they saw some action was required and sent up a handyman who ran the tap until the water looked clearer. At our insistence, they gave us another room. In the new room, we flushed the toilet and the toilet water became brown and the tap water discoloured. So this was not an isolated incident in just one room. I contacted reception. The first person did not seem concerned and said to just let the water flow, astonishing given the dangers of contaminated water and risk of severe illness. I thought that she should try and isolate the issue, warn guests and contact a testing company to see how far the problem extended but this was all ignored. Eventually, she came to look at the room and contacted the handyman. She sent us to the bar, then returned to say that the problem had been fixed. Presumably, this meant that the water no longer looked discoured but could contain any number of harmful bacteria. We said we did not want not stay in a room where 30 mins earlier excrement was coming out of the tap. She said that we had no choice as there were no other rooms available. The hotel refused any compensation.

Le personnel est très sympa malgré le barrière de la langue mais la chambre une catastrophe j ai retrouvé des objets dans mon lit ….. Les murs sont tachés, les rebords de lit également… je suis extrêmement déçu … vraiment je ne recommande pas … L hygiène n’est pas au rdv !!!

Rooms are smelly, old floors and carpet. Not as advertised

The room we got had a weird smell but the staff helped us get another room which was a little better after we opened the windows to air it out

There was water leaking from the roof in a few places in the lobby. The tub/shower combo in the bathroom was awkward and impractical. The bed was stiff and the ac didn't work well. Also no ac in hallways. Breakfast was good but more expensive than comparable hotels.

Das „Fenster“ im Zimmer waren komplett dunkel.es war wie eine Besenkammer. Schimmel im der Dusche. Pappbecher beim Frühstück. 4*???? Für was Nie wieder Das Foto wurde morgens um 11 gemacht!

Room was clean, basic but comfortable.

Weshalb och gebucht hatte war die Gegend ziemlich zentral aber nicht wirklich im Hotspot. Zu der innenstadt sind es so 15-30 minuten fussläufig zu erreichen und auch in unmittelbarer nähe ist eine Metro Station. Was ich aber sagen muss hatte zuerst ein Einzelzimmer gebucht, was man bedenken muss für die Klaustrophobie haben die fenster kann man öffnen aber die führen in einen eher dunkeln Innenhof. Musste sogar umziehen, und habe Upgrades in ein größeres Zimmer. Aber ansonsten alles sauber.

Walls very thin

Room was clean and very spacious, the receptionists were friendly.

Extremely comfortable beds and super silent room. Great quality for what you pay

Room was very small but clean. I thought I booked a city view, but my view was dark aey way or courtyard.

Single bedroom has fake windows with sights of the inside of the vent room and is situated right next to the elevators. Asked if it was possible to change, but this is the case for all single bedrooms. Nothing to do about this. Before booking: know that the vent/AC is not(!) quiet and the AC either gives you a cold or makes you sweat. Spent a terrible night. Happy it was only one night - then again, perhaps it would have been better. I do not recommend.

Excelente la estadía en U232. Esta bien ubicado, muy buena limpieza y comodidades, y fundamentalmente excelente la atención del personal, especialmente en recepción.

Un servicio Excelente. Necesitaba una almohada más delgada para dormir y hicieron lo imposible para conseguirlo. La amabilidad y servicio del Bar también es de primera. La Recepción no se queda atrás, siempre atentos y cordiales. Muchísimas gracias por hacer nuestra estancia inolvidable. Volveremos!

Staff were really nice and helpful

Waited til 4:30 for room when check in was 3. Free drink coupon to compensate with wine as the only option because they said the draft beer machine was broke. Had booked 3 rooms and one couple had twin beds. Their room also had a flickering light they found disorienting. Positive, they booked our taxi for us as requested. Queen beds were comfortable

Staff not very knowledgeable and not helpful needs more training will not recommend to anyone.

The hotel is beautiful and pretty clean for the most part. But Our money was stolen from the room. Hotel staff (Jose and Adolfo were immediately defensive rather than trying to help us. We had to force them to plug the computer into the door to see at what times our door were opened. When we went downstairs to check the time logs on the computer he tried to say the time log wasn’t working which I saw it right there with my own eyes the Tim logs were right there. I can’t believe how unsafe someone can feel knowing there money can be stolen in the streets and from your own hotel room.. would not recommend this hotel to anyone who is traveling with cash or valuable belongings. If you don’t have anything of value this hotel may be the one for you..

This hotel was an excellent choice, the hotel is conveniently located by a nearby Blue line metro. There are lots of restaurants, cafes etc nearby. Room was spacious and bathrooms were also. Free wifi, reception staff very good. Highly recommended.

The price was unbeatable for the location: Excellent - right in the heart of the city, within walking distance to shops, restaurants and a beautiful walk to Passeig de Gracia.

Bien situé près du métro.

We felt very safe in and around the area. It was close to metro and in walking distance to the hop on hop off bus. Also to the lovely shopping at the end of Paris street and the wide boulevards.

Excelente hotel. Gran espacio en la habitaciones, excelente desayuno y personal muy amable. Esta un tanto alejado de puntos turisticos pero la zona es muy segura y con gente local. Estuvimos en agosto ( con 35° de calor) y la refrigeracion de todo el hotel era perfecta!

+Good impression in general. Very comfortable bedroom and they had a grip for the baby as we have asked them in advance. Bed and pillows were very good quality. Nice location with good connection to the city centre - Overall, the breakfast was good, but I was expecting more variety for a 4star hotel. Maybe another kind of eggs as there were only two options of scrambles eggs and boiled eggs, there was not offered any cucumber or olives or peppers for example, cream cheese, oats etc.

Very nice, clean, comfortable and close to a metro station. Breakfast was good staff friendly and attentive also the bar was really nice and a with a cool bartender.

Elegant, cozy hotel in an excellent location. Buffet breakfast very good and all the staff very friendly and helpful.

The hotel was beautiful, spacious and inviting. The staff were accommodating, some of whom spoke very good English. The breakfast was tasty. The room was good and the bed was very comfortable.

Hotel U232, is walking distance the Metro. The breakfast buffet was Amazing. The staff was very curious and kind.

The hotel was actually better than I expected and looked even better in person. The room was pretty big and had 2 separate bed which we weren’t expecting (1 single and 1 big/queen) and we welcomed the extra single bed. The balcony was very spacious especially compared to other hotels I’ve stayed with 2 tables and 4 chairs. Staff were polite and friendly and we did not feel out of place. Location is decent and as two ladies we felt very safe and came back late and had no issues with transport. Public transport is excellent with metro and bus stops just steps away. Can get to La Rambla, the beach quickly and other tourist attractions. Quite a bit of places to eat around the area that we found convenient. It isn’t a noisy area so we were able to sleep in peace. Loved that we were able to leave our bags at the hotel after checkout and tour a bit more of Barcelona before our evening flight. Only downside for us was the breakfast. It wasn’t that nice of a spread and could be better. Pretty basic for the price and we got it included. I stuck to fruits, yogurt and the cakes. The cakes were very nice though so that’s a win. My cousin only had breakfast for 1 of the 3 days. Overall I’d stay again but omit breakfast.
