Higashiizu must have been nice 20 years ago. It’s not anymore. The hotel is ok if you’re a group of young travelers (i guess) but would not recommend for a family. Very traditional / old school place. No english-speaking staff. You can hear all neighbor rooms. You have to pay your room cleaning service and car park additional. And really the town is dead at night (no activity, very few open restaurants, etc.). Overall very expensive for what it is.

The hotel has excellent facilities, in particular with private outdoor hot spring water bath, which is very enjoyable. The staff is very friendly. The breakfast is excellent, but little too expensive. The hotel also has shuttle bus to the train station. Some facilties need proper maintainence, such as basin. Cleaness could be improved. Overall, this is a good hotel.

稲取温泉とあったので温泉を楽しみに行きましたがお風呂がちゃっちくて、とてもガッカリ。 海ぞいで楽しみに行きましたが、ロケーションも ガッカリ。 唯一お料理は美味しく、空間も充実していたので そこは満足でした。

別館に宿泊しました。 お風呂は無料の貸切風呂しかないです。 「使用中」「空き」の札を見て客が勝手に利用するという斬新なスタイルですが、いくつか問題がありました。 問題1つ目、湯船が前のホテルから丸見え、それどころか柵まで裸で行った日には、貸切風呂の真上上の部屋から丸見えです。 問題2つ目、お湯が熱すぎて冷ますのに10分はかかる。 問題3つ目、斬新なスタイルゆえに、湯船に入り一息ついて水面を見つめると、色々浮いていて清掃が入っていないのがよく分かってしまいます。
