The staff was friendly and helpful. Excellent and tasty food options, definitely recommend the watermelon gazpacho and ceviche. Our room was back toward the pool and restaurant area so road noise was not an issue as mentioned in other reviews. The trail behind the property was really neat and we got to see some capuchin monkeys and a yellow headed caracara. Unfortunately, the zip lines were closed for maintenance the day we were there which was a bummer but good to know they check it weekly.

Wonderful facility, great map, beautiful property. The main road nearby is quite noisy. The private nature reserve needs better maps, so you know how long you will need to complete each trail.

Amazing property! Nice spacious rooms. Main bed was very comfortable. Sofa bed mattress was bad (but they usually are bad). Great staff. Very safe and secure. Beautiful grounds with lots of animals and ziplining on property. Food at restaurant was great. Pool was great. They had a New Year's Eve party included with our stay (that we didn't even know about until we got there). Overall an amazing experience!

We booked a 2 bedroom Casita for 3 nights and got a warm welcome from Miguel, Alejandra, Jessie, Danny and Dylan who are very nice, efficient, kind and professional. Our casita is near the pool, lovely, spacious, clean, the linen, towels and bath toiletries are superb but you can hear the loud street traffic. Pool is nice with restrooms and outdoor showers. Lush gardens are fantastic. Ample and safe free parking.Room WiFi is very weak, breakfast is average.

Would highly recommend this hotel. Great staff and service (a special shoutout to Andres at the restaurant)! A beautiful garden, big room and bathroom, cozy atmosphere, delicious food, and luxurious toiletries were the highlights of our experience at La Foresta. Housekeeping did a great job as the rooms were spotless. The toiletries were so good that I bought them to bring home. It is a nature resort. Since the property is at the edge of the rainforest and it has more acreage of wilderness behind it, it is excellent choice if you like to see birds and animals in nature. We saw more animals at the property than we did at the Manual Antonio Park. We saw monkeys, macaws, iguanas, butterflies, and several different types of smaller birds at the property. We also hiked in the hiking trails in the woods behind the property. The downside of this location is that you cannot walk to the city. One more thing - if you are sensitive to noise, get a room towards the back of the property; otherwise, you can hear the roaring sound of traffic as the hotel is near a road. At night, noise can be a big issue.

The bathroom was clogged and as they were trying to repair, dirty water came out of drain and bathroom into the room. Our room was changed eventually but we lost a lot of valuable time and had to deal with mess in room around our luggage.

We found that the bathroom at the room we requested hasn’t been cleaned, so they moved us to a different one. The swimming pool hours are a bit inconvenient (closed at 7:00 pm) usually closing time at other hotels is 10:00 pm. Would have been nice to enjoy it, bur not possible with their schedule. Breakfast was very good.

I would recommend this property to anyone traveling in the area. (We went to the National Park and had a rental car). The most gorgeous surroundings, great breakfast, clean pool, spotless room, attentive and friendly staff. I would not hesitate to send my friends, family and hopefully I can come back one day. The staff was great and the property was very nice. The pool was nice, and we had macaws and other birds flying over. It seemed like every cabin had an iguana outside, which was fun. Our room was close to the highway, but this really didn't bother us. We wish we had stayed longer!

The nature preserve was awesome, we saw Capuchin monkeys and Blue Morpho butterflies. The pool was very nice. The staff was helpful and professional. The food was very good. The rooms were dated, but clean and functional.

This place is very good and safe! We can also see few animals/birds in this property. Very quite place with a nice breakfast. Could have a better / faster internet...the TV is also small and so we were not able to use the TV! Room is very spacious and nice and clean!

This spot gets 5 stars due to their staff. Wow, everyone was so kind and helpful. We had all of our birding gear with us and would bird watch on the property. Often, staff would come up to us to make sure we knew about a birding spot nearby. The breakfast was tasty too! Other things we appreciated about this property: The number of hangers they provided. How large the bathroom was They were the only hotel we stayed at that had shampoo and conditioner! Plenty of towels Some improvements we would love to see: Stronger water pressure Adding Acopian BirdSaver curtains or the window decals to prevent bird collisions with the windows. We had a few birds collide with the windows and that is very dangerous for them More foliage. I know this part is knit picky, but I felt like the property was too manicured. I thought we would have a little bit more of a rainforest around us.

The beds are comfortable, each room has a cool air conditioner, and the shower is big and has great water pressure. The pool area is clean and refreshing. The surroundings are beautiful. The property is next to a main roadway with a lot of traffic...there are loud trucks traveling throughout the day and night.

Unser Zimmer war sehr geräumig schöne grosse Dusche. Sehr gepflegte Anlage und grosser Pool. Das Personal war ziemlich emotionslos, man fühlte sich nicht willkommen - Ausnahme der junge Mann am Toreingang (Spätdienst). Das Frühstück war mehr als eintönig.
Unser Zimmer war sehr geräumig schöne grosse Dusche. Sehr gepflegte Anlage und grosser Pool. Das Personal war ziemlich emotionslos, man fühlte sich nicht willkommen - Ausnahme der junge Mann am Toreingang (Spätdienst). Das Frühstück war mehr als eintönig.

I've stayed here several times now. It is super convenient to the Quepos airport. The service is great. Complimentary breakfast is very good. As others have mentioned, there is noise from the road and I had wished there wasn’t so much noise from the weed wicker’s and blowers. However, our stay was very nice, the housekeepers did an amazing job as did many other workers on property. We did have an issue with the free shuttle on one occasion- we were dropped off at the beach and we’re assured that we would be picked up- we were not, we waited and called, after being stranded for 1.5 hours we had a taxi return us to the property. This was disappointing, as we could have taken our rented vehicle paid the parking fee and would have came out ahead. Would I stay here again, most likely - despite the noise and being stranded.

We arrived around 8:30 pm to check in after a 4 hour drive from airport. Restaurant was to be open til 10 pm. We got to our room and front desk called and said restaurant was going to close early because slow but would stay open if we went to eat right then. They stayed open to accommodate us. Food and service were excellent!

We stayed 3 nights at La Foresta Nature Resort. Convenient location to drive to Manuel Antonio (approx 25 minutes), dinner and cocktails at the restaurant was delicious and the staff very attentive. Breakfast was included and ordered off the menu. There were macaws in the morning and monkeys in the nature reserve. Highly recommend staying here

We lost water supply for half a day. No excuses, backup plan and not even a sorry for inconvenience. WIFI was spotty and electricity was also out for a few hours. Breakfast was bad and extremely slow. The grounds are nice and clean but staff was very unmotivated.

Would highly recommend this hotel. Great staff and service (a special shoutout to Andres at the restaurant)! A beautiful garden, big room and bathroom, cozy atmosphere, delicious food, and luxurious toiletries were the highlights of our experience at La Foresta. Housekeeping did a great job as the rooms were spotless. The toiletries were so good that I bought them to bring home. It is a nature resort. Since the property is at the edge of the rainforest and it has more acreage of wilderness behind it, it is excellent choice if you like to see birds and animals in nature. We saw more animals at the property than we did at the Manual Antonio Park. We saw monkeys, macaws, iguanas, butterflies, and several different types of smaller birds at the property. We also hiked in the hiking trails in the woods behind the property. The downside of this location is that you cannot walk to the city. One more thing - if you are sensitive to noise, get a room towards the back of the property; otherwise, you can hear the roaring sound of traffic as the hotel is near a road. At night, noise can be a big issue.

This property is beautiful! We stayed in a 2 bedroom casita with full, well-stocked kitchen. The beds are comfortable, each room has a cool air conditioner, and the shower is big and has great water pressure. The pool area is clean and refreshing. The surroundings are beautiful. The property is next to a main roadway with a lot of traffic...there are loud trucks traveling throughout the day and night.

This was one of the best resorts we have ever stayed at. The staff and service were amazing. Renaldi, Rebecca and Evaline as well as others who we didn’t get their names went above and beyond in making our stay so wonderful. Also the grounds were immaculate and the rooms were large and comfortable. The breakfast was pretty good, but we purchased lunch and dinner and both of those were so good. My favorite part was all the iguanas during the day hanging around and all the geckos at night keeping insects away. If we ever return to Quepos, Costa Rica we would definitely stay at this amazing resort.

AC had trouble in one of the rooms. Asked for it to be fixed and 2 days later still nothing so asked again and they finally got it working. WiFi didn’t work in our room either but it would work if we walked out the front door…. Power went out when it rained several times but only stayed out momentarily. The grounds were nice and the staff friendly but we had trouble with our rooms AC and wifi so we were not too happy but maybe our experience was not typical. It seemed like it should have been nice, so maybe we just had bad luck. The included breakfast was pretty terrible though if I’m being honest. ;)
