Dat and all staff were great. Very friendly and efficient. They cook various brkfst menu every morning with lots of fruit plates. The swimming pool is surrounded by beautiful flowers. The famous view point with Pagoda is 2 km away, and they rent bikes free. Just park them at the entrance of complex at any parking without locking them. Parking fee: 50,000 Vietnam money per bike. Te view point pagoda is about 500 steps above ground.

Nice location and nice athmosphere. Staff very friendly. Nice swimming pool. We had dinner which was ok. Breakfast was good! Our room was next to the waterpump so a little loud but otherwise fine.

Séjour très agréable et très dépaysant. Au cœur des rizières. Superbe étape. Sillonnez la région en vélo, paysages magnifiques. Très bel hôtel, jolie piscine, équipe à l’écoute. Je recommande, sans hésitations.

Simply the quietest most surreal location among the rice fields. The pool is fabulous and so are the grounds. So well maintained and just as easy grab ride to Trang An, old town and Tam COC. We used the free bikes to get to Mua Caves for the 500 steps to the top! We went at 0530 to avoid the crowds and heat and were back in time for a delicious breakfast. The staff speak excellent English and are very helpful. Would stay here again

The most beautiful eco lodge with views of the rice terraces. We found it to be perfectly located for cycling to both Tam Coc and Trang An using the complimentary bicycles. We ate dinner in the hotel which was good.

Our stay has been amazing. Great service and our room was above our expectations. The staff helped us book transfer from hanoi to the hotell in Ninh Binh and also transfer from the hotell in Ninh Binh to cat ba Island. We did a 60 min massage at the hotell and that was really good too. We could rent bikes for free, it was a short bike ride to Trang an and hang mua. We can truly recommend this hotell.

I’m sure the hotel will be relaxing again when the construction work is finished. Also there is vermin in the main building which needs to be dealt with, we regularly saw and heard mice running around the reception area including into the kitchen area. The overall lodge is nice, with lush green planting around the site, the room spacious with a good view over the countryside and feels luxurious. The free bicycles are handy, although could do with some TLC. Breakfast was nice, especially the Vietnamese beef noodle bowl and the fresh fruit. The atmosphere is a bit dead, especially in the evening when the lights were off and things shut up at around 9pm at the bar. Staff were very friendly and attentive.

All staff were friendly and willing to help. We really appreciate that Sam notified us of flooding in an area we were flying to and helped us change our flight tickets. We enjoyed learning about Vietnamese culture. Free bicycles and scooter rentals made getting around easy. The massage therapists were excellent. We would highly recommend this accommodation.

We had a relaxing break at chez cao after some hectic days in the city. The surroundings are very peaceful, the room was clean and had everything you need. The staff went above and beyond to help us make the most of our days in ninh Binh.

The staff were amazing and the location was perfect. Sadly the hot water in the room cycled between scalding hot and very cold every 10 seconds which made it very uncomfortable to shower if not impossible which was a major issue for us. The hotel had ongoing construction and you can hear any minor noises thorough the windows and doors. Also the breakfast was sub par, not many options at all with just standard joe coffee and flavoured tea on offer (no breakfast tea). The beds are absoloutly rock solid, felt like i was sleeping on wood boards so didnt get a good nights sleep at all. The staff and location deserve 5 stars but the rest of it made it a very uncomfortable stay.

We absolutely loved our stay at ChezCao Rice Field Ecolodge! The room was clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated. Breakfast was delicious, offering a great selection of options. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. The view of the rice fields was simply magical. Unfortunately, the cloudy and cold weather meant we couldn’t use the pool, but that didn’t take away from the experience. We highly recommend this resort to anyone visiting Ninh Binh!

Very happy with Chezcao Ecologe, the room is huge and clean, it comes with a big bath tub. We are surrounded by ricefield and they have free bicycle for you to roam around. The breakfast is simple but delicious 😍 Highly recommend!!!

Quiet little place amongst rice fields. So many plants at the hotel, makes you feel like you are in the jungle. Staff is super nice. Place is clean.

This facility is a magnificent choice as a base to visit all the interesting sites in Ninh Binh. The rooms are large with excellent beds. The staff were kind, efficient and willing to help beyond expectations.

We had a lovely stay. Our room was luxurious with stunning views that we enjoyed each day. The staff were delightful and helped us with arranging a transfer from Hanoi, scooter once we got there and spa services. The breakfast each morning was filled with a great selection and the on site restaurant was delicious. Would happily stay again.

Staff was incredibly kind and helpful. The place is so lovely and peaceful, beautiful garden with lots if plants and the pool is so nice too. We had a large room in a separate villa, with a view over the rice fields and the mountains, stunning at sunset. It was very clean. They offer ice tea and fruit when you arrive. The hotel has a restaurant (delicious food) and a spa. They lend bikes for free and rent scooters. It's located outside the busy areas so it's very quiet at night. It was perfect.

It was the most relaxing place to stay. We had a wonderful time. The staffs were so friendly and attentive. The ground was beautiful and well kept. We felt so peaceful and re-energized after our stay in Hanoi. Will definitely come back here again next time we are in this region.

We stayed 21 nights in Vietnam and this was by far the best two nights stay of the entire trip. It's a tropical oasis in the middle of an active rice field. Five minutes from town and central to all tourist sites. They have bikes to use and we explored the countryside and small villages at our own leisurely pace while stopping for food and drink along the way. Small restaurant with decent food on site for those not wanting to go out. And... as all of the other reviewers have mentioned... the staff was fantastic! Helped with lot's of advice and booking rides around locally and a car to Halong.

We had a lovely stay. Our room was luxurious with stunning views that we enjoyed each day. The staff were delightful and helped us with arranging a transfer from Hanoi, scooter once we got there and spa services. The breakfast each morning was filled with a great selection and the on site restaurant was delicious. Would happily stay again.

It is a wonderful place to stay. Me and my partner had just finished a week in Ho Chi Minh city and ChezCao was an amazing place to relax and unwind. The owner and his wife were extremely friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend staying here.

I’m sure the hotel will be relaxing again when the construction work is finished. Also there is vermin in the main building which needs to be dealt with, we regularly saw and heard mice running around the reception area including into the kitchen area. The overall lodge is nice, with lush green planting around the site, the room spacious with a good view over the countryside and feels luxurious. The free bicycles are handy, although could do with some TLC. Breakfast was nice, especially the Vietnamese beef noodle bowl and the fresh fruit. The atmosphere is a bit dead, especially in the evening when the lights were off and things shut up at around 9pm at the bar. Staff were very friendly and attentive.

All staff were friendly and willing to help. We really appreciate that Sam notified us of flooding in an area we were flying to and helped us change our flight tickets. We enjoyed learning about Vietnamese culture. Free bicycles and scooter rentals made getting around easy. The massage therapists were excellent. We would highly recommend this accommodation.

Dat and all staff were great. Very friendly and efficient. They cook various brkfst menu every morning with lots of fruit plates. The swimming pool is surrounded by beautiful flowers. The famous view point with Pagoda is 2 km away, and they rent bikes free. Just park them at the entrance of complex at any parking without locking them. Parking fee: 50,000 Vietnam money per bike. Te view point pagoda is about 500 steps above ground.

Our stay was amazing, we wished we could’ve stayed longer. Right from our arrival everyone was so welcoming and helpful. The place is absolutely stunning. Although it feels like you’re in the middle of nowhere (in a good way) you can easily get a grab or cycle to local places. We did the hang mua and cycled there, it only took a few minutes. The bikes were free to use too. Just bring insect repellent!

Todo fue perfecto, la zona alejada lo suficiente del centro pero cerca de las atracciones turisticas de la zona. Rodeada de plantaciones de arroz. Ideal para andar en bicilieta y descansar. VAN y el resto del equipo que trabaja en el hotel fueron muy atentos y encantadores. Lo recomendamos mucho!

Beautiful gem in the middle of rice fields! Felt like a calm oasis, lush and green. The staff was extremely friendly and it felt like it was family owned. Highly recommend making a stop in this beautiful hotel! Truly special.

Simply the quietest most surreal location among the rice fields. The pool is fabulous and so are the grounds. So well maintained and just as easy grab ride to Trang An, old town and Tam COC. We used the free bikes to get to Mua Caves for the 500 steps to the top! We went at 0530 to avoid the crowds and heat and were back in time for a delicious breakfast. The staff speak excellent English and are very helpful. Would stay here again

The most beautiful eco lodge with views of the rice terraces. We found it to be perfectly located for cycling to both Tam Coc and Trang An using the complimentary bicycles. We ate dinner in the hotel which was good.

The staff were amazing and the location was perfect. Sadly the hot water in the room cycled between scalding hot and very cold every 10 seconds which made it very uncomfortable to shower if not impossible which was a major issue for us. The hotel had ongoing construction and you can hear any minor noises thorough the windows and doors. Also the breakfast was sub par, not many options at all with just standard joe coffee and flavoured tea on offer (no breakfast tea). The beds are absoloutly rock solid, felt like i was sleeping on wood boards so didnt get a good nights sleep at all. The staff and location deserve 5 stars but the rest of it made it a very uncomfortable stay.

Such a beautiful situation and surrounding. Wonderful property/hotel : quiet, lovely architecture, intimate and Charming! Staff truly wonderful too. Breakfast offering okay, the pool is a bit warm as only negative and cocktail bar isn’t very good to. But that said we would recommend this place very highly!! Super calm surroundings yet a very quick car ride away from bustling city. Best of both worlds. We rented motorcycles directly from the eco lodge. Such a fantastic time we all had (family of 4 with daughters aged 23 & 21). Staff super lovely! Been there End of May and found bathroom very hot as only negative with the wonderful accomodation.

Very happy with Chezcao Ecologe, the room is huge and clean, it comes with a big bath tub. We are surrounded by ricefield and they have free bicycle for you to roam around. The breakfast is simple but delicious 😍 Highly recommend!!!

The ChezCao hotel is a little piece on paradise. Beautiful rooms, amazing facilities, in a very peaceful environment. The staff were amazing, great breakfast choice. As there is only 12 rooms it’s not super busy so it’s very enjoyable. The food was great and reasonably priced. We would absolutely return to ChezCao

I visited during the rainy season. I did not get the requested balcony. I got a sunroom instead. The sunroom leaked heavily when it rained and soaked the couch in that room. I had an incredible experience staying at Chez Cao. The staff was warm and welcoming, the room and the view were both gorgeous, and it is centrally located. I had to leave early and they packed me a to-go breakfast! They let me take a bike for free and I was able to ride to most of the major sites and restaurants. I would absolutely stay here again.

We loved our stay so much. The property is beautiful and the rooms absolutely stunning. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. And whether it was with a coconut coffee or an excellent Hanoi-based IPA, we enjoyed our poolside time after visiting the local sights. The food was also excellent. The goat dishes were real standouts. Thank you for such a wonderful time in this beautiful place
