La Siesta was one of the best hotels that we stayed in during our 2 week trip to Asia. The location in the Old Quarter was fantastic and the service was incredible. They will sit you down and review a map of Hanoi with you, then proceed to walk you to your room. You see the same familiar faces at the front desk each day, and they remember you! The front desk staff are also extremely familiar with the Old Quarter and have yummy food recommendations. They will recommend the hole in the wall restaurants that are busy with locals that you want to go to! We didn't have a window in our room, but that was okay as we weren't in the room that often. Breakfast buffet is included and Vietnamese options could be improved such as more toppings for the chao and perhaps banh cuon. If a pool is important to you (it was not to us), then there isn't one at this hotel. There is an extremely nice roof top bar that we visited during our trip.

The rooftop bar was really fun and the drinks were amazing. The staff was so helpful and has great recommendations. We did a spa treatment as well and were very impressed. The location is perfect to walk around the old quarter. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Amazing hotel with a very loving staff who made us feel right at home. The rooftop bar was probably the coolest spot in all of Hanoi and drinks were cheap (around $5-6) considering the high luxury of the place. They have happy hour everyday. The room was quiet and cozy. A/C worked well. They have free to use umbrellas for the guests. The breakfast was absolutely amazing each morning (it's more like a brunch!). Walkable to anywhere with many restaurants and shopping nearby. Accessible by Grab.

It’s a conveniently placed hotel with access to all the best places and the hustle and bustle of the Old Quarter. The staff are super friendly and helpful. May say however that the interiors could use an upgrade, the gym equipment is dated, the aircon in the room leaks after extensive use, the bed is rather uncomfortable and the rooms are not isolated from noise. There were also limited gluten and dairy intolerance accommodating breakfast items. The roof top bar is sensational however.

Clean, lovely lobby, good breakfast buffet, excellent staff friendly and helpful. Super clean. Location is in the old quarter so you leave an elegant lobby to chaos outside but you don't hear it in the hotel. It's in a location that taxis can get to you unlike many other places further in the old quarter. I would definitely stay again.

Hotel was very clean and well taken care of. The staff is extremely attentive and polite. We really enjoyed the breakfast options and Red Bean on occation when not wanting to wrestle with the scooters and traffic outside the hotel. I really want to point out the amazing servince from Dung "Jun", my daughter has allergies and she went above and beyond for her. She also developed a relationship with my daughter to the point where my 3 year old would ask where she is every day. Just wonderful. I would not hesitate to stay here again in the future. Excellent property and staff right in the heart of Old Quarter.

I went to Hanoi with my wife and adult daughter. I booked 4 different hotels 4 months before our trip. 2 weeks before we flew, I narrowed it down to Hanoi La Siesta in the Old Quarter because it had a spa and a hotel rooftop bar (cigar smoking allowed!) and most importantly, our guided tours were walking distance to.from the hotel. The staff very attentive and professional staff. We checked in close to midnight. The hotel booked us a private large car from the airport to accommodate our bags (12 days + wedding). I was afraid that our "windowless" room was going to disappoint, but I was wrong. The modern rooms were next to each other, one queen bed, one king, offered plenty of space for our stuff. These hotels aren't tall, and they are built right next to another building so at most if you had a view, you would hear the local traffic and look out into the busy street way. Windowless was a welcome, because our sleep was never interrupted by noise or the impending morning sun. Breakfast buffet was pretty good, custom eggs, pho, in season fruits, Vietnamese coffee. If you are expecting to fill up at the buffet, you are going to never be hungry for the amazing street food Vietnam has to offer. BTW, if you order bottled water or a can product, you will be charged. Spa treatments were great and inexpensive. Rooftop bar was relaxing and had a great view and drink specials! Did I mention the staff was amazing?! They even walked us to exchange our USD at a jewelry store.

I booked 3 nights at Hanoi la Siesta Ma May in the Duplex Suite with 2 king beds. The bedroom was the perfect size for me and my travel companion with the two bathrooms. The elevator is slow, but stairs are conveniently located next to them. The building is well-maintained. The staff was exceptional. We received help in booking a couple reservations and the staff was extremely helpful in their recommendations. The hotel also offers a small map with all the main attractions marked with a list on the back of all the places to see or eat in Hanoi. This was a huge asset to our trip. The bellhop even walked us to our car with all our luggage after the streets closed to motor vehicles (streets become pedestrian only in the Old Quarter Friday night to Sunday). I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

Lovely room — staff were friendly and I like how the lobby has a lot of seating. Popular with westerners. The breakfast was adequate to get your day started. But I can say it’s clean, it’s quiet, it’s trustworthy and nice… but I can Garuntee you you won’t find better hotel staff. We had an absolutely fantastic 5 night stay here! The staff were so incredibly kind and helpful with everything and it truly made the stay exceptional. Special mention to Kathryn, who was fantastic! The room was very comfortable, spacious and clean. Breakfast was also very good, with a wide variety of options from a buffet and a la carte. Overall a wonderful stay and we hope to be back!

Loved the hotel and staff. Just a beautiful hotel (very quiet inside the hotel) and very friendly staff. Outside the hotel (for us) was a nightmare. Extremely busy street with so many mopeds, motorcycles, taxis, cars, trucks, vendors people walking, etc. that you really could not walk safely on the street. We were overwhelmed by the noise outside the hotel. Looking for REAL downtown Hanoi then this is the place to stay. We loved the hotel but as a family we prefer the "resort" style hotels. Five stars inside two stars outside.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Classic Ma May. It is a lovely hotel in a great location in the old quarter. Our room was a good size and clean. Breakfast was very tasty and included a variety of foods including fresh fruit and an egg station. We had dinner two nights at the hotel after long travel/ tour days - both meals were really tasty. The rooftop bar has an amazing view and lovely for an early evening drink. All the staff are very attentive friendly and helpful. Special shout out to Hang Pham and Amy (travel desk) who provided recommendations on restaurants and things to do as well as also helping us book a Halong Bay cruise and train tickets. We really appreciate the help it made our stay less stressful and a lot more enjoyable! Thanks again for a lovely stay!
