Knights Inn Lake City

I prepaid for my room. Upon arrival I'm required to pay a $50 cash deposit. The hotel does not have an ATM on-site so I have to go the gas station down the street to get money. Upon returning I tell them that I have a pet, which I indicated when I made the reservation. That's another $100 cash deposit. So now I have to go back to the service station ATM again. The placed me in a 2nd floor room with a pet. No elevators the hotel. So I've got to haul my luggage and the pet supplies to the 2nd floor. I have a 14 year old dog that requires a bathroom break in the middle of the night. Up and down the stairs. The room was dirty, broken floor boards, roaches. Never again. Staff is rude. Will walk by you and not speak.

I liked the fact it did not stink and the people running it spoke where you could understand what they said. They were very nice and friendly. The room was clean. The parking was ok. We were just off the interstate. Easy to get and go the next morning. A nice place for the price we paid.

Needs to be remodeled or repairs by a professional.

Strange policy that EVERYONE must give a $50 cash deposit when checking in. Credit card or pre pay doesn’t matter so had to go find an atm at 11pm. Beyond that this was an extremely run down property. That said it was very cheap and was clean enough so other than the stupid deposit thing it was worth the $$.

We were in RM 212 for 1 night and at first glance, the floor looked clean, until you walk on it and noticed your feet getting black. Mold along the window. Cobwebs In corners. Our room must have been a double because the headboard to the other bed was still nailed to the wall. The Wi-Fi sucked. I couldn't hook my Ruku box up and get a signal. Their was bugs in the bathroom. Smashed bugs on the wall. Instead of a light on the ceiling, it was covered up with a Walmart plastic bag. The stairway to the 2nd floor was "utterly" disgusting. I didn't even bother touching the microwave or refrigerators. Never again will I stay in such "FILTH!"

Truly the most horrifying hotel experience I've ever had. Arrived exhausted on four hours of sleep only for the check-in process to take 20-30 minutes. They asked for a cash deposit of $100 for the two rooms and told us that we'd have to find an ATM in the middle of the night if we didn't have the cash on us. They also asked for ID. The woman checking us in was friendly, but the process was tedious and long. They had no elevator, so we lugged the heavy suitcase up the stairs to the second floor. There were holes cut in the drywall in the hallway and an assaulting array of odors ranging from vapes, weed, cigarettes, and general mustiness. There was only one working lamp in the room, but even the dim light was sufficient to view the abhorrent state of the room. There was a roach on the wall when I walked in, the beds looked hastily made, and unclean and the furniture looked as though it came from a dumpster!

Every inch of the hotel was worn, damaged walls, floors, ages and cheap dated furniture. Towels were like sandpaper and dirty, outlets loose, no hot water, noisy ac, tv didn’t work, or phone, and whole place , rooms, hallways smelled like pot. Staff was friendly and tried to accommodate but wow.

Don't ever stay here! This place was nasty. From the mildew smell when you walk into the lobby, to the hole in the floor of my 2nd floor room, to the black mold on the bathroom walls. The mildew smell was even worse in the room. It was so bad that I checked out by 6 p.m. and went to another hotel. Not to mention all of the "regulars" who live there. A lot of tweekers. If you're passing through Lake City, steer clear of the Knights Inn.

Room was not clean. Saw signs of possible dead bed bug on walls. Other dead bugs through the room.

You definitely get what you pay for and less with this one definitely don't recommend light for the bathroom was a ghetto lamp the entire room smelled like an old musty home which is in fact MOLD production bacteria

There was nothing clean about this motel at all. It smelled like pee, and mold. The AC made this awful sound every few minutes, keeping us up all night. I killed a cockroach and a spider first night there. I told my kids not to take off their shoes, the floor was dirty and sticky. We didn’t want to use the shower but we had to after staying there for a few days. My husband went to Walmart and bought some air fresheners and candles as we couldn’t handle the smell anymore. I am, however, thankful that it was available during the hurricane so I gave it one star for the price. Overall, our experience there was not enjoyable but we didn’t sign up for that. We signed up to escape the hurricane. You get what you pay for I guess. Maybe management could spend more time cleaning and less time smoking outside might make a world of difference but I guess they do not care. I would not recommend this hotel to any of my friends or family and would not come back.

Bedbugs in rm 219 , in room 221 dirty hair all over the pillow slips and sheets and the front desk person lied saying she checked it I stood outside and watch her not leave the desk the whole time wasn't there 10 minutes and they are refusing to give my money back the hotel needs to be checked or condemned how they do it

This place was very dirty the bath room was nasty not clean the room door was bent had to push hard to close it there was a tampon applicator laying on the floor by the bed the sheetz was hardly on the one bed looked reused the tv was unplugged the room phone did not work and the room smelled like mildew. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

Our toilet was leaking when you flush it , our curtains was uneven you could literally see outside on one side , i was itching when i laid in the bed ,it smell like dogs & i had my newborn baby with me who i was afraid to even take out of his car seat to even lay him down it was so nasty , & they wouldn’t even refund me & I left I didn’t stay neither night .

Place was an absolute mess, parts of the wall was missing, bathroom door was screwed together and bent, electrical outlets were broken and black mold in the shower

No latch on my room door Smelly

Don't stay here! It's not worth going cheap! There were brown spots on the white sheets, the shower wasn't sealed or culked; the shower head was barely hanging onto the sheetrock. The floor had spill marks on it. The TV was on when we came into the room and we couldn't turn it off without unplugging it and we couldn't adjust the volume.

The bed was not good in the floor was very weak

The staff was amazing but it definitely needs upgrades. The bed was so uncomfortable and soft spots in the floor. The bathroom wqs nice and convenient. Loved the shower. The hot water barely got hot.

There were two tvs only one worked and the only channel was TBS. The room felt dirty and did not smell good. I will never stay there again.

I can’t say enough good things about the wonderful staff. Very, accommodating, patient, helpful, & friendly They went out of their way to accommodate us we need 3 rooms due to Hurricane Milton and only had only booked 1 night and ended up staying 4 so far. Again I can’t Thank them enough for their excellent caring service! ❤️

Irresponsible, not a good place to stay staff not good or friendly was not interested in helping with my reservation i had but was not in the computer the desk clerk wasn't helpful at all he wasn't clean or interested in helping with my reservation i would not recommend this place to anyone.

Dirty, smelled nasty upon entering, required CASH ONLY up front, no breakfast, no coffee in the room or lobby, floor in bathroom was falling in, some very shady characters all around the property and the worst staff ever! DO NOT STAY HERE!

Thw front desk agent refused service after demanding I pay for the room and a deposit in cash. And then a tattooed machoman Randy Savage type comes out to try and bully the money out of me or he is gonna call the cops. i asked for my reservation to then be cancelled since i was being refused service and he again refused. I need to make sure i am not charged for my stay and that this dumpy hotel accounts for its horrible training and staff

The carpet was so dirty it made our feet black, we stayed with no power for 3 days, no discount, and hotel staff had a horrible attitude from the time we checked in, to the time we left, they screamed at me multiple times and the called the cops on me and said I was “threatening to jump them” had boric acid behind the night stand, and tv stand. Soft spot in the floor and we were on the 2nd floor. Overall the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in.

Hurricane Helene had the entire city in an uproar. The staff was very accommodating and the lady manager was very nice and had already saved our room for another night stay in advance before we asked because our power was still out. We were able to bring our pet with no problems.

Th stay was great and this coming from a hotel housekeeper on the beach side I would say the rooms needs a deep clean like the walls and maybe a pest control service but other then that the staff was amazing and options to eat open and close by
