Wonderful hotel with great amenities!

Easy accessibility and parking. The staff was very pleasant and efficient . Beautiful ADA room.

I enjoyed my stay here! As a solo female traveler, I felt very safe. There are other hotels nearby so it is not isolated, plus the doors have two locks. What really impressed me of this property was the newness of the entire facility. It was very clean and my room was spotless! King bed was super comfortable and I enjoyed all the toiletries provided. I also used the gym which had a lot to offer for a small facility! My only feedback is entirely personal as I'm aware properties do not have control over this. I am very sensitive to sound and this property faces an interstate highway, which isn't super noisy anyways but every once in a while you'll hear loud mufflers and such. Additionally, I could hear every footstep from above me. Should I stay here again, I would request the top floor if possible to avoid this. This is not unique to me, as a friend of me stayed here as well and shared she could hear her upstairs and nextdoor neighbors. I slept with ear plugs on which solved the issue, but just be aware! I'm also light sensitive, but the blackout curtains on the windows were PHENOMENAL! My room was pitch black and I was facing all the highway and street lights! It was even a little too good, I imagine without an alarm I could've overslept! Lastly, the close proximity to UA was unmatched. I traveled for a conference and was on campus within 10 minutes. Super convenient location, awesome prices, and such a cute new property!

Check in smooth. New hotel next to interstate. Loud. Had to keep the air conditioning blowing to muffle the highway noise all night. But great coffee bar in the lobby!

They use some sort of hotel-wide air freshener in this hotel that smells like a bar bathroom. Literally made me nauseous and gave me a headache it was so strong and toxic-smelling. Worse in the halls but also smelled in the room. The shower in our room was gross and there was something red and viscous on the shower wall that looked like blood. Since it was late and my son wanted to shower before bed, my husband just cleaned it. In the morning I went to the desk to let them know and ask them to refresh the room and re-clean the shower thoroughly. When we got back the second night, no one had cleaned the room at all. Back to the desk to get fresh towels and reported that no one had cleaned the room. Instead of an apology I was told it “probably wasn’t even blood” and they only clean every other day. (Fair if I hadn’t ASKED for the room to be cleaned.) For a chain with a cleanliness guarantee, this was a fail.

Clealniless was a plus but I saw a few roaces in the room. Plus I was taken aback in that theirs no accessible microwave in the room. As for the continental breakfast nothing to brag about. In my opinion not work the extra money in that the rooms are paper thin. Outside road noise and the individuals above us were a bit unnerving.

This property looked nice but when I got in the room there were bugs so I went to the front desk and they moved me to a different room that room had bugs in the bathroom but the staff that worked was nice but I checked out the same day I checked in

Very modern and clean. The breakfast was great and the staff was professional. The only complaint if there were one, is the room is a little smaller than traditional hotel rooms.

The Avid Hotel staff were among the BEST brand supporters we’ve encountered. Cordial and friendly from entry to exit. Small caveat… the properties technology in the rooms was very challenging to connect AirPlay as the TV channels offer little in the way of movie entertainment.

This is a very nice hotel, beds are very good, everything clean , ac is good, the room is modern and new. The rooms are not big but I don’t need anything bigger - no couch or sofa and only big enough for two. Soundproof windows since it’s close to a highway.

The hotel is newer, in good condition. However, the rooms have a tremendous amount of noise all night long from the interstate highway and street. The angle of the hotel and large windows contribute to the problem.

Appears to be a brand new, very clean hotel. Yolanda was great--personable, polite, and knowledgable--at check-in. While there might not be a microwave or coffeemaker in the room (that makes it a bit more eco-friendly), there is a small fridge and the coffee is made fresh for each cup and that is a nice surprise. The room is very nice though a queen bed should be the largest in this room. I would highly recommend staying here as it is nice, quiet (unless you don't like highway traffic), clean, and pleasant.

Brand new hotel so it is spotless and modern. Beds very comfortable, great water pressure in the shower, and best hotel breakfast we've had -- Starbucks style egg bites and decent omelet, and at least one non-sugary cereal option. Only complaint is that our king bed room was very small -- just enough room to walk around the bed. This worked for our one night stay but I would have found it a little claustrophobic for a longer visit.

Walls are very thin. You could hear ever step the person in the room took. The rooms are very small. Almost like a cruise ship. Other than that the staff was very nice and the hotel was clean. The bed was comfortable

I will never again stay at an IHG or AVID Hotel. Ever. The place LOOKS nice. But looks are deceiving. I was told I booked a 2 queen bed room. They weren't even close to queen size. Definitely FULL SIZE, not queen. They're not comfortable either. Then the floors and ceilings are paper thin and we couldn't sleep for the people walking around upstairs all night. The rooms are tiny. I highly suggest staying somewhere else that doesn't have an IHG logo on the front.

They would not let me check in even though the room was paid for without charges of incidental fee. Told me I would have to loose the room fee if incidental not paid

The front desk attendant was very polite and helpful. She told me all of the amenities available to me. Her name was Savannah. I think she should be rewarded for being a great employee. She was also quick and efficient in the check in procedure. I had been on the road all day and I was super tired when I arrived, so I appreciated the extra effort from her.

We stayed at this property before, and we always return. The room was clean and comfortable. The housekeeping staff kept our room clean. The desk staff and breakfast attendant were friendly, helpful, and always on top of things.

The Manager was very nice & professional. The employees are very nice & go above & beyond to make you feel welcome.

Staff was not ready for a game day weekend! Very disappointing! Check in time was 3. We were not able to check in until 4:45 related to rooms needing to be cleaned. We were later to the game and unable to tailgate beforehand!

Enjoyed our stay, bed was comfortable, place was quiet but it was a Sunday night. Breakfast options were decent, and plenty of dining options nearby, but not walkable due to busy road. A bit hard to enter and exit, need a sign by the driveway saying "AVID entry here>". Nice place, newly built 2023.

Only two complaints- the room was very small and the location is not great for making frequent visits to UofA. McFarland is a very busy street and you can only turn right out of the parking lot.

New 2 star property, right off interstate. Clean, polite staff, basic and priced right for a short stay. Breakfast basic but good.

I needed a place to rest for the night after a long day’s trip. I saw that Avid was an IHG hotel so I decided to stay there. It was perfect. Quiet hotel. Parking lot was well-lit. Manager on duty was friendly and very helpful. My room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of food to choose from and was included in the price. I would stay here again.

Very clean. Affordable. Great breakfast. Coffee all day. Friendly helpful staff. However, no drawer furniture or safe for valuables.

The facility was clean and comfy and the hotel staff was very nice! I also liked that we could check out on our tv instead of going to the front desk. The only thing I didn’t really enjoy was the breakfast. It was just okay. Overall, we had an excellent stay. Would recommend!

Everything was new and clean. The breakfast was okay. Egg sandwich or omelets were the only hot food but plenty of breakfast items. Coffee available all day was good. The location was a quick jump into highway to get to the university appx15min. The only thing was that we requested daily housekeeping and they never came and would have to request it again late in the day. Annoying that rooms can’t be made up and cleaned daily! We shouldn’t have to chase them for it. Other than that the hotel was pretty basic but good.

This hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly. There was a wonderful selection of breakfast items that were both quick and healthy.

This was a great spot to stay. New, but not fancy. It was certainly worth the rate that I paid. Bfast is for convenience (premade bfast sandwiches, granola bars, bagels, coffee, etc). Linda at the front desk was great.

This was my second time staying here. The hotel is very clean. The staff was extremely nice. The breakfast was simple and just what we needed. It is close to the highway , but so quiet inside. The price was amazing especially if you want to visit your Alabama student frequently!
