There is NO Free parking for this hotel. They told us to park in the public pay parking lot across from the hotel and my car wasbroken into. 3 windows broken. The lot takes no responsibility, the police filed a report but won't do anything, there are cameras but said they won't get a search warrant for them. So nothing. My responsibility to file with my insurance.

Room was ok. Didn’t realize there was only valet parking for $55 a night or street parking which I did not feel comfortable in that deep of STL to park my brand new vehicle on the streets all night. Homeless people sleeping on the streets in front of it. Elevators didn’t work one morning and had to walk down flights of stairs with all my stuff. Ended up checking out a day early and went to another hotel.

The parking issue will keep me from ever staying there again. It was pouring rain and cars were in the street and we couldn’t get close to the actual building. My wife ran through ankle deep water and pouring rain to find out where we should park and to get a luggage cart. They told us to leave our car in the middle of the street and we’d have to carry our luggage as they didn’t know where their luggage cart was. We were soaked and our luggage was soaked. A valet parking attendant stood in the vestibule and watched us struggle with our stuff and trying to open the door in the pouring rain. At check in they were unapologetic about having no luggage cart and certainly didn’t try to help. The whole situation was infuriating. The room was mediocre and there was lukewarm water in the shower. The bed was lumpy and uncomfortable. Definitely not a great place for the money. Breakfast was the only bright spot.

Great hotel. Clean, friendly staff. Free breakfast and convenient location. Only reason I have a 4 star rating is parking is not ideal. There is only the option for on the street parking $5 every two hours, or pay for valet that is $55 a night.

There were no clear directions on the valet parking and the attendants were rude and not helpful. In addition construction around the hotel made this situation more difficult and confusing. The shower in one of the 3 rooms we booked was dirty and the shower in another room had no running water along with trash from another guest in one of the drawers.

This hotel is dirty. Our room had crumbs on the floor, a dirty hand towel in the bathroom, sticky chairs, and pubic hair on the bedspread and on the sheets. We had to ask for bedding for the sofa bed and we were given two pillows with no cases and 2 bedspreads that felt stiff. There is absolutely NO HOT WATER. So unless you want a cold shower you will be out of luck. Security was sleeping in the lobby. After we did more research and read reviews on the hotel we decided at midnight that we just didn’t trust that our vehicle would be safe from a break-in on the street and we packed up and checked out. We drove 3.5 hours home rather than stay there. We were given no explanation for why there was no hot water. At that point we just wanted to get home. We loaded up our car and there was a man sleeping on the sidewalk directly across the street from our car. I am beyond disappointed in this hotel.

Valet parking was terribly unorganized. There were 10+ vehicles stacked up out front waiting to be parked…at 7pm…not right at check in. The room smelled absolutely foul. Especially the bathroom. The smell did not dissipate. The overall cleanliness of the hotel was minimal at best. The only reason I gave it two stars is due to the politeness of the staff, which was surprising due to the stress I’m can only imagine they endure throughout the shift due to the area that the hotel is located. I've never stayed at a hotel, let alone a Hilton property that requires an armed security guard 24/7. It was truly a wild experience. I’d have to say the cons of unsanitary conditions and potential crime highly outweigh the pros of decent price and being downtown.

I’ve stayed at this location several times through the years. Some experiences have been better than others. This most recent one was only okay. The staff member to greet me was not very friendly. This location will charge a $50 check in fee any time before 4pm even when rooms are ready and available, even if you are a Hilton honor member. The room had hairs everywhere and the towels had hairs intertwined in them. The carpets were dirty. Just a lack of care on this trip.

The hotel and room were beautiful! Very nice indeed. The room was more than I imagined it would be. But there were hairs left all over the floor, in the shower, on the sink in the bathroom. It seemed the more I wiped up the more I found. This was my biggest issue. I didn’t complain because I knew they were pretty full from what I was told at checkin. I didn’t hate it enough to leave but it definitely made me double check the cleanliness of all linen in the space. It was as if some guy (or girl) had shaved their hair and just left it everywhere. But then his/her girlfriend tried to clean it up and then left their long hairs everywhere too.

The bathroom was not clean. There was a glob of hair in toilet and you could tell the shower was not wiped down, there were a couple strands of hair on wall and a ring from a bottle on the shelf that I tried to wipe off to see if it was stained and it wiped right off

What made this stay amazing was the 5-star staff at the hotel. They are a delight, every single person we interacted with was above and beyond kind, helpful, and just lovely, which means a lot to me these days. Negatives: I slept on the couch bed in my room, which came with a baffling assortment of sheets (4 pillowcases, 1 pillow, 2 fitted sheets), the shower took like 5 minutes to heat up every morning, but these are things that are fixable or that I can live with. Positives: the free breakfast was pretty decent, the staff (as mentioned), the room had solid amenities for a traveler who needs kitchen space (full size fridge/freezer, dishwasher, full set of plates, etc). This is a hotel that is really trying to offer an elevated experience, and is mostly getting there. And for the price, absolutely a great deal. Would stay here again for sure.

Great, clean suite in the middle of STL downtown. It is about 20-30 mins from STL airport and minutes by walk to most of downtown / arch. The breakfast was hot, proper continental. Coffee was great. The kitchenette had proper, useful appliances. The hotel staff were one of the kindest and hard working people I have met. At 1 AM in the morning, front office staff DelShannon helped me print some last minute papers needed for my business event the next day! I cannot see such kindness and customer obsession these days anywhere else.

The room was descent. The check-in was horrible. They don't have enough staff. I felt sorry for the two young ladies at the front desk on 4/15/23. They handled the fact that it was 4pm and there were very few rooms available because of housekeeping staffing. The check-in line was very long. We waited at least an hour. We had no idea there were 2 hotels in one. One side was Tru the other was home 2 suites. There were more available rooms for Tru and none for the other. Staff literally were bringing a handwritten list of 2-3 rooms available like every 20mins while the check-in line continued to grow. Same issues for the valet but i want to give kudos to the valet, those young men were literally running like a track team to gather the cars for our departure but it was still a stressful scene. Management needs to do better. Oh i forgot to add my room had NO HOT WATER!! As well as no wash cloths! Definitely won't be returning and i love this chain of hotels.

When we first arrived and got our room key, the room key didn’t work. So then we had to go through the process of new keys and a new room. After we arrived at our second room, the AC wasn’t working. The thermostat said unoccupied room and wouldn’t allow us to turn on the AC. We called down and they sent someone up. When someone arrived, they looked at it as well and said it looked frozen. That they were booked up or they’d just move us rooms, again. They were supposed to have their manager come look at it. We waited until the temperature said 81 degrees in Mid August until I started to mess with it. Eventually, I was able to take a screw out that completely pulled off the thermostat and I held down some buttons until the whole thing eventually reset itself. Then, the AC was able to turn on. I called down to the front desk to let them know that we resolved the issue ourselves. Unfortunately, it wasn’t a thank you or an I’m sorry. The answer I got was “okay” and hung up the phone. I am disappointed at the chaos that happened when we arrived. And I am disappointed at the fact that nobody checked on the status of the AC etc. we had to fix it ourselves or it seemed we’d be sleeping in 85 degrees, but still paying for the full room. I am just disappointed overall. Due to that service experience I wouldn’t stay again.

The hotel is in the historical Shell Building. I stayed Friday and Saturday night. The room was well appointed and clean. Check-in was quick and easy. There is a full service breakfast in the morning. The location is walking distance to the Enterprise Center where the St. Louis Blues play. The church and park across the street have a few homeless folks sleeping and wandering around. The hotel has security. Valet is $55 per night, but I was able to find metered street parking. I paid less than $10 on the street for my entire stay. I would stay here again.

We like Hotel2 Suites and have stayed in several different ones. This building seems older and elevator landings looked like they needed a little paint and upkeep. Our room was excellent! Very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a bit disappointing. We got there at 8:15 and a lot of stuff was gone. No bagels. Plates and forks running low. Whole floor was sticky. No eggs. Usually they have eggs and omelettes and such. Maybe someone didn’t show up for work and they were short staffed? AND you have to pay $55 for valet parking. I expect a place to park my car when I book a hotel and parking on the street or paying $55 for valet seems crummy. But we did park on the street and it was fine. There are homeless camping at a church next door but they weren’t asking for money or anything. Only one man spoke to us and he was friendly so it wasn’t a scary situation at all.

We came into town for a concert and the hotel was not prepared for the volume of check-in or for breakfast in the morning, by 9am they were out of most foods and silverware was limited…I think the staff did the best they could but I think they should have staffed more to account for the volume of guests.
