Lovely large room with spacious and clean bathroom. Easy to get to with loads of parking and quick walk into Donegal to see the castle or a local pub (The Forge is 100m away and also excellent). Would highly recommend getting the breakfast (12.5 Euro pp) as it was delicious and excellent value.

As advertised. Lots of parking and an easy walk (5 mins or less) to the town square where the are lots of pub and dining options. Full king size bed. Excellent breakfast next door.

This hotel is in a great location. The town of Donegal is quite lovely and very easy to walk in. I was driving throughout Ireland (over 900 miles on the trip), and this hotel was easy to find, had free parking, and was a eight minute walk from the center of the town.

This place is a little jem in Donegal town.The room was so cosy and clean.zThe bed was really comfortable and i definitely couldn't fault it. The reception staff were so friendly and I would definitely stay here again.zThe breakfast is definitely worth the money as the restaurant is first class.

The main reason for my lower rating is that the sheets were dirty (dirt and hair in them), and when we called down to the night porter he didn't offer to change them and wasn't very apologetic. He did provide clean sheets and we changed them ourselves. In the morning the staff was lovely though, and otherwise a clean room.

This little hotel was a great choice. Reasonably priced, great location, quiet and clean. Rooms are small but comfortable and have all you need. Reception staff efficient and helpful. Breakfast had a great choice of tasty food and good service.

Room was small but big enough. Room and bathroom all seemed nice and new. Plenty of parking. Didn’t try the breakfast so can’t speak to food. Staff very friendly. Only problem was it was like sleeping in a sauna. Hottest hotel room on earth.

We stayed here one night while driving the Wild Atlantic Way. We were extremely pleased with our stay. The room was very clean and comfortable. No AC but they did have a fan.Looks to be a newer building. They are in a good location and have a big parking lot. You can walk a few blocks into town to most of the restaurants. The bathroom was new but it was very small and the water pressure wasn't that good. We would definitely stay again if in the area.

Lovely clean comfy room. Had a bit of trouble with the heating not staying on, but this may be because we are not familiar with using this style of heating. Staff very helpful especially in advising that just down the road were Laundromat style facilities.

Bored receptionist who couldn’t be less interested in guests if she tried. We said we would pay for breakfast separately but despite this we were charged for three full Irish. When we questioned this we were told it was all the same. Won’t be back!

The staff at Gateway Lodge is AMAZING, with hospitality to travel-weary guests without sleep for 24 hours above and beyond expectation! They got us settled, and we enjoyed a wonderful late lunch at Blas Cafe, in preparation for a solid night's sleep our first night in Ireland. Appreciated them all more than we could say. My stay was a normal. We were traveling around Ireland. What happened after the stay was amazing. I left my iPad in the room and we were down in Galway. The folks at the hotel found my iPad and helped get it shipped to my upcoming hotel in Dublin. Amazing and the best customer service I have ever had when staying in at a hotel. Period. Thank you for your help.

We stayed at the Gateway Lodge in Donegal during our travels in Ireland. The onsite parking was convenient and easily accessible. Hotel is just a short walk to town with several dinner options. We ate at The Olde Castle Bar - seafood was fantastic! Donegal castle is just a few min walk from the hotel!
