Funcionários muiiito atenciosos e prestativos. O único inconveniente é subir com as malas na escada e o barulho da rua. Mas não desabona o hotel. Gostamos muito!!!

Voor je aankomt nemen ze contact op via whatsapp, als je de online check in hebt gedaan ontvang je alle informatie over waar je moet zijn. Het hotel is helemaal nieuw en ruime kamers. Ze zijn super vriendelijk en altijd in voor een praatje en geven je tips. De locatie is top, midden op placa reial met tal van restaurants en bars. Buiten altijd lawaai tot vroeg in de ochtend maar op de kamer hoor je daar niks van, zelf nu ze nog deels aan het verbouwen zijn geen overlast ondervonden.

Lite svårt att hitta ingången, men när det väl va gjort och man kom upp på andra våning så var bemötandet toppklass. Trevliga rum och en fantastisk utsikt över torget

Location! Located on the most beautiful plazas in old Barcelona, Pl Reial. The room was clean and had a balcony door which we left open when we were in the room for fresh air. The bathroom, towels and sheets were boutique quality. Be prepared for the 2 flights up (more like 3) with no elevator. The front door, hotel door (building shared with apartments) and your room door all work from a 6 digit code. The kettle for tea was nice but only 4 oz paper cups. We could not figure out the coffee. The food was sad. Wrapped mini muffins from BJ's and shriveled fruit. Just steps from the door were excellent pastry shops and markets. The square at night is extremely loud, with the bars open to early morning. Every morning at 5am the police came to shut down and send the last of the revelers home. Then from 5:30 to 7:00 the Plaza is empty and quiet. Book a cab if going out at first light. The true negative is that in the middle of our stay the 24 hour desk, one reason I would pay the price of the room which I thought a bit high, cut the hours to 11:00 to 7:00, the 8:30 to 18:30. The emergency number did not work on my phone but did work on my travel companions. If I had known ahead I would have canceled my reservation and switched hotels but we were in the middle of our stay. We requested a cab for the airport and had it pick us up at 6:35 as I wanted someone on the desk when the cab arrived or failed to arrive. Their transportation arrangements worked well.

I recently stayed for six nights at the Hostal Ambos Mudos in the Gothic Quarter of beautiful Barcelona. I was initially a bit nervous when I realized that I hadn’t actually booked into a hotel but rather a hostel. Luckily, my concerns immediately disappeared, as I soon discovered that this was more of a hybrid style hostel with, if I’m not mistaken, twelve completely private, individual rooms, several of which that have balconies directly overlooking the beautiful Plaça Reial. In short, my stay at the Hostal Ambos Mundos was absolutely fantastic! The small staff were extremely polite and helpful in every way possible, the rooms were smallish but clean and modern feeling, the bathroom was very nice with a luxuriously large shower head, and my bed was as comfortable as can be. Also, of importance in a big city full of tourists and the possibility of tourist related crime, was that the hostel / hotel felt extremely safe and secure, requiring a code to enter the building at the base floor, a code to entry the hostel itself, and then of course, a room code, all of which were the same. And of equal importance, the front desk is staffed 24/7, so that at no time did I feel that the security of the building was ever compromised. To be clear, this isn’t a high end, luxury hotel, but rather something quite nice, simple, affordable, and safe. I would absolutely stay here again and would recommend it to any traveler who just wants a comfortable room in a beautiful part of the city.

Great location, metro close by but walking distance to many places. Rooms at the front provide fantastic views overlooking the "Royal Square" which can be lively at night. Ear plugs are provided but if you are a light sleeper you may struggle! However if you like being at the heart of everything, then this is the place for you! Rooms are modern, clean & compact but have everything you need and the staff were friendly and helpful. There is no lift (at present) but it's only 2 flights of stairs and you can apparently call the Hostal if you do need help with luggage. It's not a Hotel, so no facilities such as a restaurant or bar but lots of options in the Square, right outside your doorstep!

Property feels new. Entry is a common one that needs to be remodeled, but once you are inside the hotel all is good and new. Try Ocana, the Drag Queen host/mangers are a hoot. Tapas there and everywhere in area are amazing. Sangia amazing at Ocana’s also.

It's also very close to transit - we took the train from the airport and it dropped us off a 4 min walk away. I always felt very safe leaving things in the room, as well as walking around near the hotel even into the wee hours of the morning. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful - and all spoke fluent English. The front desk is manned 24/7 and there are pin pads to access your room with personalized codes for each guest - and even an online link that will unlock doors with the click of a button. There was free water available in the lobby as well as fruit and snacks like muffins. We got to the hotel a few hours before check-in in but they had our room ready early and let us check in. Like most buildings in the Gothic Quarter, the hotel building is very old so no elevators. If you have lots of luggage be prepared to carry it up a few flights of stairs. The inside of the hotel is beautifully newly renovated tho! If I ever come back to Barcelona I hope to be able to stay here again!

The hotel is on the third floor and there is no elevator. The desk person was helpful but it was a lot of stairs coming and going. The room was spartan. There were no tissues in the bathroom. They said that there was coffee in the lobby but it was no good. It was over 400 euros for two nights and I would not do it again.

My room was clean, and cozy, with a comfortable bed and pillows. The location is fantastic, in a plaza full of restaurants with outdoor seating and the plaza is next to La Rambla (street full of restaurants and shops). It's walking distance to the Columbus statue where one of the bus stops for the Hop on - Hop off bus stops. About a 20 min walk to Gaudi's Casa Batllo.

Très bien situé près de La Ramblas et plutôt calme, l'accueil et charmant et les chambres fonctionnelles. Toutefois, la chambre #13 est particulièrement petite et le design déroutant de la douche amène inévitablement l'eau à s'étendre sur le plancher de la salle de bain.

Fantastiskt läge, bra design på rummen, trevlig personal, men… helt idiotiska dörrar till rummen. Dörrarna saknar tröskel vilket gör att allt ljud i korridoren går rakt in i rummet!

We enjoyed our stay at Hostal Ambos. Cecilia was a rock star. She went above and beyond to meet our needs and that is really exceptional and appreciated. The room was cozy and beautiful. The shower was great. We loved the shower. In general, the room was spacious for two people for being Europe. The balcony was nice with a beautiful view of the Plaza Real. Conveniently located to all the main attractions. Walking distance to reataurants, shops and public transportation. Lovely staff that was extremely friendly, helpful and professional. Good room and great location although a bit noisy when facing the Plaza Real.

Die Lage des Hotels ist absolut perfekt – zentral und dennoch ruhig gelegen, ideal für einen Städtetrip. Das Personal war durchweg sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Besonders positiv hervorzuheben ist, dass wir unser Zimmer (Nr. 5) bereits deutlich früher als geplant beziehen konnten, was uns den Start in den Aufenthalt sehr erleichtert hat. Das Zimmer mit zwei Einzelbetten war frisch renoviert, modern gestaltet und insgesamt sehr gemütlich eingerichtet. Leider hatte es jedoch einen deutlichen Nachteil: Das Fenster ging in einen Schacht, in dem Reinigungsutensilien des Personals untergebracht waren. Dadurch gab es kaum Tageslicht, und der Ausblick war eher unattraktiv. Insgesamt war das Zimmer somit eher von „Low-Budget“-Charakter, und das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis hat leider nicht ganz überzeugt. Für Reisende, die großen Wert auf ein helles Zimmer legen, würde ich das Zimmer so nicht empfehlen – ansonsten aber ein ordentliches Hotel mit top Lage und hervorragendem Service.

We had a great stay at Hostal Ambos Mundos! We were right in the gothic quarter surrounded by tons of shops and restaurants, with La Rambla right down the street. Everything was walking distance for us including the beach and Gaudi buildings. As for the hotel, it was very cute and cozy with a friendly staff. Also the property is staffed 24/7 so we felt safe and without fear of being accidentally locked out. Despite being in a very central area, our room was super quiet and we were able to rest peacefully each night. Keep in mind there are no elevators but that was not an issue for us!
