The rooms were very clean and stylishly decorated. It reminded me of a luxury hotel from the 1980s. With one exception, the staff was very friendly and attentive. The breakfast was quite good and plentiful. I wouldn’t have dinner there again. It was good, but way too expensive—as if it were Michelin-starred cuisine. All in all, the atmosphere at dinner was far too stuffy for my liking. Ascona and the surrounding area have many fantastic restaurants, and they’re all worth visiting. Overall, we found the hospitality to be excellent, and we’ll definitely stay at this hotel again on our next visit.

We stayed at the hotel in March 2026. The hotel is dated, but clean. The staff were nice. The hotel rooms were clean. But the heat was so high it was very uncomfortable to sleep. Good location hotel, walkable distance from Ancona old town and lake. Nice pickup and drop of with hotel bus (from and to Locarno train station. Staff was overwhelmed with a series of group booking, confusion was evident but no improvement. My room was a small but with a view, AC not working and none of the staff knew how to fix it. Breakfast on the terrace overlooking the lake and pool was a nice setting but staff again overwhelmed with groups.
