There was NO restaurant on the property even though they advertised a restaurant and bar. The front desk said they closed because they had no chef. They said there was food a 5 or 10 minute walk. I wasn’t taking a sketchy walk at night so I did without dinner.

A/C sounds like a freight train, windows are thin so you hear the freeway, pool and hot tub were out of service, and a constant running vent in the bathroom that never shuts off. Motion sensor bathroom lights that shut off when you shower leaving you in the dark.

Great location and great price for our quick stay. They are going through a change of name and there is no name to the hotel as of yet. They have done many new upgrades, nice gym (peloton) doesn't work, pool going the remodel. Just wish people won't smoke weed in the rooms, elevators, smell lingers terrible and just rude. Hotel staff try to stay on top of it with cleaning and leaving the elevators doors open to air out smell.

I understand the property is undergoing construction. However, when I first pulled up to check in there was a homeless looking guy wandering around in front. I walked into a filthy lobby it honestly looked abandoned. A woman came out to check me in and she was very kind and helpful. After that I never saw soul during my stay. It felt creepy and unsafe. The elevators were all covered with cardboard, the hallways were very dark. There is a 2 inch gap between my front door and the floor I had to cover with towels. And there was a sign saying water would be cut off periodically. it should have been a much, much cheaper stay.

I liked everything overall but there is one thing I do have to complain about and it was the first day I got there the restrooms toilet had poop stains it wasn’t cleaned I had to sanitize myself. It was very disgusting but I couldn’t change my room since they barely found a room to fit me in cause it wasn’t done yet.

It was like a cheap hotel. No amenities. Under staffed to the point that no one answered the phone on several occasions. No one at the front counter much of the time and no bell to ring for service. Customers had to shout out for help at the sign in point.. Paper coffee cups, malfunctioning toilet, water $2, no microwave, same trash in parking area as was the night before, had requested bathtub but no handicap room but didn't have one, no trolleys in reception area. It was even difficult to find the front door to the place. I thought a Hilton would be a nicer hoter. This must be the bottom of their line.

While the gentleman at the front desk was very nice and accommodating, the first room they gave us hadn’t been cleaned. Hair all over the sink, what looked like dog food on the ground, and a pile of dirty towels in the room. They did switch our room upon request to a clean room, however it was unfortunate to have to go through that after a full day of traveling.

My son and I really enjoyed staying in this hotel. Lake view is the highlight and the cleanliness of our suite. Close to freeways and restaurants. Definitely we are planning to come back

Pros: - 100% clean, not a single stray hair or cleanliness issue found in the room or elsewhere in the hotel. - Light colors in the hotel room made it feel more expansive than it was. - Manager was nice and fixed my check-in issue immediately. Cons: - This was a big one for me and would prevent me from staying here again. Not a single window in the hotel room opens and it gets far too hot not to use the AC, but you also don't want the AC running all day long bc it ends up getting too cold just running constantly and it's also pretty loud. (I stayed in May for context.) Without the AC on, the air in the hotel room was thick and felt super stuffy with warm air. There is a lack of central air throughout the hotel (each room has an individual unit), so not being able to open windows was even more unhealthy than it would have been if there was at least central air. My boyfriend and I found it hard to breath if the AC was off both during the day as well as at night. Super, super unhealthy with us both having to breathe in CO2 and I can only imagine how much harder it would be to have even more people sharing a room. Additionally, there was an AC by the elevators but still no central air, so the entire hallway also felt overly warm and stuffy.

The room was newly renovated and nice, but when I booked the room, I thought I was getting a king bed with sofa bed with lake view in the description. But when I called to make sure the room was ready, they said it was a queen room and expedia hadn’t updated the room description since renovation. Tried to get me a 2 queen room with lake view, but said they were at capacity and couldn’t. We were a little cramped but made it work

Its a short ride from the airport. The staff is super friendly, the place is very clean and I loved the fact that even though the hotel had lots of people around, it was still very quiet. Perfect place to stay for a business trip!

We booked last minute as our flight got cancelled. It was already late and our kids were exhausted, we wanted a good place to just go to sleep. We got to the hotel at about 11pm and the staff checking us in was rude. We really needed a crib for our baby and he told us how they would have to look for one cause “you booked too late” and blamed me for booking through a third party was the reason I may not get a crib. We already had a rough night with the flight being cancelled after we were already on the runway, it was very rude of him to blame us for booking through a third party and late. They also told us in the morning we wouldn’t get any credit for breakfast because we booked through a third party. I have never had a hotel be so rude about this and blame us for not getting what we need for our stay. I also called down the street at another DoubleTree by Hilton to see if they had a crib and they said only housekeeping had access to cribs and it was too late, no one was on property to help and the front desk didn’t have access to the cribs. Why would a hotel do that?! There is bound to be last minute bookings, they shouldn’t have their cribs locked up and unavailable. Definitely would NOT stay here again. The cooling and heating unit was also falling off the wall and had a gas smell..

The property was very nice. It had been remodeled. The remodeling was still going on so noisy during the day. Most of the staff were nice. We asked for our room to be cleaned when we left our room on a Monday morning. Came back at 4. Room was not cleaned, but we were told it would still get cleaned. We left again and returned at 10:30pm and the room was not cleaned. Went to the front desk and the front desk person was rude, condescending and of no help. Said housekeeping was gone. We had no clean towels, coffee , glasses. He said he’d get that to us within the hour. It is late and we want to go to bed. He still continued to argue and was not accountable or helpful. We returned to our room and eventually got towels etc. he told us our room would be cleaned first thing in the morning. We left at 8 am the next morning and returned at 1 pm. The room was not cleaned. I found housekeeping and asked for the room to be cleaned, which it was when we returned at 6pm. I will be filing a complaint with Hilton about the front desk person.

Specifically the staff is impeccable. Everybody deserves a raise. Tyler, Rachel, Lynn and all the housekeepers. Whoever hired these people..A . The atmosphere inside the hotel is clean quiet cant complain. Again Tyler youre the man and all the staff thanks for making myself and my lady feel so welcomed there. Thanks

Made reservations 48 hrs in advance, got to the hotel @ 9pm ready to rest and come to find out they have over booked the place and my reservations were canceled without previous notice... couldn't find another hotel due to the time ... it was the WORST experience ever. Not reliable hotel.

The area was perfectly located for easy access to the airport and fairgrounds. Also surrounded by lots of enthnic restaurants and shopping. The beds were super cozy, clean and comfortable. The rooms were clean and spacious. The view of the lake was fantastic. The pool and hot tub were exactly what we needed after a long grueling hot day with tons of walking and shopping. Thank you for a memorable experience!

We planned a quick family trip for our daughter's birthday and wanted a centrally located place to stay from LA, the OC Fair and near the beach. What a pleasant surprise! Our hotel was tucked neatly in the high-rise section of the Santa Ana/Orange County Airport area, just off the 55 Freeway. This Hilton Doubletree branded location was a gem of a find. Check-in was quick and trouble-free; the staff was friendly and easy to approach. Best of all our suite was clean and perfect for the 3 or us. A small convenient store was just a 5-minute walk around a quaint man-made water feature with resident ducks and turtles which kept daughter captivated on evening walks. Our only negative was the daily parking fee - completely uncalled for (felt a bit like Vegas gouging) BUT, we will definitely stay again, even with the parking fees.

I stayed here for two nights and wanted to share a balanced take. The hotel is very affordable, and the location in Santa Ana works well. Parking is simple, in and out, and the room itself had a mild renovation. The carpet looked new, the bed was comfortable, and I slept well. A few things to know. The bathroom is tight and not the easiest to move around in. The property is in the middle of renovations, and some areas of the hotel have strong industrial odors that were almost overwhelming. The hotel itself was nice but felt like it lacked a bit of comfort. Room was clean and it was nice that there were plenty of plugs by the bed for phone, watch, etc. Staff was sweet. Outside of the buffet we had no idea where any amenities were and signage was poor. Room service was very nice on the phone but when the food came it was like someone entirely different took the order. We spent over $100 on one appetizer and two salads and the salad was nothing like the menu ingredients. I have food allergies so I did not trust eating it. The steak on the salad was also raw. I like rare steak but this was not that. It was improperly cooked. The kitchen closed shortly after we ordered so we couldn't contact for changes, unfortunately. The pond out front was the best because there were ducks and turtles that wanted to play with us, hah. Parking was like $24 a night, which we didn't know about until we arrived. Again, the room was nice and had what we needed but this wasn't a hotel I would want to just hang out at.

I am a hilton honors member and have stayed here several times. Its location is good for what I needed. It was average nothing fancy but convenient. I wish coffee or tea was available all day. Even in a coffee station would have been nice since the breakfast place closed at 9:30. Parking fee was expensive. I never understood why this is charged where do you think people would park? This should be fee to guests. My big pet peeve. Its nickle and diming people. As a member this makes me crazy. There is no benefit in being a member. We could here the couple in the next room over so some updating would be nice for sound proof.

Parking is too high, staff never offered the cookies, staff charged three of my cards and then stated it wasn’t their fault, lady who checked us into the hotel stated the bottled water was free in our room, but we knew she was lying.
