Hotel is right around the Oedo (E) train line, and a short walk from the JY/H line with a seven-eleven right around the corner, and multiple family marts around. Very convenient, and would totally recommend!

Pretty typical three star hotel for Tokyo. Easy access to multiple systems of transport, close to Ueno Park, Asakusa. Very friendly staff, limited English and definitely not enough laundry facilities for the number of guests. Great pajamas!

飯店位置位於新御徒町站附近，步行約3分鐘即可到達，十分方便。入住手續十分迅速，飯店工作人員十分專業，進入後也有免費綠茶可以喝，讓旅途可以放鬆一下。班次入住之房型為18平方公尺雙床房，以東京這個區位來說，一個晚上一人約1500算是十分棒的房型了，該有的基礎設施都有，但請注意備品要自己在一樓拿取喔。床十分舒適，棉被不刮腳，但空調似乎有點不太穩定，有點可惜，希望能改進。二層有製冰機，洗衣機和販賣機，唯一可惜就是洗衣機僅有2台，若能再增加一台也許可以更好，總而言之十分推薦來東京遊玩的旅客住宿。

Great hotel to stay at! Rooms and bathrooms are nice and staff is super friendly. Location is good and although it is close to the Shin-okachimachi subway station (which services the Tsukuba express and Oedo line), you need to walk a bit to get to the JR lines. There are restaurants and shopping nearby and they also offer luggage storage and delivery to next hotel. Would recommend!

The property is about 15 mins from ueno station. To get to most of the areas you will need to walk a little ways. Overall small room that just wasnt clean. Hair all over the bathroom large amount of dust on tv and other appliances.

The entire stay our toilet smelled of sewage. There were other reviews I found mentioning the same issue with other rooms. Some nights when we walked into the lobby it also smelled of sewage. Hotels in Tokyo are tiny so we were expecting this but we had much better stays in other areas with similar room size. The staff were very nice and the location was great because it was close to the train station. It was one stop to Akihabara and one stop to Asakusa on the TX line. I’m not sure that I’d stay at another ICI again especially for the price we paid.

We were surprised at the low level of sound proofing, as the people in the floor above us were very loud after hours. Staff was responsive, but think it’s a limitation of the building. Also didn’t love the location of the light switch, a complaint I never thought I would hear myself utter. Definitely a middle of the road experience.

Solo travellers beware—this hotel failed me when I needed help most. I stayed here twice (23/03/25–27/03/25 and 03/04/25–07/04/25). The first visit was fine, though staff were cold and the hotel felt transactional. No free water, only paid bottles. Small but clean rooms with a good Skytree view. The real issue came during my second stay, when I became severely ill with food poisoning the day before checkout. I could barely walk or stand and was vomiting violently. Despite seeing my condition, the two receptionists on duty—both women with ponytails and glasses—offered no help. I begged for medication or assistance; they refused, gesturing “no” and telling me to walk to a pharmacy or visit a hospital. I even ran outside to throw up, and still, they did nothing—not even check on me once. If not for a friend who arrived hours later with medicine, I don’t know what would’ve happened. To the manager: review CCTV from 06/04/25 at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. to see how poorly your staff responded to a guest in distress. Their indifference made an already awful experience far worse. This hotel failed in basic duty of care. If you're traveling alone, I urge you—stay elsewhere. It’s not worth the risk and your safety is paramount.

The place was not horrible, but the overall attitude, before you even arrive to the hotel, is not very welcoming; ONLY after you pay for the accommodation, you get a VERY long list of rules, what you shouldn’t do, what is not allowed to do, and way too many other rules. Many of those rules are supposed to be known to the clients, even if they don’t read it. It is common sense…! It seems to me that the hotel is trying to cover and prevent any misunderstandings… But all of this is very unwelcoming! I live in Japan, I travel all over the world. I have never seen a hotel with so many rules… you just book a cheap looking room, who wants to get and be busy reading 2 pages of rules…? It reminds me a chapter on the very good British TV program; The Hotel inspector. They had one story on a hotel that had all those rules of don’t and do… I suggest to the owner of this hotel to watch it. No refrigerator in the rooms ! Bathroom could have been cleaned better, a few hair was there…

Great spot in Ueno with super easy access to transportation (~3 min walk to train lines, 10-15 for some other ones for certain routes). Super convenient, and love being in a quieter spot than Shibuya/Shinjuku, but still being able to easy access other areas. Konbinis right around the corner is also great! Small rooms, but to be expected - you’re not staying in Tokyo to stay in your hotel room. Friendly & helpful staff - would recommend here!

We had a great time at ICI Hotel in Ueno. The hotel was great and the room bigger than expected. Clean, comfortable and nothing to complain about. The location is not very central however, it's very close to Ueno Park and Akihabara is 20 min walking distance. Count on a 30-40min trip into Shibuya.

Location is close to several train stations. A bit of a hassle getting to hotel from airport, but otherwise great for getting around Tokyo. Great area near the UENO district with lots of shopping and restaurants within a short walk from hotel. Room was very small and bed was very uncomfortable. After 3 nights on that bed, my back was in a lot of pain. All staff were very friendly and helpful when needed.

Das Hotel liegt günstig an einer U-Bahn Station im Ueno Viertel. Man kann den Park und auch Akihabara zu Fuß erreichen. Zwei Konbini sind nur 2-3 Minuten entfernt. Das Frühstück ist nicht erwähnenswert. Besser außerhalb essen. Die Ueno Einkaufsstrasse mit viel Streetfood ist recht nah. In der nahen U-Bahn Station bekommt man die Pasmo Karte, falls man die Suica Welcome Card nicht möchte. Die Betten sind ok. Es gibt einen einteiligen Pyjama. Das Hotel ist sehr sauber und auch die Zimmer werden immer sehr gut gepflegt. Bei Regen gibt es einen kostenlosen Regenschirmservice. Die Waschtrockner und der Getränkeautomat sind gut.
