We really enjoyed our stay here in the Homestead room. The king bed and 2 singles were perfect for our family and we enjoyed the history and refurbished hotel. There was a bit of noise from the best below at once point but nothing that interfered. Was great to have Dome as a dinner option connected to the hotel.

It was ok. Very expensive for the location. Check-in was a bit strange through the dome Cafe, service in the restaurant wasn't great. No coffee or tea facility in the room and both times that I tried to get a cup in the communal kitchen it had run out. A bit steep to charge $50 for a rollaway bed Also no centralised air conditioning so I couldn't turn the heating off in my room which made it unbearable to sleep in the evening

We stayed at the Farmers Home Hotel as part of a group of 10 for an early morning Liberty Balloon Ride. After arriving early and exploring the town, we received a text from Anthony that our room was ready. We initially parked in front of the hotel but were advised to move to the back, which was confusing due to unclear parking spaces allocated to the hotel. Our room, 108, was well-decorated and furnished to a high standard, as expected for the price. The bed was large and comfortable, and the ensuite was well-stocked and finished nicely. However, the extractor fan didn’t work, and we couldn’t cool the room either. The hotel’s wifi was good. The main issue was the lack of in-room coffee or tea facilities. At 3:30am when we got up for the balloon ride, we had to walk past other rooms on bare boards to get tea, and there was no coffee available at all. This could have easily disturbed other guests. There was no one to ask for help at that hour. Overall, I recommend the hotel but suggest to them adding a kettle and cups in the room. The small fridge in the room only had a bottle of water in it, so adding some milk would be easy too.

We enjoyed a couple of beautifully presented drinks at the Temperance Bar and decided to stay for something to eat. The share plates we ordered were delicious. Property is lovely - so nicely renovated. Staff were friendly. Bar food and drinks were great too. Room needs to have a bar fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. Bit odd having to go down the hall and use shared facilities for this. We also didnt seem to have control of our aircon. First night it wouldnt work. Someone popped in to have a look, got it going… then 9pm it shut itself off again…

For what you pay, the room was very small. Although aesthetically the room is lovely, its just not practical. Bathroom is super small with the in vogue no shower screen/curtain the whole floor is flooded whilst having a shower with no floor drainage. Separate toilet facilities whilst its great, you can literally watch your partner go to the bathroom due to glass door, no privacy there. No comfy seats to sit on, you have to sit on the bed. You can't make a coffee unless you get yourself dressed as you have to go into the shared kitchen area, although I appreciate the plunger coffee. The lighting system is no easy task. Albeit lovely, its hard to explain as I know its sounds negative, would I return to the same hotel, probably not.

The room was quite small for the price, tea and coffee facilities a little odd like in a room down the hall, OK , but very retro. Very small cooler in the room, no refrigerator so to speak. I booked on line so didnt realise the room I was given had no outlook, and rooms that may have had a view were empty.

Beautifully appointed room. Bed and pillows very comfortable, bathroom facilities fantastic. I did find the lighting in the bathroom difficult for applying make up. Need something stronger around the mirror. Free movies, air-conditioning on what was a 44C day. What's not to love. We'd definitely book here again

Beautiful modern hotel , great comfortable king bed , beautiful sheets and pillows , big tv and very tasty cheese platter Nice bathroom, with aesop products. we were in the smallest room , (cottage) ok for one night but due to the lack of a window, only a skylight I would have chosen one of the bigger options. It was lovely staying in an old building that had been totally renovated to high boutiques standards,yet kept the charm of yesteryear (stained glass windows, rockwork, the verandah etc) Check in was seamless, staff all helpful and polite. Ate in the Dome after 5 option and it was excellent.

We loved our stay here. The hotel has been retained beautifully and the rooms are modern and very comfortable. The service was good even though they were very short staffed. Abigail was wonderful as receptionist, bar tender and host for our balloon flight. The temperance bar was great for some drinks and dinner with a live solo artist playing. Would definitely stay again - highly recommended!

On arrival to the hotel we were greeted by Rod who had sent us a message to let us know our room was ready early. He wished me a happy birthday and said our room had been upgraded and also we received a complementary bottle of sparkling wine. The room was clean modern and spacious with a balcony. The hotel is conveniently located in the centre of town. He then showed us up to our room and toled us about the facilities of the hotel.

It was a fantastic stay right from the very start, Rod the manager, contacted us to let us know that our rooms were ready early prior to the check in time, it was perfect as we were just rolling into town. Cannot fault this establishment. The room was perfect very comfortable and the staff very friendly and accommodating. The Temperance bar was a highlight in our stay.

Pros: Lovely room and hotel, staff are friendly and welcoming, rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. Cons: For the price a few tweaks are really needed, the fridge was about 15cm deep and you really can’t fit anything in it(we had a baby on bottles so keeping fresh milk in the room was essential. No microwave or any tea/coffee making facilities in the room nor is there any room services available at all. Dome is below but will not bring to the room(a bit inconvenient having to get everyone ready for breakfast instead of relaxing and having it in the room. With a few small tweaks to aid convenience and relaxation and this would definitely be worth the money.
