Ohtels Gran Hotel Almeria

Estuvimos en la segunda quincena de Julio de 2023. La ubicación la verdad es que para tratarse de un hotel 4* es de las mejores que encontramos en toda Almería que estuviera cerca de la playa y de movimiento por las calles, ya que el aparcamiento por la zona es todo de zona azul y parkings. El hotel tiene un parking que sale a 15€/día pero no comunica con el hotel. Nosotros revisamos el mapa y por la zona de la playa de san Miguel (a 10/15min andando) al ser zona de playa el aparcamiento es gratuito. Nosotros como veníamos a hacer turismo y visitar por la zona dejamos el coche por allí casi todo el día aparcado y nos movimos a pie, que la verdad casi todo está en un radio de Max 20min andando, perfecto en ese sentido. Aparte, el hotel es bonito, la piscina no es muy grande pero está bien. Suele haber sitio en las tumbonas a la hora de comer sobretodo. Eso sí, varios días yo creo que ni limpiaron la piscina porque estaba sucia con hojas etc. El bar de la planta cero para la gente que coja solo alojamiento, tiene una buena opción para desayunar y económico (si lo que se busca es un café y unas tostadas) El servicio de atención es bueno, aunque en la entrada se suponía que era a partir de las 12:00 y estuvimos esperando y entramos pasadas las 14:00... La habitación esta bastante bien, pero no la limpian bien. No se si será del tipo de material de las sábanas, pero todo lleno de pelusas. La nevera estivo un día sin funcionar y tardaron un día en arreglarla.

O hotel foi recentemente renovado e apresenta instalações realmente muito novas. O café da manhã é muito muito bom e vale a pena. Únicos pontos negativos: a garagem é minúscula e nunca há vaga, além de as informações sobre elas serem confusas e também os dois elevadores do prédio não são sincronizados, o que os torna bastante ineficientes. No mais, tudo bem.

El hotel deja mucho que desear. No es claramente 4 estrellas, o lo habrá sido 30 años atrás. Es muy viejo, necesita una remodelacion. Pasillos con paredes rotas, cascadas, o falta de pintura. El wifi de la habitación o no conectaba o la señal era muy débil. La limpieza de la habitación mal, subimos a la habitación en cuanto hicimos el check in, y el piso de la habitación lleno de pelos largos, el recipiente de basura del baño no lo habian vaciado de los huéspedes anteriores. La potencia del agua del WC no era suficiente, habia que tirar el boton varias veces. Lo positivo, la ubicación del hotel, Anabel quien atiende el bar, y que tiene parking, aunque huele fatal como a cloaca

Really nice hotel, with friendly staff and nice pool area with bar

Check in was good and used parking at €15 per day but the underground car park stinks of a sewer. Had to buy air freshener for the car after 48 hours in there. Hotel is handy for the centre and we found grear olaces to eat and drink close by. Service in hotel bar was a disaster. We tried to get a drink in the bar at 2pm, no one was about so I rang the service bell. A barman appeared saying he was busy making some food and that he would come to our table and take our order. He delivered the food to the other guests table, then disappeared. Having now waited nearly 25 minutes now we left and succeeded in spending nothing at the hotel during our 48 hour stay. Regarding the hotel, it is looking dated and judging by all thr pictures of by gone movie stars who have stayed there, they are living on past memories. Finally, despite the above we had a good stay and enjoyed Almeria.

Hotel is very clean and the service provided by all the staff was exceptional.

Sehr gute Lage, freundlicher Empfang an der Rezeption, ein sehr gutes, sauberes Zimmer, hervorragendes Frühstück. Auch wenn das Haus schon etwas älter ist, machte es einen sehr gepflegten Eindruck. Der Pool wurde gerade renoviert, wahrscheinlich deshalb war der Preis fürs Zimmer für diese Qualität sehr günstig.

Was a bit sceptical after reading some reviews but we just finished our holiday after the renovations and it was great! Everything was new and clean. The breakfast was great and really appreciated having items like eggs made fresh. We liked the room and slept well - it was not loud at all. The area was very good, quite close to the beach and also the city centre! One improvement could maybe be adding some chairs onto the balcony as we didn’t have anywhere to sit but the view was lovely. Also the seasonal pool’s opening months are incorrectly displayed on Expedia which was a slight disappointment but nothing to do with the quality of hotel! Really recommend and would return :)

Det är inte fyra stjärnor. Smutsigt i badrummet, trasig inredning och wifi som inte gick att ansluta till.

Bra läge och prisvärt. Lite charmigt gammal byggnad men skulle må bra av en mindre renovering. Jag hade stort och ljust rum dock lite dammigt. Annars fin inredning med bekväm säng.

Lovely as always. Amazing view, lovely staff, fab breakfast. Let down by appalling wifi in the room.

No A/C in the room and no mosquitoes screens on the balcony/windows. Even with Windows and patio doors wide open, it was very hot and the room was full of mosquitoes. We were there for one night only, so I didn't get a chance to complain and see if this can get fixed. The staff was very friendly and helpful otherwise.

El hotel necesita una reforma de arriba abajo, el sonido de la calefacción central bastante alto, tuvimos que aparcarlo en mitad de l noche por el ruido, almohadas que eran papel de fumar, tuve que dormir con 3 almohadas!!, pedí habitación con cama de matrimonio y ni caso.

It looks like it used to be a great hotel in the golden years. A bit tired in different areas and you can see it. However despite a bit dated our room was spacious and ocean view. Clean. Staff super friendly.

Zeer vriendelijk personeel bij receptie en de schoonmaaksters erg vriendelijk en kamer netjes iedere dag. Prima kamer, airco wat minder geschikt, deze blaast vol in je gezicht (kamer 206).

Hotel vieillot. A rénover. Chambre pas bien insonorisée. Mauvaise connexion Wi-Fi. Gentillesse du personnel . Piscine petite. Pas beaucoup de chaise longue. Hotel bien situé

The property is conveniently located. The room was nice and spacious. The WiFi was terrible and very slow.

La habitación estaba bonita y el personal era amable y servicial

Een beetje vergane glorie..het hotel pakt uit met beroemde gasten die het hotel vroeger bezocht zouden hebben (oa. het Spaanse koningspaar, acteur David Carradine, Brigitte Bardot, ..) maar zo voelt het ook een beetje aan: als vergane glorie. Receptie was niet echt vriendelijk, receptionist aan de bar was dan weer wél vriendelijk, en probeerde aan mijn wensen tegemoet te komen.

What often differntiates a good hotel experience from a poor one, is the level of service provided. The Gran is not so grand. We asked to check in early and were told that it is at 2pm, we asked for a room with one bed, but were given two, we asked for a higher floor and were not given one. While these are relatively minor issues, they are symptomatic of a hotel that does not treat their customers well.

Great hotel, walkable to most activities and restaurants. Comfortable bed and stay.

Schönes neu renoviertes Hotel im Zentrum von Almería. Strand und Haupteinkaufsstraße fußläufig erreichbar.

The hotel is in a great position. Close to the port, the Rambla and the beach area. We only stayed for one night and really only slept at the hotel. They were happy to look after our luggage before we checked in. Everything was good, the staff were very friendly. Hotel is probably a little dated compared to some.
