Just a quick night away. Parking a bit of a challenge as the cars I parked between had been a bit greedy. Room spotless, bed comfy, the chocolate bar a lovely touch. Wine selection very good and food really excellent. Staff helpful-we couldn’t get our TV to work. It was promptly fixed

Lovely hotel with friendly staff. The only two negatives are that the car park has limited parking and the spaces are quite tight - just be aware if you have a larger vehicle. The staff were great and the location is lovely.

Very good hotel with plenty of parking. No aircon unfortunately and we stayed during the very hot weather which made the room very very warm. But there was a fan provided which helped.

Lovely spot to stay in, we stayed when it was hot but the room was armed with fans! There’s also a night porter to let you in after hours so it feels safe.

Very nice hotel/pub to stay in with onsite parking. A very good choice for breakfast with good quality food Comfortable bed, good working shower and nice quality bathroom products. Quiet place to stay. WiFi not the best as it’s corporate and they want lots of your data!

Great hotel room spotless lots of hot water for show parking at the rear , breakfast hot food was great it did say there would be pastries , muffins and fresh fruit - no pastries or muffins and fresh fruit was and apple or pear !!

All good for what we paid. The only negative that stood out was that most of the upholstery on the seats in the bar and restaurant could go with upholstery cleaner. Staff were fine and breakfast was good. Good location in town

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel very much. As usual i found the mattress on the bed too hard and the duvet too heavy and hot. I always carry my own pillows and a spare throw so I was able to lay on the top on the duvet doubled over with my throw over the top which solved both problems. As this is the start of a season, might I suggest the sills between the secondary sliding windows and the opening windows be cleaned. It would give a better impression. The restaurant food was delicious and the staff in the bar/restaurant very good. All in all a 4 star stay and good value.

Smooth check in. Room reasonable with good quality toiletries. Let down by large cobwebs on beams and insufficient heating. Despite turning the radiator up to its highest setting, it only reached luke warm. Good choice at breakfast, but poor coffee and slow and haphazard service.

Room 28 overlooks the back and I was woken up at 6.30 with deliveries and loud talking. Room smelt very musty and I had to air it when I checked in. The booking wasn’t expensive but the place is beginning to look run down. Staff seemed helpful.

Love the Abbey Field! This was our fourth stay here and we absolutely love it. Rooms are comfortable, clean and have all the basic amenities you would need. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Had a lovely weekend away in Kenilworth ~ thank you! Abbey Field is also in an excellent central location, with a beautiful short walk (through the park) to the station and to all the local shops and pubs. Would definitely recommend, we don't drive so it's a perfect location for us.

The hotel was part of a pub on the main high street and as it was around 6pm the pub was busy, so there was nobody on duty at the reception desk, which was problematic when I was trying to find out where to park off the restricted high street. Eventually, I found some lovely staff to direct us to the hotel car park and check us in. The rooms were basic yet comfortable and the bed was comfy with nice soft sheets. Unfortunately, the room was very hot during the night which hampered our sleep and it was over the dining room so we could hear the music playing from around 07:50. The shower wasn’t very good either and it was dangerously slippery in the bath. Although there were a couple of negatives, it wasn’t a bad stay and we’d recommend the restaurant as the food was lovely for dinner and breakfast. The staff were also very friendly and helpful.

Good value place to stay. We had a room at the front which gets noise from the pub opposite, and you need to compromise between having the curtains open to allow air to circulate, and the light coming in from the facade lights. A first world problem really

Great spot. Lovely room and the food in the restaurant/pub was delicious. Service was wonderful too. Only fault was the poor ventilation in the bathroom which made the room really very humid after showers.

The Staff here are wonderful, Ryan was particularly lovely and friendly. The restaurant is good food, if a little on the pricier side. The room I stayed in was a little tired, but my main gripe was there was no way to secure the door properly from the inside of the room. The standard latch still allows a 10cm gap to open the door and this made for a light sleep!

HORRIFIC STAY! Lovely area, pub nice, basic family room but as expected for price, clean and comfortable. Unfortunately the hotel thought it was OK to put a family with a young son in a room directly next door to the neighbouring pubs HUGE beer garden!!! On a Friday night!! A full beer garden of people literally shouting and screaming directly outside our window until nearly 12pm!!! We couldn’t believe it!!! Disgraceful and entirely unacceptable. Nightmare with a child, took so long to settle him. Fuming and disappointed. Expecting some sort of compensation upon complaint. Do not stay in room 1!!

The parking isn’t clearly mark and is very small on the two nights we stayed we couldnt get parked in the hotel parking. We phoned four times to ask for directions to the parking and did not get an answer (we found it using Google maps photos). We waited for 10 minutes at reception to get our keys. Rooms are clean but dated bathroom very small but practical. However was woken a few times with drains gurgling. And could also hear the people in the next room clearly having conversations. I wouldn’t stay again

Staff a little inexperienced and robotic. No chef at breakfast, so a reduced menu. Food mediocre, badly cooked. This area needs serious attention. Only 1 out of 10 specials available at dinner. Annex room #32 suitable for guests with a disability, bathroom enormous but very spartan, some guests might object, but we were only there for 1 night. Hotel should provide a refund for not providing a cooked breakfast option. A sausage on dry bread doesn't cut it! No milk in room. T. Austin

Hotel and rooms very nice clean and comfortable. Had no remote for tv but was quickly sorted. Food nice but service not the best it came cold then took nearly 45 mins to come back and it wasn’t even busy.

It used to be the perfect place to stay in the region, but I see it starts to lose its service level. Waiting for osomeone to come to the reception for 20 minutes and it took another 20 mins to check us in...and we are regularly going there for business.

Abbey Field is also in an excellent central location, with a beautiful short walk (through the park) to the station and to all the local shops and pubs. Would definitely recommend, we don't drive so it's a perfect location for us.

Good value place to stay. We had a room at the front which gets noise from the pub opposite, and you need to compromise between having the curtains open to allow air to circulate, and the light coming in from the facade lights. A first world problem really

We were blown away by the charm and character of the hotel which is in the beautiful Kenilworth “ Old Town “.our room was comfortable and well equipped , tea , coffe , biscuits and a vice little bar of chocolate . Ample parking and a great choice of food . The restaurant is atmospheric and well laid out . Friendly , helpful staff who were personable and efficient .

Part of the building date form the 16th century. The staff were welcoming with a good choice in the restaurant and the food was good. As I was staying one night I deliberately booked a small room. It still had everything I needed and was comfortable. Great area for an evening walk as there is a park within a few minutes walk. A Good hotel

HORRIFIC STAY! Lovely area, pub nice, basic family room but as expected for price, clean and comfortable. Unfortunately the hotel thought it was OK to put a family with a young son in a room directly next door to the neighbouring pubs HUGE beer garden!!! On a Friday night!! A full beer garden of people literally shouting and screaming directly outside our window until nearly 12pm!!! We couldn’t believe it!!! Disgraceful and entirely unacceptable. Nightmare with a child, took so long to settle him. Fuming and disappointed. Expecting some sort of compensation upon complaint. Do not stay in room 1!!

The staff were great, the room was tiny and tropical way too hot to sleep even though the weather hasn’t been that warm. The in room tea & coffee were scant, one cup each and one packet of biscuits to share. The worst part was the breakfast, very very cheap ingredients very poorly cooked or cremated would be more accurate. Again the staff were great despite everything.

Continental breakfast not good. Pastries less croissants arrived 45 minutes late. Tea made with lukewarm water. Coffee out without a warm plate. Shower difficult to adjust as fitted too close to the wall. Stairs difficult in places. Used this hotel previously several times before without problem. What's gone wrong?

Staff a little inexperienced and robotic. No chef at breakfast, so a reduced menu. Food mediocre, badly cooked. This area needs serious attention. Only 1 out of 10 specials available at dinner. Annex room #32 suitable for guests with a disability, bathroom enormous but very spartan, some guests might object, but we were only there for 1 night. Hotel should provide a refund for not providing a cooked breakfast option. A sausage on dry bread doesn't cut it! No milk in room. T. Austin

Breakfast is not what it used to be. Once upon a time, the breakfast option was an incentive to getting a room here. Since the location became part of the Green King chain the standard has slipped to normal hotel fare.
