Tru By Hilton Manteca, Ca

This hotel is just basic. Don't expect much on the way of amenities. There is a shuffle board, patio and a 24 hour coffee bar. The rooms are very basic. No real closets with doors and no dressers. It's a room with a bed, TV and a bathroom. The only thing that made it pleasant was the workers. Olivia greeted us warmly and made us feel at home. The breakfast was good also. Anything we needed, they accommodated us the best they could with the little resources they had. I don't think I'll be staying here again because of no pool, but I will miss the staff.

Not enough parking for number of rooms and so many “compact” spaces. Have Audi coupe… passenger had to exit car before parking in compact space or wouldn’t have been able to get out of car. There 2 nights for a wedding. At 11 pm there were no parking spaces available either night.

When I walked in, the staff greeted me. It smelled sooooo good as well when I walked in. I was able to go to the gym and work out. Sit in the lobby and chill. I would stay here again, and my stay isn’t over yet.

There were lots of options for breakfast and the food was good. There was not enough parking and we had to park on the street next to an apartment building.

Rather new hotel. Exercise room was good and had a Peloton bike. Breakfast was good with variety. Very clean.

Was pleasantly surprised with Tru. We've stayed at the Best Western nearby which is okay but nowhere near as modern and clean as this hotel. It's simple without a lot of frills but the breakfast is a nice addition and the fitness center is pretty good. Will definitely stay here again when we come to visit family nearby.

I understand the "green" philosophy of TRU by Hilton. However, there is lots of room for improvement. Trash cans are tiny. Our room was tiny with a king bed crammed into it. One bedside table was normal. The other was a useless small round thing, inconvenient for the use of my portable c-pap. The decor is a cross between a preschool and teenage boys room, or a young boys dorm. Very strong masculine bent to the entire decor except one small sitting area on the way out the door - none of which our senior citizen bodies would have been comfortable in. There was trash in the tiny flower beds out front and lots of spills on the skinny entry sidewalks. Super bad first impression. The halls indoors were dirty, especially in the elevator area. We were given an early check-in which was a God-send! The staff were very cheerful people. I just think that Hilton can hire more folks to keep up the cleanliness. Our room, though very tiny with ridiculous decor, was very clean. For that we are grateful. The house keeper does a great job. I am just hoping that there is more than one housekeeper on staff as it would be terrible to think that all the cleaning is up to one person - but would explain why the outside and the halls were dirty. We will plan ahead next time and select a hotel known for comfort and cleanliness. Just not sure what Hilton is thinking. A place for skinny and rich healthy young people?

Good check-in, friendly staff. Room was odorous of urine, possibly pet related. We had no pets with us.

There were some folks that may be homeless at the property/hotel next door and they were wandering around. I made sure to keep valuables out of my car. There was some freeway noise but mostly like a white noise so not too bad - may have been quieter on the other side of the hotel. Clean shower, clean floors - MUCH appreciated. Staff was nice and acknowledged us with smiles and hellos. We had a late check in and staff was friendly and available!

The play area was cool but needs better cleaning in the room. The shower had hairs on the shower wall and bathroom could have been cleaned much better.

What a great property. Contemporary design, so clean and staff is very friendly. Room is small but has everything needed. Will definitely stay at Tru by Hilton wherever we go.

Room was very clean. Good value. Cons: The warm breakfast items did not taste very good. The potatoes didn’t seem like they were cooked very well. The trash in the breakfast area wasn’t emptied both days we were there during breakfast hours so we had to stuff items so they would fit. The room we stayed in was very small with no closet.

We had a room at the end next to the freeway. The noise from the cars was disturbing at night.

It has recently been remodeled, so everything is new and clean. The bed was very hard, and they don’t have a microwave or coffee maker in the room. You have to go to the lobby for nearly everything. The look of the rooms is “Spartan.” All of the disabled access rooms are right up against the freeway, so it was not quiet.

This is a new and very modern hotel. I was pleasantly surprised to find a Hilton hotel at such a competitive price. I would call it luxury at an affordable price. The room was fairly small, the king bed was quite comfortable. There was no coffee maker or microwave in our room, but there was free coffee and hot water in the lobby 24 hrs a day. The free breakfast was well done.

This hotel sits immediate next to a heavily used freeway. The walls are thin as are the windows. We were unable to sleep. Roaring trucks and cars all night long. We will never be back.

LOVED the newness and cleanliness of both the hotel itself and the room I occupied😍. Staff, too, was exceptional. However, no closet, and 😱NO COFFEE IN THE ROOM made it inconvenient and unforgivable😭 But, in spite of my preceding comments, I’d stay there again !!

Everything was great. The rooms were a bit tight so I wouldn’t recommend if traveling with a family. The staff was excellent overall it was a nice hotel.

We stayed at this hotel for my daughter’s softball tournament. I had to rinse her pants out, the guy at the front desk was so kind and offered to put them in the dryer for me. I was so thankful! My daughter was too that she didn’t have to wear wet pants the next day. To me that was above and beyond helpful. If we return to this area for another tournament, we will definitely be staying here. So clean, bright, and smelled good!

We stay here while in town for baseball tournaments. Been there ~10 times. Always clean, staff is always friendly and helpful.

When I checked in and went to my room it had my daughters name on the tv screen is when I realized we were checked into the wrong room I called front desk and was told we could stay in the room since it was the same type but I wouldn’t be charged for both since we had different rates. When checking out in the morning both rooms were charged to my card which we luckily caught and was refunded. From the beginning i should have been checked in correctly since I have to present my drivers license and credit card that should be enough for verifying the customer. This was stressful and upsetting after coming to check in in the evening tired I didn’t want this stress. I feel I should be compensated for this inconvenience

Friendly Staff and smooth check-in! We were offered Early ck-in that was helpful to get to 3pm Event.

The only thing I can say nice about the hotel is it was clean.. The service was terrible when trying to check into our room, Nobody at the front desk we were had to wait 10-15 minutes to get service. After checking in, we went down and asked asked Olivia at the front desk, for towels. Gave her a tip for advanced service. Come back to our room, no towels. The room was small. The bathroom was large, which was nice, but Service was horrible. That night when we got back to our room the guy at the front desk got us towels. He was very accommodating. would not recommend this hotel to anybody.

I did not get the room i payed for and the lady at the front desk was extremely rude and not interested in fixing their mistake. instead she said i had to pay for a complete seperate room on my own

When I arrived for check in there was nobody in there to check me in the front desk and I waited 40 minutes for her to show up and she didn’t even say sorry and she was so rude and I and 5 other guests just surprised for her behavior and I never reserve this hotel

We selected this property as it was very convenient for our purpose (doctor's appointments). We also ended up going shopping across the way, ordering food and getting gas all in the same neighborhood! Excellent location for our needs.

The hotel itself was nice but the area it’s in isn’t the best in Manteca. I grew up here and that’s one of the worst places in Manteca .

They refused to give me room service unless I was staying there for 4 days or more. No water provided at the free breakfast. Just juice and coffee. I was told a water bottle fountain was down the hall. Random loud noise in my room, 424. It woke me up in the middle of the night twice. I couldn't tell what it was or what caused it. Pros: The hotel seems to be recently renovated so it was very clean and modern.

We stayed 2 nights and everything was great. Staff were very nice and helpful. Very clean, quiet, safe. Lots of restaurant choices nearby. Had all the necessary room amenities. Free breakfast was good. Loved the automatic pancake maker! We'll stay here again the next time we're in town.

It was overall a good stay. The breakfast at the Tru is a step above the run of the mill hotel. Rooms are comfy and clean.

Good hotel overall, but the breakfast was far from excellent. The eggs were almost inedible as well as the sausage. The staff was very helpful and the room was quite clean.
