Valet parking was absolutely terrible. $48 tax. The 2 times I got my car during my stay were waits over 35 mins one over 40 mins. I understand 15 mins but come on over 35 mins.

We almost canceled due to some other reviews but glad we didn't. The hotel is an older, historic hotel with a beautiful lobby. Our room was comfortable, spacious and well appointed. Staff was very welcoming and friendly. Parking is available cheaper in parking garage that is very easily walkable a block behind the hotel, rather than using the valet service. Will definitely be staying again.

Not a bad option overall for staying in downtown area. Reception staff very friendly and accommodating! Hotel bar area is very nice, lobby overall has a nice look to it. Rooms could be updated to match the look of the lobby. Parking garage is not connected to hotel but only a block away.

The hotel was in a great location. We were able to walk to several places. The mandatory $50/day for valet parking was frustrating especially when there was an order of marijuana left in our car when it was brought to us. Our hotel room had a dirty towel left hanging on the back of the bathroom door, a puddle of water on the bathroom floor and quite a bit a hair on the bathroom floor.

Room wasn’t the cleanest. Coffee had overflowed onto dresser and wasn’t cleaned up. Scotch tape on the walls where someone had hung something up. Baseboards in bathroom were full of dust/dirt. The buffet breakfast was cold and they were out of bacon. $55 a night for valet parking is a little excessive.

Door bolt didn’t work and we were trapped inside the room. The room was small and extremely dirty. There were stains all over the walls, carpet, desk chair and the shower walls were grimy. The sheets were covered in hair. The staff was so friendly but overall the hotel is rundown and unclean. I felt very uncomfortable staying there. It’s absolutely not worth the price.

The hotel was very accommodating to my family since we arrived well before check-in and put our names on a waitlist to get a room as soon as it was available. We waited about 3 hours and checked back and one was available. Upon entry the room was adequate for our 1 night stay but as we looked closely, you could tell that housekeeping does not so thorough cleaning of the room. There were bobbin pins on the floor in the seating area and in corners of the room, raisins and pills on the floor on the sides of the bed, and a empty pack of crackers and empty bottle of water including crumbs from the crackers, on the window sill of the window on the sleeping area. There was also hair in the bathtub. The beds were clean and bedding wasn’t stained and appeared and felt laundered. The location to Americas Center was prime and what we were striving for. The front desk and valet workers provided some of the best customer service around. A bit more attention to the housekeeping details would have gotten a 5 rating from me.

Hair on bed and in bathroom. Mirrors windows dirty. Blood stains on 2 pillow cases. When i went to ask to get new ones i was met with annoyance. Lobby smelled terrible. Over proced. Outdated. People in there were sketchy. Doors from outside into hotel were never lockdd as they should have been. Leaks in faucets. Paper thin walls you vould hear a tv down the hall. No fans and none available. AC didnt work well. HVAC system outdated. Elevators were dirty old and made strange sounds. Avoided them even though i was on the 17th floor. Front desk clerk unfriendly and didnt even speak to me when i brought up concerns although i was very friendly about it. Bar and food at hotel massively overpriced. Wont go there again.

Our room smelled like pee. There were crumbs on the desk when we arrived. I would expect a hotel in the Marriott family to be kept up better than that. I liked the location since it was close to Busch stadium.

Bummed because paid a decent amount of money for one night in St. Louis with my boyfriend and the conditions were not as we expected. Upon check in, we were told the room would be ready in about 10 minutes even though we checked in an hour after we could have. I thought this was peculiar, but to make matters more unsatisfactory we ended up waiting 30 minutes until I approached the desk and inquired about the room. I was given a room immediately by a different staff member who was very kind. Upon entering the room, it reeked of stale cigarettes. The couch was littered with appearing unused q tips from a previous guest I am assuming. There was also a q tip on the floor in the bathroom. The bed was extremely comfortable and relaxing, however, there was no fitted sheet on the bed and whatever contraption was acting as a mattress pad did not stay on the bed and was not on properly upon examination. The televisions also were super glitchy and did not allow for much watching of TV as they lagged badly and hardly worked.

Overall great experience at the hotel and its proximity to all of the locations I attended downtown was great. The downside is the lack of a microwave in the hotel room; I understand this may be due to having a restaurant on site, however some people have meals they have to bring with them due to dietary restrictions. Lastly, the carpet and bathtub/shower contained hair therefore I considered the room not to the best standard. Otherwise, the stay was great and the staff was timely and kind with their service. Would recommend and visit again.

Rooms are priced too high for the condition of the property. Room had not been dusted in some time and just felt unclean overall. The elevators are slow, and the walls are very thin. Limited dining options. The front desk and valet staff were very friendly, but we probably won’t stay here again.

In a nice enough area as long as you don’t stray too far in any one direction. The room is nice but there was candy wrappers under the night stand and 1 bottle of water not 2. No coffee in the room either, no pen for the breakfast menu either. Lol

Beautifully redone hotel in downtown St. Louis. The hotel is gorgeous with lots of old character and charm. My spouse and I were in town for one night for a concert. Unfortunately, the air conditioning in the entire hotel went out during our stay on an 85 plus degree day. The front desk offered a box fan, but unfortunately our room stayed a humid 76 degrees for the duration of our stay. Upon checkout I inquired about some sort of rate reduction and was told I should receive a call back from the manager of the hotel. After 48 hours of no contact I reached out myself, only to be informed that I would need to create a Bonvoy account, call back with the number, and I MIGHT be granted some points. I understand that this is an older hotel, and mechanical issues do occur. However, the lack of follow thru or communication from the hotel has been disappointing.

While the two bed suite was spacious and well-appointed, it wasn’t quite as clean and I would expect. There were hairs that were not ours on the floor and towels. The air conditioning was not working and the room was quite warm and humid which made relaxing and sleeping uncomfortable. The hotel staff were fantastic. When I inquired about the AC, they said it was being worked on but offered to bring us a fan. The fan was helpful. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Busch Stadium was less than 10 minutes away too, which was perfect.

Very convenient to walk to Busch Stadium for a game. But terrible set up for valet, street jammed up and no room to pull out of the way, long wait. Lobby very small and loud (echos). Extremely small room, according to fire escape map, ours was about 1/2 the size of all other rooms on the floor. No bathroom counterspace, small 3x3 shwr with mold in grout. only enough room in the elevator for 1 family of 4. Retrieving vehicle next morning was a long wait as they couldn't find my car. But for the purpose we needed which was a bed and convenience to the ball game, it provided our "needs".

Overall the stay was terrific! Javier at the door is delightful, kind, and will assist in any way he can, he deserves a raise. Xavier at the front desk is extremely helpful. All of the staff is friendly and helpful. I really appreciated the staff at Robie’s restaurant too, they went the extra mile to ensure we had everything we needed and due to a conference they were BUSY! Their food is terrific, highly recommend. My only very small recommendation is that the grout in the bathroom could be a bit cleaner. But overall very clean and spacious hotel. It is historic and I hope the Marriott continues to invest in it.

This hotel was fabulous! We were greeted by Jesse at the front desk who helped us to find the perfect room to meet our needs. He suggested excellent places for dinner and directed us to the hotel happy hour. The hotel has just celebrated their 100th anniversary. It was a true gem!!

My room was super quiet and comfy. Check in was weird, as there was one person working and dealing with another traveler. Took a good 10 minutes to be acknowledged, even by other hotel staff. But got all checked in. Staff friendly. Would stay again.

Loved the history of the building. The location was key to enjoying downtown. A quick walk to the metro to get to the airport for only $2.50!! Can’t beat that. Short walk more to get to the arch and then to the cardinals stadium. Beautiful stadium, great time!!

The hotel is a nice hotel. Old bones but updated nicely. Self parking a block away, was told it was $20 for the night turned out to be $37, that was frustrating but not a deal breaker. Walking distance to Busch Stadium.

Great little gem in the heart of downtown! America Center is literally steps away; you can easily walk down to Ballpark Village. The staff at Magnolia were welcoming and kind; the valet service was great and it was nice to not have to worry about finding parking. The hotel is absolutely pet friendly!

Really nice hotel. Great staff. Lovely rooms. Overall had a wonderful time at this hotel. The restaurant/bar is very nice too. The old school charm is a great vibe for a downtown STL hotel. The parking situation is a bit ridiculous though - $55/night. That's NYC rates! But it was mostly a smooth experience and worry free in terms of parking and safety. We also walked to quite a few activities - the Arch, Cardinals game. Easy access from this location.

Overall stay was ok, had some issues with water temperature, water pressure, and dining. Namely it is 30 for the breakfast when you add it on here, but it's $13 per person on site, and it's only continental. There's also no shop, so getting a drink or snack meant the bar had to be open. Overall was decent, also the parking was mad expensive

The hotel says valet only, but they charge $55/night. I asked the valet if there was self parking and was told to park in the convention center/Marriott lot which was $35 for one night. The staff seemed bothered to help and wasn't very friendly. The breakfast restaurant food took forever was not seasoned, poached eggs on benedit was overcooked and the server didn't seem to care much about our water running empty. The room was small and they had quiet hours posted. The hair and body items were nice.

The reviews were a bit misleading. There wasn’t a robe like in the reviews, the amenities were minimal. One water bottle, 2 coffee pods. Room service was available but there was a delivery fee and a 25% surcharge. Our dinner was $135 but the quality of food was sub par. For breakfast, our food was cold and the tickets were expensive for the quality of food that we received. Our room was very hot and we could not cool it down. The hotel itself is beautiful but the service and amenities are not worth the price.

We thought the hotel was pretty decent, however one morning during our stay we both decided on avocado toast for breakfast and it was literally the worst avocado toast we have either had, bread was not toasted enough leaving it mushy, the avocado was a thin paste on top and the poached eggs were cooked completely through. It was close to inedible. And the service with our breakfast was also extremely lacking.
