TownePlace Suites by Marriott Corpus Christi

Our family trip was pretty smooth staying there was great . The best beds I’ve slept on in a long time !!!! Breakfast was ahhh ok I guess. The pool was nice my kids loved it . Plenty of restaurants near by and close to the beach . I would definitely book this place again

One of many older hotels in decline along SPID. The carpeting needs to be replaced throughout the property. Decent hot breakfast. Did not have time to enjoy the pool, which looked clean and inviting.

I took my 5 grand girls to the beach about 3 weeks ago. We had fun but even after applying sun block 3 were a little too sunburned to spend another day at the beach so we just played games, shopped and swam in the indoor pool. I specificly choose a hotel with a indoor pool should they get too much sun so that was good and they loved it. I wanted to go back because I didn't get enough beach time so I chose to stay Townplace with my girlfriend and her dog and 1 gandgirl. The front desk were very nice and helpful. We were pleased that the fee for the pet was less then stated on the web page. Our room was on the 4th floor and the reservation was for 4 but just 3 went. We had to ask housekeeping (they were working on our floor)for another set of towels and bedding for the pull out couch, which they were very polite and helpful. The pull out couch had a small dime size hole in the corner off a cushion so I let housekeeping know and I also let the front desk know about it so they wouldn't think we did it. Everyone was nice. The pull out bed mattress old, stained and worn out. I'm sure it was the original mattress. The room was well stocked but did not have a blow dryer. The breakfast had many choices and was yummy. The outdoor pool was closed and needed a good cleaning which was ok since we basically went to the beach, altho my grandgirl wanted to try the pool but we played yatzee instead. Overall it was a good stay and Yes we will go again. I like that checkout is 12.

1 elevator not working & no out of order sign. Housekeeping stated "it works some of the time, I (she) got stuck in it last week" Other elevator very slow. Staff was amazing, extremely friendly & accommodating

The hotel has nice and well cleaned room and the staff is very friendly, but that was all. The pool was closed, no working. The ice machine all broken I think there was only that work not sure where was. Only you can enter to the hotel at the lobby door, the rest of the entry point the card was not working, so be ready for a walk. The breakfast was very small and simple.

Overall, a really good place to stay. The rooms are a good size and there are some walkable restaurants in the area that include Saltgrass. The only negative would be that breakfast in the morning. The shredded cheese had mold and the options weren't very appetizing. Other than that, I can't complain. There is a small charge for parking nightly, which is a little inconvenient, considering the area. I would stay more often but I typically travel with a pet and the pet fees are outrageous upfront, nightly isn't bad. I was not able to check out the gym. The hallways were really warm and muggy but the room was okay.

We stayed for six nights. We never had anyone clean the room during our stay. We were told at the desk that if we wanted clean bth towels, we needed to leave our wet, dirty towels outside our door in the hallway. That night we had a bag of fresh towels hanging on our doorknob. One of the two elevators was working. One of three washing machines was working. All of the ice machines were out of order. Heavy dust was on the refrigerator, not cleaned thoroughly. The breakfast each day was fair, nothing special, but it was included. The mattresses were rather filthy and old. But it had a higher rating than the Hilton hotel behind them. I am not sure what to say, but I would expect more from a Marriott Bonvoy hotel. They need to update their facilities. I do not know how long the elevator, ice machines, washers, etc. will be out of use, but I would guess that they are not in a hurry to repair them. I give a 4-star rating, because I cannot give a 3.5 star rating. It was okay, not stellar. Not a Marriott quality. The staff (outside of the non-existent room cleaners) was very kind and helpful.

Room was clean. Stayed three days and had to have the room keys rekeyed each night we came back, go down from the 3rd floor each time. TV always had issues with its DirecTV service, it would cut out for a min or two. Breakfast was less than average , things missing each day and kept hearing the truck was coming tomorrow. Property is on frontage road so 1 way traffic. Didn’t use the pool, couldn’t use the outdoor grill, both grills a mess, food still stuck on and greasy black. Ice machine worked each evening but barely filled the ice bin. Ice machine didn’t work in AM. Two elevators but one was out of service, for a 4 floor place. Can’t park near the front door, there is handicap and the rest were always full. With all doors locked it was difficult to get things in the building. When we checked in I asked if there were any added on site fees and was told there were none, yet there is a fee of $3.87 to park in their lot. Seems they should raise their rate if they want to charge for keeping the lights on. There are signs telling you not to leave anything in you car, they are not responsible. In all this was at best below average compared to our previous night from 2 weeks on the road. I am surprised Marriot put their name on this one

I was visiting one night, loved the service, however, non handicap vehicles were parked in the handicap parking had to park far from the door after long travel from house and having to carry luggage and push a wheelchair was inconvenient. Staff stressed they couldn't do anything as they do not ask for vehicle information.

Our bathroom had mold, The bathroom door had been broke and just tapped. The tub had no plug. You couldnt get more towels. They didnt have blankets or sheets for the pull out couch bed. The pull out couch bed was hard as a rock and spring were felt.

Hotel was old and in need of remodel and upkeep. Lobby had a bad smell that reaembles urine. Breakfast was poor and not refilled efficiently. The room was dirty. Old chips under the bed and thw sheets looked dirty.

The people at the front desk were very accommodating however, the first room they put me in when I walked in I thought I was in someone else's room. The bed was unmade, there was a cup from Dennys or such in the sink, wet towels on the bathroom floor... Went back to the front desk & they gave me a different room. At first it looked clean except there was no cookware, dishes or utensils but in the morning I saw food stuck to the cabinets, found the dishes & cookware in the dishwasher with food and mold on it... That was the last straw! I canceled the rest of my stay & checked out immediately!

There was food left over in the fridge along with half empty water bottles from the previous guest. Our dogs were chasing a roach on the carpet of our room. And the sheets looked washed, but had what looked like old dirt stains.

Townplace Suites is always in my top 5 of hotel choices wherever I travel. This location was ideal for us. Everything was within 5 miles and the beach (JB Luby) was less than 20 minutes away. This hotel is showing its age but the staff was friendily and it was clean, so I have no complaints.

There was water damage all over the room and property. The curtains were water stained. I was provided towels that still had hairs on them. The staff was very friendly and helpful however.

Pool was full of sand and the room smelled like mould. I will not be back.

The room had dead roaches, the pull out bed looked dirty and smelled like cigarettes.

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful and gsve great directions for local amenities. The hotel was generally quiet and well kept. Our room was much the same however a little dated and not maintained.

The bed was comfortable, conveniently located to where we planned to visit. Good restaurants nearby as well. The sofa bed was uncomfortable for our daughter. Could feel the springs.

I feel like this hotel has the potential to be really great (with great value) or decline. Room was a little smaller than I expected. Beds were comfortable. Everything else just seemed average and okay.

We had a room with a King bed and pull out couch, the room was smaller than I expected so not much space with the couch as a bed. Also they don’t supply pillows for the pull out and only had 4 standard size pillows on the king bed. We wouldn’t have had enough pillows if we hadn’t brought our own, and I expect king size pillows on a king size bed. My fault for not paying attention, but this hotel does allow pets and the room next to us had a dog that barked a lot. When I asked to change rooms shortly after our arrival I was told they were sold out, which was odd since she asked me if 2nd floor was OK, so I can only assume there was an open room on another floor. The rest of the staff was very nice, & the pizza party every afternoon was a nice treat for guests. Overall a pleasant stay.

Everything was good only thing we didnt like was how cramped Everything is we reserved 2 rooms exactly the same and in both we had to use sofa bed but was so cramped it would hit the desk that was attached to wall and would leave almost no room to walk infront of king bed other than that everything was great staff is awesome here

The property was well kept and clean. The carpet in our room needed to be replaced.

Meganne was amazing at checking us in and just overall so friendly. Staff interaction was great. However, we found the AC in our room was either way too cold at 65-68 or kind of humid and stuffy from 70-74…couldn’t find and happy medium. Our toilet would only flush every other use and the morning of check out found a dead roach the desk. Really wanted to like this place, but we most likely will not be coming back.

Staff was friendly but we never received the extra pillows we requested. I do want to say that the employee working the breakfast area Saturday morning, did such a great job and kept everything as stocked up as possible for the number of people there.

No staff on site for check in. Actually had to find another hotel after driving into town. Had prepaid for 3 nights but due to no one working and available to check us in, had to find alternate arrangements. Still waiting on Expedia and the hotel to refund the money.

We had a pleasant stay. The rooms were clean. Braiden was so helpful and offered great customer service when we checked in. He was very patient and kind. There was an irate customer right before us who was absolutely rude to Braiden. The complaint had nothing to do with Braiden and it sounded like it was beyond his control. I do not think any customer who be allowed to treat the staff like that. Braiden handled himself SO well during it all.

The staff at this location are phenomenal! We were very pleased with the establishment and the staff. Our room surpassed our expectations. Would return!

Kitchen placement was not ideal but it worked. It was right by the door and while my husband was in and out I had to keep moving while cooking. You couldn’t stand in front of the stove without getting hit by the door if it opened. Also I’m right handed and it was right against the wall so it was a bit annoying but I will not lower points for this since everything worked and was clean.

Not enough towels 1st day, next day no clean towels available, stayed six days and never came in to clean our room. Breakfast was ok, room too small for 3 people.

We went to for a family vacation to the beach, after driving 5 hours & getting to the motel we were told we would not be able to check into our room for another hour. I was extremely upset & we were so tired. After waiting an hour I went & asked & was informed our room still wasn’t ready & we would have to wait longer. I do not feel like I should have had to wait 4 hours after check in to be able to get into my room.

Easy on off to the freeway but access still under construction. Staff was tremendous.

Friendly staff, comfortable room, only 20 mins from north padre and close to a lot of restaurants. Decent continental breakfast as well.

We love this TownePlace in Corpus. The staff is absolutely wonderful. The rooms are always clean. I will make a recommendation to the owners, let the AGM order the breakfast items. We always love your breakfast but this visit there was no bacon, no sausage, no scrambled eggs, no weekend waffles, no bottled milk and no yogurt because the order wasn't placed by corporate. We were there for 5 nights too.

Staff was friendly, nice room, but there was a dirty earplug on the bathroom floor when I first went in the room. Then breakfast wasn’t ready at open time of 7. Eggs were cold and there was no coffee out by 7:15 so I went and bought breakfast elsewhere.

The breakfast they have is a joke. The toaster didn't work. No juices to drink. One kind of cereal. There is no parking in front by office.

Our stay was very comfortable, staff was great, the only thing is that the breakfast wasn't that good and didn't have much.

We've stayed at this location 5 times since our daughter started college at TAMU-CC. Location is great. Good breakfast (eggs weren't so good this trip). Very clean and the staff is wonderful.

The room and service was absolutely amazing. My problem with my stay was the breakfast. Makes me wonder if the staff and managers have ever tasted their own food.
