The hotel is primarily a sports bar with rooms above. The bar is permanently noisy during trade hours and that suits the many happy bar patrons. The rooms are two flights of stairs up and so are quiet enough, but there is nowhere quiet to eat one of the good quality meals. The shared bathrooms worked OK because there are several self-contained mini bathrooms together so you're always likely to find a free one and everything works. But, the refresh is starting to look tired and the hot water pressure is feeble. And if the pub is busy, good luck finding a parking space.

Friendly efficient staff on checkin, with everything ready to go. Renovated rooms, shared bathroom facilities were most comfortable for a pub and worked a treat. You do need to be fit to climb the many stairs to the 3rd floor if you have big bags. Eateries and social atmosphere are brilliant. A nice place for special functions. Parking is limited onsite so be prepared to use side streets. Well worth a visit.

Generally, the accommodation was more than acceptable, it was clean, the bed was comfortable, it was good and I felt safe. When I finally got used to the 44 steps up to my room, I felt stronger in the legs and that’s a good thing. On the downside, share bathroom was challenging, but worked okay. Parking, however, left much to be desired - about 20 spots for 50 rooms??? Parking in the street was not that acceptable!

Unfortunately, our stay wasn’t great. We found several cockroaches in the room (in the fridge too) and bathroom, which made us uncomfortable. The hand soap bottle was empty, and there was a noticeable smell of smoke in both the hallway and our room. We knew there would be karaoke at the pub downstairs, but the noise level was quite high and made it hard to relax. We spoke with a staff member about these issues in the morning, and she said she would speak to her manager about it, but we haven’t heard anything back since. Because of this experience, we wouldn’t recommend this place.

They don't flush, the faces are hanging at the side of the toilet. Disgusting. Urine on the toilet seats. I suggested bathrooms just for women. And get some toilet brushes. I will not stay b there again

This was last minute accommodation when the area was almost solid booked. At the price point not a lot was expected and good for anyone on a budget The rooms have shared bathroom ensuites that were quite clean and had a decent facelift, although once someone has a shower the entire floor is wet to access toilets as there were no floor mats. Bed was comfortable enough. This establishments rooms are on the third floor, so if you have mobility issues or trouble carrying bags up stairs this isn’t the place for you. The issue we experienced here was simply zero airflow in the room. You cannot open a window at all to allow fresh air, and the room had such a strong smell that hit you when you walked in. You could not escape the strong chemical fragrance smell, and made us feel light headed and stuffy. It was like a strong sprayed on fragrance smell. So strong that even our unworn clothes from our bags had to be washed to get the smell out. We stayed for 1 night, and only due to the smell could not have stayed any longer.

Rooms OK. Shared bathrooms are good as can be expected. The bad: Window was sealed shut and room was very stuffy with stale air and stinky old wood, so if you like fresh air, avoid. Noise travels. The guy in the next room yelling on the phone until midnight, and hear every time someones door closes.

The most incredible stay at any hotel of my life. I arrived miserably but the Bar Managers Nick and Lachlan and Oscar took very good care of me, had me laughing and smiling within minutes. Absolutely wonderful location! I even got locked out at midnight and called the number for help, Lachlan the Manager was there within a minute. Very helpful, wonderful time and highly recommend to anyone and everyone

The meal prices are very reasonable, $21 for Italian sausage, mash & veges! A pint of xpa $9.60, pretty happy with that! I stayed here because it was a $30 taxi to the airport. The room was great, maybe do with a chair to sit on, but no complaints! I'd definitely stay here again!

It's very easy to access by public transport from the city and the airport, the room is basic but well-appointed, and the staff are corteous and helpful. The pub's restaurant is very good and it's just a 10-minute walk from the town's centre.
