We chose this hotel as it was close to the ferry terminal but not within Calais itself. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was really nice. Reminded us of a ships cabin. Large enough with everything we’d need for a short stay. King bed was comfortable, ensuite even had a bath. Safe and easy parking right outside, and only a short walk to Cite d’Europe shopping centre.

We were very happy with the stay, the location is convenient, a lot of restaurants nearby and few minutes walk to a shopping centre. The room is spacious, clean and the staff are nice and friendly. A lot of polices around the hotel makes it very safe and confident to park our car in the car park.

Stayed here for the convenience for the tunnel first thing in the morning. Handy having the mall for dinner and somewhere to stretch your legs. The staff were friendly and check in was quick and easy. The room itself very dated and lots of stains. We were travelling with our pet rabbit so needed a pet friendly room and air conditioning. For this reason the room did smell like wet dog. The air con helped cover it. The carpet, seats, lamp etc all were covered in stains. The bathroom feels like a bathroom on a boat. Nothing wrong with that though. Just different and a little quirky. Few hairs found and even a chunk of food I think bread on the floor. Definitely wouldn’t say this hotel is 4 star

The room was clean but the linen in the bedroom was not clean and smelt like it had not been changed or washed properly. Fruit salad in breakfast bar was off. Shame as otherwise location wise it's perfect.

Definiteley not 4* hotel. Good for late night sleep before taking le shuttle or ferry. Not the cleanest and not smell the best overall, but can’t expect too much from B&B hotel.. Slept in Executive Suite which has robes, complimentary soft drinks and snacks in fridge, coffee machine and kettle (kettle defo needs good clean- I wouldn’t use it). I don’t think I’d stay again.

After a long days drive from Switzerland what a fabulous welcoming hotel. Clean, fresh & so comfortable. This was a pleasant surprise it was 5 star compared to the overnight stay we had in Lucerne. I would highly recommend this hotel without a shadow of doubt . Thank you

An extremely well equipped large room for a family of four including two teenager's not little ones! Lots of space, everything you could possibly want for an overnight stay enroute. A lovely meal in hotel next door at a reasonable price. Staff were friendly and very understanding of my dodgy school french! Only downside was a very feeble fridge which really didn't get cold but hardly a bother in the grand scheme of things. Will definitely use the hitel xhain again.

This is next to the B&B 2 & 3 in an area around the shopping centre which is walkable. Hotel staff were very friendly but we booked a family room and the electrics didn’t work which meant we couldn’t get into our room. Once the electrics had been reset by reception staff, our safe and air conditioning didn’t work. With 4 of us in the room, it was far too hot.

Previously we sayed next door in 3 Etoiles, which turned out to be better than this 4 etoiles. Although the bathroom was an upgrade, that was the only upside. We booked a 2 bed room, however the second single bed resembled a put u-up and wasn't even made up. The room was cold, the heating controls weren't working or able to be controlled and although the Hotel was quiet, you could hear every car that drove past as we were adjacent to the road. We stayed twice in recent times in B&B etoile 3 and much preferred the ambiance an quietness. Both have access to a very large car park and both are positioned close to vaious restaurants and shops within walking distance.

We were very very pleased with what we arrived in on Saturday evening. It was surprisingly but very much appreciated spacious room for three. We also found very handy the fact it had a separate toilet from the bathroom. Obviously the room was perfectly clean and tidy (when we areived not so much after we left:-) and there were nice coffee machine too (not a sack with an instant coffee but a good coffee cups). Furthermore, the staff at the reception spoke fluently English and were very pleasant, helpful and conidering the time we arrived, close to midnight, also full of jokes. Overall, very pleased and will book the same next year again. Can hihhly recommend

Poor Customer service Rude reception staff Pillows ans mattress are hard When i spoke to lady at reception , very dismissive Asked for a extra duvet and towel said they dont have one in whole hotel Disappointing considering they are rated as 4 star and i paid £190 for a room

Not close to town or train terminal, but there are free buses—very confusing. Carpet in general areas is dated and dirty but the room was clean and beds very comfortable. Food in restaurant next (hotel connected) was really awful—go to the mall.

This hotel, in which I have stayed many times in the past has gone completely downhill. When we arrived (We booked 2 suites for myself and partner and my brother and sister in law. The card/keys we were given did not work on either door, so I had to go back to reception to get a replacement, this also did not work so I had to go back a third time before this problem was sorted out. There was an empty mini bar in both rooms which I reported. Some half hour later the intended contents were brought to both our rooms on trays. The floor in my room was soaking wet and there were just 2 coffee pods available in the on site machine. The television in my Brother in law's room did not work and would not turn on. I again went to reception whereupon the reception person came to his room, took out the batteries and fiddled with them, returning them to the remote, whereupon the television started working. we went out for the day and returned quite late. My brother in law tried to turn on the TV which again did not work, we just gave up asking and he spent the rest of the evening with no television at all. My brother in law tried to use the coffee machine which swallowed the pod and spewed plain water onto the floor. The breakfast was awful, no more sausages, fried eggs, etc., which we enjoyed before, just overcooked inedible fatty bacon and rubbery scrambled eggs, we left hungry. The following day we refused breakfast and went out to eat. This was a ''treat'' for my birthday. DISGUSTING

Hotellet er fint og værelset rummeligt. Aircon virkede dog ikke, men vi fik to ventilatorer op på værelset. Det var anden gang vi havde en overnatning på hotellet, i forbindelse med vi skulle krydse kanalen med Le Shuttle. Morgenmaden første gang var til den kedelige side, men denne gang var der et mindre og mere trist udvalg end første gang.
