DoubleTree by Hilton Corpus Christi Beachfront

I have stayed here multiple times. The beach is rocky but it’s nice to be next to the beach and see and feel the breeze. The rooms are spacious. The bathroom was large and a shower walk-in. The restaurant on site is good they have a Starbucks on property. The breakfast is Buffett style and around $10 but it really is everything u want and more from bacon, sausage, ham, yogurt, fruit, cereal. The pans were always full. The cookies they give u in check in are amazing. It is close to the battleship and the aquarium but u have to cross the bridge for the others resturaunts, which is getting a little hard with all the construction. Having said that remember if u want clear water and sandy beaches—- this might not be for u. And check in is at 4 pm, like most hotels, if u ask they will try to find u an earlier check in but unfortunately for me on the 2 occasions I’ve been there they were unable😔 and for some reason both times I’ve noticed the locks on the sliding doors are broken. They have done upgrades but not to the sliding doors. The pool area is nice if not small but they make up for it with a lot of seating and a nice bar. The drinks were good. At one point there was not seating and the pool was full of kids. The beach is nice to sit on but the water around the hotel is too strong to really have kids play in safely. No oil or tar on this trip but there were jellyfish. parking is not free around $11

Loved that you could walk out immediately to a clean beach. Plus the shower amenity to wash off the sand before coming back in or entering the pool is nice. The parking lot is kind of difficult to get in and out because of beach goers and one of the staff members was very rude.

Over all we will stay here again! Some of the front desk are lovely people and some just didn’t want to be there! We did have a mixup where we communicated with the front desk when booking about splitting payments, etc. but it worked out in the end! Love the views. Pool is not heated but would be nice for the off season! There were no towels available at the pool so that was not fun so bring your own towels! Over all though, we would stay again!

Overall it was a decent place. The pool/bar area was a vibe! The restaurant had live music which was cool! We had a bug in our room but it wasn’t infested that’s why we gave cleanliness a 3. It was right on the beach like we wanted I wish we would’ve paid the extra for a higher floor we had fl 4 which has a roof right outside our balcony

Rooms were very clean. Front desk staff was helpful on getting around, especially with the new bridge. The only thing that was questionable was the cost of liquor at the pool. 2 shots were $26. That that was a bit excessive.

Don’t bother trying to park here. 12.50 for overnight parking at the threat of being towed away, and it doesn’t even ensure you get a space. Park at any of the other close by lots for 5.00 a day. And the breakfast that looks like all other hotels free included breakfast, well it is not. It’s only until you have made your way through the stale bread and cold dry omelette that they come and give you a bill for 18.00 a person. Children included. Lots of people with the look of shock on their faces. No signs or prices to be seen. Maybe in the microscopic fine print. Just re-enforced my desire to stay at a Vrbo. Paris Hilton has enough money!

The property was under construction which started bright and early. The balcony above ours was leaking water on ours. The ac does not go below 70. One elevator smelled like death. The beach can’t be seen from the pool. The beach was full of oil and seaweed. The only plus side was the food and the service. The service at the hotel restaurant was phenomenal!

Other than one of the guest elevators being out of service, this is a great hotel. Conveniently located to the water, the USS Lexington, Bank of America Center, art museum and Aquarium.

This hotel is very nice and up to date. Restaurant inside hotel with great food. Nice indoor and outdoor bar. Very nice clean pool. Right on the beach. Rooms are very nice and clean. The best rooms for view are beachside with balconies! Black Beard and Pier 99 are great restaurants in walking distance with live music. Nice hangout bar also in walking distance. Free fishing, jet ski rentals, canopy and chair rentals on beach. All affordable! The Uss Lexington ship museum is right out the beach side doors. The Texas Aquarium and Art museum are walking distance. Several beach shops within walking distance as well. Surprisingly not over crowded! Very nice vacation spot for anyone! Will be back! P.S. check in is at 4pm but typically you can go at 2pm and check in early for free as long as your room is ready. If not you can keep yourself busy at the beach and shops! ;)

That said, we paid extra for a larger room with a beach view and when we went to check in the room we booked was not available. There was also mold on the ceiling over the beds and in the bathroom. Looked like the lobby was nice but the rooms need maintenance. The hall was super hot and the service for dinner was slow. The food in the restaurant was really good though. They also charge for parking daily.

Staff was nice and friendly. The room smelled very funky.The rooms were not cleaned in our 2 days stay .

Great view and room was nice and clean.

Not in the best shape. First night there I had to kill a roach crawling on the bed. Management offered me to move to another room but didn’t think it would make any difference. Slept with the nights on. On the bright side, management comped my breakfast the following morning. I was looking forward to checking out the day I checked in.

Friendly staff nice location, my issues were my room was not cleaned properly, hair in the shower long and short, a sticky substance on the night stand I assume it was syrup, I know they didn't vacuum because I found another guest earpod case under the lounge chair when we did our final check before we left.

Very clean easy church in

I liked the view from the balcony. It's very close to the beach. The room could have been cleaner. Some previous guest shoved their room card holder in the A/C unit and it remained there my entire visit. The curtains were stained. The remote to the TV was missing when I checked in. The shower leaked consistently. The bed was comfortable though. It was also nice to have a mini fridge and microwave in the room. The staff was nice enough. Parking is horrible though. Paid through a 3rd party and you're competing for parking with beach goers/non-guests of the hotel. I'd probably stay again but maybe in the off season.

I read the reviews before booking with this hotel and should not have ignored the bad reviews. Everything was true. This hotel needs some serious room upgrades. Hallways and rooms have a musty odor. Woke up Friday morning with no hot water. Called the front desk and was told they had a problem with one of the pumps and were working on it. Maybe an hour or so later someone called to say the problem had been fixed and the hot water should be working shortly, and it was. Room carpet and furniture had stains. Microwave plate did not fit properly, it was too big. So, it couldn't turn and heat food evenly. Ice bucket had specks of mold inside and the coffee maker tray for the coffee pods was dirty. My husband had to clean it. Room humidity was so high that my clothes hanging in the closet were damp the next day. Linens and towels were very clean. The view from my room was great. Nice to sit out on the balcony in the evening and hear the waves. The staff was very professional and polite in the hotel and restaurant, as well as the housekeeping staff. The free cookies at the front desk the offer as a courtesy were really good. Food in the hotel restaurant was excellent. The chef cooked a great well done Porterhouse steak. The staff and their great customer service made this two-day trip tolerable. Would not stay here again unless they updated the rooms.

Top floor, corner, family, ocean view-- 704 Cant see the view unless you go out on the balcony and turn to face the ocean. Couldn't leave the curtain open when the outside automatic light came on. The little things I went for, I did not get. 1.45 hrs for dinner on Christmas but at the same time; I stayed, waited, and tipped. The best in that area. Beach acess was great. Everyone was nice. 3 (stray) cats that I hope they feed regularly.

It was hot in the room ac was cool but not cold. Beds are very uncomfortable and suoer hard. Woke up with a lower back pain. 1 working elevator. Everyone waiting for the elevator to check out.

Check in was great, when we got to our room, it smelled like cat pee all in the room. The extra lock on the door was broken and we paid for full bay room but a lot of our view was blocked by the lower level awing.

Most things were great about the hotel. Just dont get a room next to the elevator lobby... the wall are paper thin and you can here the bell of the elevator all night long. Didn't get a wink of sleep

Being able to just step out to the beach was so convenient and it wasn't crowded. Plenty to do and eat within walking distance. Loved the room. Very spacious.

paid $200 for ocean view and didn’t get that.

My only complaint is that I guess being by the bay and the humidity, the bedding and even my clothes hung up in the room all felt damp. Adding a dehumidifier as an option in the rooms might help.

I paid a premium price for an ocean front room. It was advertised with a beautiful picture of the beach and ocean from your balcony. Our room had the ocean view but you could not see the beach unless you stood on your tip toes or leaned way out from a wall. You could only see the ocean. This was a deceptive sale. I feel that I should be returned some money. The maid service was very basic trash and new towels/supplies. Three days they forgot to replenish different supplies and one day we had no service at all. The front desk got very used to seeing us for forgotten supplies. Pretty substandard cleaning service. The stay was ok but not for the price.

The hotel is very pretty unfortunately the 4th floor which is where we stayed had no air conditioning and it was so hot and humid in there. Our room didn’t have working air conditioning and it was always 76 in there l. We called front desk told them about it and they never went over to fix it. They ended up going on our second day to fix it at about 6pm but we had already spent a full day and night in a hot humid room. Definitely not worth what we payed for.

The experiance was great. The only negative was no information on hoe to place orders in the evening. Sat at ojr table for 30 minutes then finally aske one of the two people that looked like they were working. Took about 30-35 minutes to get our food. Many people at the bar drinking as priority. Many kids running and palying in the lobby as a playground as parents drank. This was a negative. Then being charged ten dollars a day to park as a guest was not great when ammenities shows parking. You pay $200 a night and to still pay for parking was a bummer. The hotel was nicely remodeled and well kept.

The front desk lady refused to check the lost and found for my son’s favorite stuffed animal that I thought he had dropped and the beach is harsh painful scratchy sand and we had to drive 20 minutes to get to a nicer one so the beachfront thing wasn’t really a selling point. Won’t be staying again

The front desk staff are excellent. I want to give kudos to Jacob,Jennifer,Rachel,Chris, Dimas, for being so friendly and helping my family stay at the coast so much fun.. We were at another hotel, 👎 which had so many things wrong with it. We wanted out as soon as possible.. your staff took us in and make us feel so welcome in nice clean comfortable room. Doubletree will now be our place to recommend to our friends and family. This is our new vacation spot. Everything was accessible to get too..the grandkids loved the pool and adults love the drinks from bar. We order several different dishes from restaurants and everything was delicious. Of course I have to mention your Famous Chocolate Chip Cookies. Awesome! Awesome, 🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪

I liked that the staff, especially Chris was so nice and accommodating. The on site restaurant was affordable and a very friendly, hardworking waitress who treated everyone like friends. Even the housekeeping staff was friendly. There are literally steps from the hotel to the bay. The hotel lights up the beach enough whereby many guests enjoy evenings and nights. The hotel is esdy walking distance to the Lexington and Aquarium. The only thing we had trouble was with a noisy family in the room next to us. It was 1:30 am and I had to call the desk and they promptly sent up security twice to quiet them down. Who lets a young child stay awake that late? Anyway, luck of the draw. We'll definitely return for another visit.

We popped into the bar on Saturday night for a pre dinner drink. Sat at the bar IN FROnT of the bar tender for 15 minutes. Not exaggerating. He helped all the people at the other end. Chatted with the couple beside us and walked away. Not so much as a I’ll be right with you. Got up and walked out

Walking distance to the USS Lexington, beach access. Staff was very kind. Got us fresh cookies. Will definitely stay again!

The staff were excellent. Jennifer and Ronald (front desk) were rock stars. They made sure we had the rooms we needed. The restaurant was great with a varied menu and the workers there were friendly and helpful. The ONLY complaint about this hotel that I can think of is that the mattresses are VERY, VERY firm. Hard. Other than that, the location was great, the people were great.

The whole weekend that we were there, we were bragging and complementing amongst each other. How great the service was at the Doubletree hotel. We were very, very impressed and very, very satisfied we felt at home we felt welcomed from the very beginning. It was just an awesome experience we are very, thrilled and happy that we stayed there for our first time and will continue to stay there in future stays. Most definitely for whatever reason as of lately we have experienced horrible customer service and restaurants and different other facilities and places that we’ve gone to so we were extremely happy to know that we were treated so very well at the Doubletree hotel and we would like to recognize Jennifer, Rachel, Bianca, and many other staff From the cleaning crew to everyone the front desk it was an awesome awesome experience and we look forward to going over there again thank you so very much to everyone at Doubletree and for also serving the best chocolate chip cookies, oatmeal, and walnuts that we have ever tasted thank you again once again thank you so much for everything oh yeah

Love the location

Definitely would stay here again because it was super convenient to many prime locations like the Museum and aquarium. The hotel also had a jet ski rental place right outside so easy activities to do as well. They had plenty of food options to at walking distance and small shops for souvenirs.

Great location

The area surrounding the hotel is severely run down, trashy rundown. The area seems to be heavy with homeless, and shady activity. It’s nice to be walking distance from the aquarium and USS Lexington, but the area is shady. The restaurants like Fajitaville are more than likely only open because of alcohol sales. The food was horrific. Blackbeards had some decent food. But there really are not that many healthy options. The staff at double tree were extremely nice and attentive . The room was decent. The pool area was small and dirty. The lobby area was extremely well kept. It seems to be connected to a motel though, and the motel does NOT look safe

Decent property but the bed could be replaced as the springs were sticking out on the left side of the mattress in Room 508. In addition, there were TV reception issues throughout the evening. The area around the hotel seems rundown; unfortunate since the USS Lexington and Aquarium are nearby. The beach is nice and the sunrise is beautiful. The best part is it is in walking distance the the aforementioned museums.

Great people with great views of the bay. USS Lexington and Texas State Aquarium walking distance.
