The pool on the property was clean and refreshing. The outside area of the property was unique, with tables, benches, and sun loungers. There are 2 entrances- which is confusing on arrival. The area feels safe, and restaurants and beach club is walkable. Nearest grocery store and bus stop is a 10-15 min walk. Our map app told us there was a bus stop one-two streets away but a bus never came. Prepare to walk. There are a lot of steps at this property, no elevator. Rooms and property were clean, air conditioning in room was nice. Despite no smoking signs, there was vaping within the building. Reception is open limited hours, which is fine, on arrival the reception was not overly friendly. My friend was injured and the young woman walked very fast, did not slow down despite my asking. The view from our room was as described, sea view and beautiful. Some loose tiles and flooring noted, tripping hazards. A cute dog was on site. Breakfast was served daily and delicious. We were heading out early for a tour, before breakfast hours, and were served croissants and juice for the road- it was a nice touch. Overall, would recommend staying and would stay again, know it is a basic experience and prepare to call a taxi if you have luggage (pulling roller suitcases on the cobblestone streets was a challenge).

The property is not what appears in the pictures, there’s no private beach, however it has a pool, breakfast, and vending machine with drinks and snacks. The staff was nice and friendly, the problem was just that the room was not what i payed for.

The hotel advertises that it has a private beach but it doesn’t. You can go to La Marinella restaurant and rent loungers there or use their beach. It’s 5 min walk. Our room didn’t come with a bathroom. It was located across the hall from us and there was another room between us. This wasn’t advertised when booking the room. The doors are very loud so I’m sure we kept waking up the other guests every time we had to go to the bathroom across the hall. Also had to bring the keys each time to lock and unlock. The AC in our room didn’t work. There is a lot of hotels in this area to choose from.

Die Unterkunft ist alt, Duschstange war locker, die Betten sehr unbequem, Federkerne der Matratze waren ohne Druck spürbar! Das Frühstück sehr minimalistisch und immer das Gleiche. Außerhalb des Frühstücks war es nicht möglich, z.b.am Pool ein Cappuccino zu bestellen. Der Pool war zur Abkühlung OK aber nicht zum Schwimmen, dafür zu klein. Würde definitiv nicht wieder kommen-schade!

The walk to downtown took about 25 minutes, which was fine with my family, but it was a little out of the way. That said, it peaceful and in a very pretty nook of a neighborhood. The property is an old convent, which is super cool, but it does require a bit of exterior maintenance. The family room was very spacious and peaceful, though. The pool was a huge bonus.

All the staff were pitiful. The photos on the hotel website do not reflect reality. There is a dog (pet) that follows staff everywhere including the breakfast area. To park your car in the hotel parking lot (10 Euros/day) you must leave the keys at reception so that the "staff" can maneuver the cars as there is not enough space. There is no sound insulation between the rooms and you hear everything that happens in the adjacent rooms even if it is a simple conversation. The bath towels are old and smelly. Note: there is a receptionist (Antonella) who is the exception to the bad staff.

Ingen luftkonditionering, ingen hjälpsam eller seriös personal, polen var iskall och smutsig, frukosten var inte heller den bästa. Rummet var hyfsat rent, fin utsikt och nära till fina restauranger.

Don't rent at this hotel. It's a complete scam. The hotel is old, run-down, expensive, has no minibar in the rooms, the air conditioning doesn't work, and the smell of sewage and mold. The staff are in a bad mood, the management is family-run, and everyone has a bad attitude. The parking garage is terrible. The bathroom has no window. The bed is old. The hotel is falling apart.

An interesting building in a lovely part of town away from the touristy areas. Hotel was spotless. Room was small but adequate. Bed comfortable but pillows not! Breakfast was ok, nothing special. Staff were friendly but not very helpful.

Porto Salvo is a quaint B&B by the water in San Angelo…about a 25 minute walk from downtown Sorrento. The building is older and the bedroom was dated, however the bathrooms have been updated. Would have been nice to get fresh towels halfway through our 4 night stay. The room did have a musty smell but was fine after we aired it out. The breakfast is a substantial continental. There are lovely restaurants, bars, and a beach club very close by.

Please get a fan for the room. Also what hotel has a separate bathroom from the room? That should be clearly advertised and get a discount on the room

This property is just fine for what we were looking for , it was hard to find the front gate as per the instructions, google maps and Expedia will direct you to their back gate car entrance which isn’t for guests. Their main gate is on the other side of the property (next street over) and says puerto salvo on it. I would suggest they include that somewhere in the description as we were kind of clueless when we showed up in the dark trying to find where to go! Only other thing was our bathroom wasn’t in our room, it was across the hall , our key was the only one that opened it and it was a great bathroom, just felt weird having to run across the hall to use it! It was not an issue but would have liked to know in advance ! Also I think we were the only room that had that scenario and also booked relatively last minute so that could have been why we got stuck with it lol The breakfast they provided was delicious , seemed like they were making lots of homemade items and everything tasted good including the coffee! The staff helped us get taxis everytime we asked so we really appreciated that! It was a bit of a walk to sorrento , but there was bunch of delicious restaurants near by and an amazing terrace to watch the sunset which we repeated with a bottle of wine 3 nights in a row! Overall happy with our stay and would recommend for a good room close enough to sorrento especially for price! Also their dog Luna is awesome!

The surrounding area of the hotel was stunning, but my experience was disappointing. I had paid for a sea-view room with a private bathroom, but instead, I was given a room where the ‘private’ bathroom was across the hallway and locked—only if you opened the bathroom window could you see the view I paid for. When I raised this issue with the staff they showed no interest in checking my booking or helping resolve the matter. The hotel itself is in need of some care and attention- The bedding and furniture felt basic and low quality. While there are beautiful views just around the corner, it’s quite a distance from the main area. Overall, we were left with the feeling that we weren’t particularly welcome.

El desayuno casero lo prepara una señora muy amorosa (no preguntamos su nombre pero gracias, estaba todo súper rico), el último día nos dio pizza también buenísima! Las instalaciones son promedio, tienen un patio para poder relajarse y piscina. Las habitaciones muuuuuy pequeñas no coinciden en nada a las fotografías, con decir que nuestra maleta la tuvimos que abrir en el baño. Recomiendo pidan fotos actualizadas antes de reservar. Afuera cuentan con estacionamiento para motos, lo cual es muy cómodo. Agradecemos la atención humana, lo cual es lo mejor que nos llevamos de aquí (:

Great location just outside of sorrento centre and very easy walk to get there (25 minutes). Breakfast options were good, staff were helpful. We didn’t use the pool so can’t comment on it. Room and bathroom were really big for 2 people

The pool and the location of Porto Salvo were the highlights. It is walking distance to Sorrento but much quieter and calmer. We were dissapointed in the AC, it barely worked and couldn't cool off the room. The room was also much smaller than pictured. If you do stay we cannot reccomend highly enough renting a vespa from the gentleman who works at the hotel. He had by far the best prices and the vespa was excellent. He was very helpful and great to deal with.

The staff were very accommodating. The breakfasts had an excellent variety and included homemade specialties.

Over all for the price the place was ideal. After all we were not staying in our rooms (although AC needs a little TLC) we were on the go each and every day. Love the views, proximity to Sorrento, access to restaurants (please make reservations ahead of time to local restaurants) and the fact that it was not run over by tourists - definitely helped. Having breakfasts on the property every day was definitely a big plus, staff was very pleasant and attentive. My kid loved the pool and took advantage almost every day by dipping in after all day site seeing. Thank you Porto Salvo for making our trip easy!

The hotel staff made check in easy and she helped us carry one of our suitcases to the room. The rooms were clean. They provided breakfast every morning. The only negative thing I would say is the location. It is pretty far from the port of Sorrento and downtown area. Although the owner helped us call taxis which was nice.

The location was great. Having a pool was nice, even though it’s not far from a private beach. The staff was so helpful and very nice.

The property is a bit hidden. Calling in advance for instructions on how to get there is mandatory. The front desk will gladly assist you with any request. The breakfast is quite good, and the caffé delicious. We had a lovely stay!

The pictures of the rooms on website are way different than the real life. It looks like an old big house converted to hotel. There are no cameras on rooms hallways, so this hotel really made me feels not safe. I would not recommend this hotel. Front desk help are gone by 9:00PM. This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at so far.

The girl that checked us in wasn’t very friendly and we didn’t feel welcomed at all.

First, this is a great small independent hotel oriented for the traveler not spending time in the room. It’s simple, clean, great neighborhood with a few nearby restaurants and great views. The staff is fantastic. Rosario helped us arrange some tours and transportation. Keep in mind this was an extra effort and she went out of her way to assist. Some of my fellow countrymen were less polite and expected some full service concierge type assistance and that’s not what this gem is about. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.

The property is run Down and unsafe, no elevador, gate is locked, they insulted me and scream at me, dirty with broken glasses on the Windows and they are busy re tu g scooters and ignore cliente, nedless to say , i did not stay, they could not even find my reservation. This place is not worthy to be in expedía, took 30 minutes to open the door, if you check in late : Dear Guest Thank you for choosing Porto Salvo for your stay in Sant'Agnello! Check-in is allowed until 20.00. After this time, is a extra check-in by appointment. THE COST OF LATE CHECK IN IS 20 EURO AFTER 08.00 pm AND 50 euros AFTER midnight. Ex convento ristrutturato pur mantenendo vari elementi originali che rendono gradevole l ambiente. Camere compatte ma sufficientemente capienti, letti comodi, bagno ampio. Ambienti comuni belli, bel giardino, bell aranceto, posti auto interni anche se contingentati. La posizione e' ottima, direttamente sul belvedere di Sant Agnello e sulla spiaggia della Marinella, 20 min a piedi da Piazza Tasso a Sorrento. A me e' piaciuto e ci ritornero'. Personale gentile, buona colazione di dolce.

Un hotel familiar, muy lindo y con unas vistas únicas. Nos sentimos muy cómodos, y el trato fue muy bueno. El desayuno rico y sencillo. A 2 kilómetros del centro de Sorrento, se llega fácil caminando. Gracias y sin duda lo recomendamos!

Same breakfast every day

Overall it was fine. Our first set of towels had mold on them and we had to ask for toilet paper. The daily breakfast was delicious and everyone was very helpful.

O lugar é ok, uma pousada familiar, mas com pessoas bem antipáticas, com exceção da cachorrinha (uma fofura). O cafe da manha é péssimo.
