Was disappointed in the pool being closed, no body wash in the dispenser, then the TV wouldn't work properly. After reporting the TV for the 2nd time the nice receptionist came up to investigate and ended up giving us another room for all our troubles. The new room was bigger and nicer. The shower had a hard time draining so you had to turn it on and off as you showered to not cause a flood in the bathroom.

Great hotel, have stayed a few times and the team have always been accommodating and helpful. The hotel is clean and well provisioned. Gym is small but there is enough equipment to do a good workout and the sauna is great.

Hotel is nice and staff are good but there are a number of families that appear to be living there at present so breakfast is a little like being in a school canteen! There’s also 2 permanently stationed security guards at the entrance which is a little disconcerting. Pool and sauna area completely closed but no mention of that on the website. Nice enough but as a business traveler I wouldn’t be booking again

Wasnt informed prior or during check in that jaccuzi wasnt working. We planned our time accordingly only to find it was broken. No acknowledgement or even a free drink to make up for it. The pool area wasnt clean and bo relaxing atmosphere and no staff managing unruly guests diving into pool

Hotel very comfortable and staff friendly. Health suite was a bit disappointing. They have swim lessons in the pool for kids. There is a notice in reception as to when the lessons are running and the pool is cordoned so you can swim while the lessons are running but as the pool is very small anyway, it makes the swimming area even smaller so virtually impossible to swim. The jacuzzi was also not working so not really worth spending extra money on a hotel with a swimming pool.

The hotel was well presented, well laid out bedrooms and comfy beds. Breakfast was good with plenty of options. The only downside was arriving to find there was a £12 per night parking fee, which was not made clear at the time of booking via Expedia.

Disappointing that the pool and associated facilities were closed. Difficult to find the reception, as I initially thought that the people say at the table with laptops were having a work meeting. Breakfast and bar facilities were good. All staff were helpful and approachable. Room was lovely and very clean. Lots of parking available

Love this hotel, stayed a few times - staff are always absolutely fantastic. Rooms are clean and comfortable & great bathrooms. Super easy & quick to get into Nottingham city centre. Great bar & cocktails

Very poor visit last night at the hotel, firstly no mention on the webpage or hotels.com that pool and sauna wasnt working which is half reason you pay extra to stay in mercures etc and wouldve went elsewhere if knew this but wasnt even told checking in only found out in the morning. Tv wasnt tuned to most channel and even at that came up numerous times with no signal constantly along with the wifi being very poor as i seemed to be put on the end room and needs wifi boosters as my signal jumped in and out meaning couldnt get work done. Stayed in numerous hotels for work and leisure and this is one of the poorer mercures ive stayed in Not a fan of leaving bad reviews so messaged the property directly after my stay as nobody was available to discuss at time and even now after 4 days the property hasnt even had the decency to reply to my initial message so feel no choice but to advise people to save their money and go elsewhere

The hotel offers good facilities and is in a convenient locations. The food is ok, but most days I had to wait for a long time to get a table in the restaurant. The jacuzzi was broken and hadn't been fixed for days. Also, something needs to be done about the moth infestation.

There were blood stains on the shower wall, a random pill on my floor in the bedroom and red stains all throughout the carpet, really unhygienic and there was a loud drilling noise all night coming from the roof as if there were workmen up there, really bad night and first experience

When I checked into the hotel I was taking a shower and noticed a bug on the towel It happened with finding bugs around the room a day after I did get in contact with. Reception and did have someone to look but they didn’t really do much I woke up with bites on my arms and were very itchy . The staff were lovely helpful with guidance to shops just really disappointed about the bug situation.

Rooms are not very soundproofed, and quite small. Some parts of the room were dusty, and the windows didn’t keep out much noise. Spa area needed a refurb as it didn’t seem very clean. Bed was comfortable, and heating system worked well. Appreciated the black out curtains. Safe didn’t work & no fridge.

The hotel had some amenities updated and some not. Carpeting and furniture could use some deep cleaning due to stains. But otherwise everything else was very clean. It’s conveniently located to bus stops, restaurants, and a grocery.

Room was lovely and clean! Very spacious. Breakfast was cooked and presented well. All the staff were polite and helpful. A bit shout out to the lady on the front desk who checked us in with ease and a smile.

The Hotel is conveniently situated just outside Nottingham city centre. Check-in and and out was fine and all helpful. The room itself is very small, and does not really function well as a bedroom/workspace. the bathroom is also small but functional with good shower. The room is so small that the double bed fits in the room but there is little space for anything else there is no storage (I have 3 cases) the is no wardrobe, just a rail that is not useable as it hangs over the coffee/tea kettle/tray, there is no desk, just a narrow shelf to sit a laptop on and very low arm chair that is impossible to sit in and work. Its just not practical as a room but the bed was fine to sleep in.

I was in a single occupancy double bed room. It was TINY. Almost no room to walk round the bed, a large person wouldn't of been able to. The shower would of been amazing except the water was sooo slow to drain I had to keep turning the shower off for literally 1 1/2 minutes to stop it overflowing on to the floor. Plenty of serve your self breakfast. Had an evening meal, expensive for what I got. Free on site parking was a good bonus. Overall I gave a 4 because of having to keep waiting so long for the shower to drain.

Stayed here a couple of years ago and enjoyed our stay so decided to stay here again. I didnt realise that they've recently decided to charge for parking so had to pay £24 to park for 2 nights. Make sure to prebook breakfast or that will be another £16 each. Overall not too bad,but room was a bit smelly and rooms at the front of the hotel facing the main road are noisy at night.

Included breakfast which was lukewarm on the first day as an hour after opening. Slightly warmer on second day as I went at 07.30. Noisy room as on a Saturday night and walls as thin as papers. Room was poky and a squeeze to get about.

The rooms are small and showing their significant age. The TV is positioned such that without great care you knock your shoulder against the hard wooden frame corner. The carpet in the bar and restaurant areas looks as if it was the original from decades ago when the hotel was first built.

Room was v small but nice apart from no heating as broken. I raised this but there were no other rooms to move us to. Was given a plug in heater but had to wait for it to warm up. This was poor. Also £12 per night car park charge should be included in the price. Again this is poor for an out of city centre hotel. Bar area was nice though.

The bed was very comfy and the room had a good size shower. Breakfast was overly too. Air conditioning didn’t work and layout of room not very practical - dressing table had the to where the mirror should have been and mirror on a separate wall. One of the hottest weekends and couldn’t stay cool while getting ready. Very disappointed as carpets are thread bare in places and run down. Not what I was expecting for the price.

Nice hotel, got some great parts done ok parts. Check in on Saturday was very slow. Not sure why, but it took 25 mine to get checked in as some customers ahead of us, seemed to take forever to get resolved. Not sure why that was, staff, systems, or booking issues... Who knows, but with only 2 people before us, 25 mins is not great. The hotel is nice though,service is good, rooms are good, no real complaints. The lifts are very slow though and we thought they would break at any time.... Overall though,not a bad stay abd rooms were nice and quiet and comfortable which is the most important thing.

On arrival, when I went to check in, the male mentioned the total cost to pay with the additional fee for parking. At approximately 12am I entered my room and the smell coming from the bathroom was horrific, I then went to turn the tv on which was not working, tried to boil the kettle and that didn’t work either so I went to reception and told them the issue and was reassured that a member of the team would be there to check what the issue was in about 5-10 minutes. As I got back to my room a realised that I didn’t bring my room key so had to go back down, and the member of staff said I told you someone will be with you in 5-10 minutes before I even got to say I locked myself out of the room. He then gave me a new room key and I waited until about 2:30am and nobody came and I fell asleep.

hotel is fine but I tried to use room service overnight just to get some bottled water. there is no in room phone so room service is done via a QR code. nobody replied for an hour so I cancelled. if you can't offer the service 24/7, don't advertise it as such.

I was allocated a room which was really small, noisy from the lifts going up and down for two nights. I went to the front desk with my complain, thanks to CARRIE for changing me to another room which was big, clean, quiet and really beautiful. I even added another night stay because I felt so happy. Carrie keep it up you are the best. All the way from the USA you treated me the best. The breakfast is really good. Juliet USA

After check-in, we discovered that a party in an event room, one floor below, was causing that much noise, we felt the basses in the room. At the reception, immediately another room was found for us, far away from the party. All staff was very supportive.

Room was lovely and clean! Very spacious. Breakfast was cooked and presented well. All the staff were polite and helpful. A bit shout out to the lady on the front desk who checked us in with ease and a smile.

This is a wonderful small hotel three bus stops from the city centre in Nottingham. The bar is very good--the chips were fantastic!--but the glass ceiling means the room gets very cold in the winter. Wrap up or aim for a more spring-summer-autumn stay. The service was consistently very good.

The receptionist on duty when we arrived on Thursday evening was brilliant. John at breakfast on Friday morning went beyond the call of duty to provide excellent service. The location of the hotel is brilliant for those that enjoy a walkabout - a huge park is within a 5-minute walk.

Included breakfast which was lukewarm on the first day as an hour after opening. Slightly warmer on second day as I went at 07.30. Noisy room as on a Saturday night and walls as thin as papers. Room was poky and a squeeze to get about.

Front desk staff Andrea was friendly and helpful. Overall Hotel was good value for money and clean. We booked this hotel for certain facilities. Unfortunately hotel’s swimming pool was closed during bank holiday weekend due to a fault ,we were told. restaurant was moderately busy on Sunday night with one girl was taking orders and serving on her own. Our food arrived almost one and half hour later closer to 9.45 pm. There are no “Mains” for vegan travellers in the Menue. Front staff spoke to the chef at around 5pm , confirmed vegan version of Ramen could be made for dinner. When we came down to dine we were told that they ran out of that item? If you are a non vegan you’d love this place . Thank you

The hotel had some amenities updated and some not. Carpeting and furniture could use some deep cleaning due to stains. But otherwise everything else was very clean. It’s conveniently located to bus stops, restaurants, and a grocery.

Hotel is good. Stayed one night. Easy check in - but no one at reception for check out! Luckily there was a key drop off. Breakfast had a lot of choice but hot food kept running out and took ages to fill up (15 mins for scrambled egg!)

The hotel is now looking old and worn carpets dirty stained in the room nothing bar a kettle in room no mini bar or fridge no slippers anything pool is small but ok good jacuzzi and steam room sauna out of action breakfast was ok but limited choice on salad bar and £12 to park which is a little ridiculous for the price of the hotel being as expensive as others close by such as Hilton Leonardo etc
