This is a new property that is calm, quiet and comfortable without being ostentatious and ritzy. Dining facilities are limited at the moment but I read that there are plans for more facilities to be developed. For example, there is currently no restaurant for dinner, only for a continental breakfast, and the club next door is the option for the evening meal. It is ordinary to say the least. A integrated restaurant in the Mercure would lift the property to the next level.

The rooms are well appointed and Staff were all extremely attentive and helpful. We were travelling for work purposes. Bed was very comfortable which is what you need for a good nights rest. Onsite parking, room service sited our needs.

This is not the first time we have stayed at this hotel. The rooms are quiet, comfortable and clean. The train station is a 15 minute walk away as is the local shopping centre. The club next door provides good meals. Our only criticism is with the size of the bath towels and the fact that consumables such as milk and toilet paper are not replenished when the stay is longer than 1 night.

Everything was great except for the dirty cup that wasnt cleaned or replaced but when we got back from our outing they had replaced the dirty cup after we had let them know previously, apart from that everything else was clean. Staff were lovely and very friendly. We will give them another go if we stay in Pakenham again.

Solid 3.5 star with some significant drawbacks. Plumbing and loud internal sounds takes away from any positives. If you stay more than 2 nights even if requesting not to they will still tidy the room without cleaning it. Internal noise is a significant drawback if you are a light sleeper.

We paid a bit extra for a luxury suite but it was worthwhile. Loved the super comfortable king size bed and huge bathroom with double basins and bath tub. Kitchenette with fridge, microwave and kettle was also handy. Negatives were the artificial room freshener which was overpowering and unpleasant. Unfortunately the hotel restaurant was also closed for renovation.

Service was good, the room clean and comfortable. We had a problem with the TV which was promptly fixed once we contacted reception. The only let down of our stay was the extremely limited range of wine at the restaurant the club next door which is where the bar and restaurant are that are mentioned in the hotel description.

The Mercure had everything needed for an overnight stay. We dined next door at the restaurant. Lots of food options very close by. Gumbya World is only 18mins away. Room amenities were great. Clean, modern, and spacious. We are a family of four and had plenty of room. The hotel overall is beautiful on the inside. There is a coffee machine in the foyer for those who like coffee. This hotel is great, we will definitely stay here again, next time for a longer stay.

Hotel was brand new, room was great, super comfy bed, big tv (no guide showing programs was annoying), need small light to keep on at night when using toilet (current ones too bright), small kettle took forever to boil (not a big deal but lots of energy for small amount of water). Decided to try Continental breakfast at 9.30am - what a disappointment, 2 pieces of see through ham, crumpets dried out, 3 strawberries placed strategically with red on top, green underneath, tried to bite into a pear - so hard I nearly broke my tooth. I spoke to reception and they were very understanding, refunded my cost however I was happy to pay for my friend as she had the yoghurt etc and enjoyed that. It was a good location next to the Cardinia Club - good meals with Pensioner options.
