Loved our stay here! The property/rooms were beautiful. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. The free coffee and popcorn in the evenings was a nice bonus. Wish we could’ve stayed here longer!

Camino Verde is an exceptional place to stay. The shared deck area is a real highlight. It boasts views across into the cloud forest and is protected from the wind and mist by folding floor to ceiling glass doors. There is a wood burning stove, shared kitchen, free tea and coffee all day. The breakfast is exceptional and good food can be enjoyed in the Soda just next door. The decor is quirky and there are plenty of shared indoor and outdoor spaces so whichever room you choose, there are always options. Walkable into the centre of Santa Elena with secure parking. Highly recommended.

Great location and atmosphere with friendly staff. Full use of kitchen...microwave, refrigerator, coffee, water station, and breakfast is made to serve. Patio is perfect to watch the clouds come in and out. Highly recommend!

Staff were very friendly and helpful with tips for the area. We ended up reserving a zip-lining tour through the front desk and it was very easy. Breakfast was hearty and included. The deck and facilities were great, including an off-street parking lot which was very convenient. My only suggestion for improvement is to have bathroom trash cans with a lid and a stronger sanitary pump, since the septic/sanitation system in the Monteverde area requires that toilet paper be placed in the trash bin instead of the toilet.

We were treated to a nice studio off-site which was incredible. A modern two room cabin style property with a fully equipped kitchen. Everything top modern and there was even an arcade, a record player, Alexa, two tvs, a Nintendo console and a very nice bathroom. It is cold in the mountains and while the two minisplit did not have a heating option, a free standing wood burning oven and blankets were provided. For breakfast there where several hot choices plus delicious yoghurts. The front desk staff walked us to our room and explained everything. Parking was safe being a rolling gate. I love this place.

Loved it! Great price. Friendly check-in, with lots of information about the tours in the area. Great breakfast options. Breakfast area offered coffee/cappuccino machine, which was free during breakfast hours. It turned out to be a great place to meet and visit with other travelers. The facility is beautiful, our room was cozy. Mattresses are quite firm, water was hot, there was a smart tv. We walked to town center a couple of times for groceries, souvenirs, and dining. We had access to the kitchen, and there was a refrigerator there for the guests to use. I would have liked easier access to outlets for bedside phone charging.

We liked the location because we could walk to the town center to eat and shop. The staff was exceptional and the breakfast was tasty. We were happy with our rooms. We especially loved going next door to the "soda" (small local restaurant) to eat and to pet their cat Garfield. Also, El Camino offered laundry services for an additional cost, which we were glad to take advantage of.
We liked the location because we could walk to the town center to eat and shop. The staff was exceptional and the breakfast was tasty. We were happy with our rooms. Conveniently located within the town but secluded enough that it was always peaceful like a good hideaway. The breakfast was great and the all day tea and afternoon popcorn was a delight. I appreciated that guests were able to use the kitchen and designated fridge. The deck area where you could lounge while you read, ate, or just enjoy company with a great view was an added bonus. A big thank you to the two guys at front desk. They both were very warm and welcoming, knowledgeable about anything we asked and spot on with their recommendations. I highly recommend this property and will be back again kn my next trip to Monteverde

It was very humid in the room, the ceiling in the bathroom had mold. It will definitely benefit to have a dehumidifier in the room. The location is very good. Breakfast was excellent!

Overall property was pretty good. Our room was on the bottom floor so a little musty smelling. Beds were comfortable. Shower pressure was excellent, lots of hot water and a decent size towel. Breakfast was great! Common areas - where the breakfast is and the deck are nice. Coffee available all day was nice. Staff was friendly and helpful with suggestions for places to eat. A road on either side of the hotel so lots of noisy motorcycles.

This hotel has its good side and bad side. The good sides were that the hotel had breakfast and a amazing view of the city. The bad side was that there was no AC in the room and rooms and super small. If you open the balcony door at night, you will hear the street noises and the beds were uncomfortable. I would recommended staying there for one or two night.

Our stay at Camino Verde was great! The staff was awesome as they gave us a thorough check-in of the property as well as a good introduction to Monteverde and the various activities. They were super helpful in booking outside activities and giving their personal recommendations (Thanks Jaustin!). Our room was quaint but fit the two of us and was clean. The only minor issue we encountered was the Wi-Fi was intermittent and spotty into the room.

We didn’t have a good experience at the hotel. The room was very small. Only one person could enter the balcony at a time. Water from the shower would flood the entire bathroom whenever showering and at one point the water came in the room too. I will never repeat the hotel.

The staff is very friendly and helpful for things to do in the area. They can arrange tours for you. The room we had was small but there was a common area for 4 rooms right outside the door which was nice for relaxing. The breakfast is good with 4 hot menu choices: omelette, banana pancakes or Costa Rican breakfast. Fresh fruit and cereal. Coffee always available which was nice for my husbands coffee habit! Room was dark and quiet at night. The hotel is located right around the corner from the downtown so we could walk to restaurants and coffee shops. Safe parking for our car. Would definitely recommend this place!

We stayed in triple room 127 which I would not recommend to anyone. It is directly below the dining room, and people were walking through it, some talking loudly, on the way to their rooms up to 1:30 a.m. then at 6:00 a.m. more noise as they set up for breakfast or maybe guests walking through again on their way somewhere. So none of us had a good sleep. Other than that, it was a nice place, great breakfast, and all staff were very kind and helpful.
We stayed in triple room 127 which I would not recommend to anyone. It is directly below the dining room, and people were walking through it, some talking loudly, on the way to their rooms up to 1:30 a.m. then at 6:00 a.m. more noise as they set up for breakfast or maybe guests walking through again on their way somewhere. So none of us had a good sleep. Other than that, it was a nice place, great breakfast, and all staff were very kind and helpful.

The property is close to town with dining options, staff is friendly and very helpful. Downsides is no air conditioning which meant leaving windows open for air movement and the cars are really loud all through the night...will need earplugs.

We had an amazing stay at Camino Verde B & B in Monteverde! Unfortunately due to tight international layovers we missed our first two days in the area, and only stayed one night here. The staff was so accommodating and nice and even tried to look to extend our stay with them (even though we couldn’t because we already had another stay booked elsewhere). Most of the staff was fluently bilingual. The reception desk was very helpful at finding good local places. What a beautiful, unique place! I wish we could’ve actually enjoyed being here. Breakfast was delicious!

The staff were amazing. We came in wet from zip lining in the rain. They let us check in early, assisted with dining recommendations, personable, friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay here again and again and again. I wish I could move to Costa Rica. I absolutely love it there!

Conveniently located within the town but secluded enough that it was always peaceful like a good hideaway. The breakfast was great and the all day tea and afternoon popcorn was a delight. I appreciated that guests were able to use the kitchen and designated fridge. The deck area where you could lounge while you read, ate, or just enjoy company with a great view was an added bonus. A big thank you to the two guys at front desk. They both were very warm and welcoming, knowledgeable about anything we asked and spot on with their recommendations. I highly recommend this property and will be back again kn my next trip to Monteverde

We were received by Diego, who was very welcoming after our flight and long car ride. He was really great and helpful with information and recommendations for guided tours that resulted in amazing hikes throughout the area. We had an excellent stay in a convenient location close to restaurant and stores. Very nicely run place and clean accommodations. Nice breakfast every morning. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They will arrange transportation and activities if needed

The rooms are very nice and very clean. Nice quiet atmosphere. Included breakfast was very good. 5 minute walk to downtown, lots of resturants to choose from as well as shopping. Locals were nice too. Would definetly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a quiet relaxing stay

This B&B in Santa Elena is amazing! The rooms look like little luxury Lodges, very new and extremely clean. The location is great, walking distance to restaurants, bars and shops. Parking is free in a secured lot across the street. The staff is really friendly and helpful (i.e. with booking night walks etc) and the breakfast is good as well. The seating area has a nice view avross the town. I would definitely come back and was sad that I only stayed one night.

It was a very peaceful restful location, views were incredible. Monteverde is very hilly, so if you dont have a vehicle, prepare for ups and down.

The staff is very friendly and helpful for things to do in the area. They can arrange tours for you. The room we had was small but there was a common area for 4 rooms right outside the door which was nice for relaxing. The breakfast is good with 4 hot menu choices: omelette, banana pancakes or Costa Rican breakfast. Fresh fruit and cereal. Coffee always available which was nice for my husbands coffee habit! Room was dark and quiet at night. The hotel is located right around the corner from the downtown so we could walk to restaurants and coffee shops. Safe parking for our car. Would definitely recommend this place!

This hotel is situated in the heart of downtown Monteverde which makes it very easy to go to pharmacies, grocery stores, restaurants, tour operators, laundry services, etc. Unfortunately, this also means it can be quite noisy from road noise. The walls are also quite thin and you can hear everything/everyone. Bring earplugs and you should be OK though. The best part of this hotel besides location is the price per night and staff. The staff definitely make the hotel come alive. They are friendly, gracious, and helpful. The breakfast is delicious too.

We stayed in the private apartment, which was lovely. The fireplace is a very nice touch and the unit is well equipped with a kitchen and some fun retro touches (Pac-Man game and console, record player with records). The street is very noisy, but that is true with most places in the area. I wore ear plugs every night. The beds weren’t the most comfortable either. Staff was great though and the daily breakfast was nice.

Excellent b&b, best breakfast, afternoon popcorn for snack, receptionist were the best. Rooms were small but very clean. Bathroom was good and wonderful viewing common deck. Very walkable to the town. All in all we had the best experience!

Loved it! Great price. Friendly check-in, with lots of information about the tours in the area. Great breakfast options. Breakfast area offered coffee/cappuccino machine, which was free during breakfast hours. It turned out to be a great place to meet and visit with other travelers. The facility is beautiful, our room was cozy. Mattresses are quite firm, water was hot, there was a smart tv. We walked to town center a couple of times for groceries, souvenirs, and dining. We had access to the kitchen, and there was a refrigerator there for the guests to use. I would have liked easier access to outlets for bedside phone charging.

Great location and hotel, good breakfast choice (only fruit and toast for us as vegans but that suited us). Good cooks, the hotel organised our transfer to them, plus 2 trips while we visited which were not excwntly organised throughout

Hotel muy limpio y cuidado, las habitaciones son tambien amplias. El desayuno bueno y suficiente, hay algo de buffet(fruta, cereales,zumo y cafe) y te dan a elegir un plato de 4 que hay en el menu(panqueques,huevos,tortilla...). Por la tarde hacen palomitas y hay cafe gratis yodo el dia. Al llegar te dan muchas indicaciones para disfrutar de Monteverde.
