Pools were not kept clean. Glasses, trash, water bottles, cigarette butts floating around in the water. Some of the staff was super friendly…but a majority was very rude. Resort is HUGE. No swim up bar here. Not sure how we missed that. While we may come back to Punta Cana…it will not be this resort.

The gym was amazing. There are many options to eat, there is a juice bar that it was really good. Something I didn't like it was that you have to paid the bowling, it is not included and the price it was ridiculous ,also the description of the view of the room it was not accurate, it was awful . There are a lot of cats in the property and they look how if no one feed them , it was so sad to see that. In general the hotel it not bad but is not a 5 star hotel and the price is too expensive for what they offer.

Had a lovely stay at Lopesan (adults only)! The hotel is beautiful - both the property and the rooms. It's very modern and clean. There's not much privacy in the bathrooms (no main bathroom door only a clear wall for the shower and toilet), though this seems to be the way most resorts are designed. We had a swim out room which was great to have our space when we wanted to get away from the main pools. The adults only pool was great, there was a security guard at the entrance to ensure no children were in the pool and the staff at the pool were lovely. Drinks were great - lots of options. The pools got pretty busy as most people throw towels over the chairs in the morning, so suggest to do this if you want space at any of the pools (main pool or adults pool). The adults only section is only one part of the hotel, so there were families and kids in the other areas. Though the breakfast buffet had adults only seating and the steak restaurant was also adults only. Beach was nice as well and the chairs seems more plentiful here. You can walk along the beach in both directions pretty far which was a nice option. Food was good. Lots of restaurant options, which I would recommend making a reservation for when you arrive as they fill up quickly. Overall had a great stay!

ALL pools close at 6:30PM including the adults only. Lots of families, low participants of activities in the resort. Beach is small but nice. Would recommend adults only for less kids. Drinks and service was very good. Place was very clean, put up a happy birthday banner with free hydrotherapy without us asking. Overall we would come back, staff and resort were amazing, not a party resort but very close to other clubs so it was a good balance.

Lopesan Costa Bávaro is a true gem in Punta Cana. From the moment I arrived, I was blown away by the stunning architecture and lush tropical surroundings. The rooms were spacious, modern, and offered breathtaking views of the ocean. The staff were incredibly attentive, making sure every detail of my stay was perfect. The variety of dining options was impressive, with each restaurant offering delicious and beautifully presented dishes. The resort's pools were pristine, and the beach was absolutely perfect for relaxing or taking a leisurely stroll. Lopesan Costa Bávaro exceeded all my expectations, and I can’t wait to return for another unforgettable vacation.

Had a fantastic stay! The resort and upkeep of the grounds was so impressive, just an absolutely beautiful spot. The food was decent, not unbelievable, but totally fine. Service was great as well. Got lots of use out of the coffee shop, gym, and split time between the beach and pools. Lots to keep busy, which was inportant to me. My wife and I didn’t understand some of the negative reviews, because we can’t say enough good things about Lopesan.

Be aware! No swim up bar . the pool closes 7pm daily !! There are kids everywhere even when you pay more for adults only - kids are in all of the areas and restaurants. They were even sitting in the barstools at the sports bar. The food is terrible. Not seasoned, you will have to eat off the resort. Not to mention the only late night food spot is the restaurant called the valley . Freezer food would be better. As far as the resort- Be prepared to walk everywhere - it’s Huge and spaced out. The staff is rude and will walk off in the middle of you speaking to them. The country itself was beautiful, and off the resort was amazing. I wish more people were honest in their tic tok and google reviews because had I known all of these things I would have booked elsewhere. Although the property itself is gorgeous the bad Outweighs the good. Consider yourself warned

The Lopesan Costa Bavaro Resort is beautiful, especially at night with all of the lighting and water features. It’s also nicely laid out and affords various types of pools, bars, and restaurants to accommodate families, couples, and friends. Staff were friendly and attentive for the most part, though it could be challenging to get drinks while at the pool or beach from servers who seemed overworked as they took numerous orders at one time, which meant 30+ wait times for drinks. Lots of seating at the beach and by the pools was a plus. Check-in for adults only took quite a while and was a bit intense and unclear. We brought our 18 year old daughter with us for a graduation gift and the opportunity to enjoy adults only fun, but were met with a lot of questioning about her age. We booked adults only and learned that unfortunately that meant we would be in the furthest corner of the resort and at a distance from most of the entertainment since it seems the resort has more options for families than adults only. Apparently we could have upgraded to the unique option too with a closer room, better towels and beach bar access, but no one even mentioned this during check-in. Overall good stay for a first time at an all inclusive resort.

The restaurants were overall good and the different bars that were available all had a certain uniqueness to them. The beach was covered in seaweed with a small swimming area. The boats were not a bother but the size of the swimming area and depth of the water wasn’t as expected. The drink sizes and choices over-exceeded expectations. The staff could have been friendlier. I found that a lot of the staff were not very welcoming. The resort itself and the amenities were excellent. I enjoyed the adult only pool the most. The swim up room was an excellent choice.

Horrible experience. The hotel turned off the power for maintenance while guests were staying there, without any prior notice. The power was out yesterday and again today for several hours. There was no food available, no water while the electricity was out, and no way to charge our phones. To make things worse, there were roaches in the room. Terrible experience.

My wife and I were not impressed with the Lopesan Costa Bávaro Resort. We stayed for 9 days and compared to other resorts which we have stayed at in the past, this one did not live up to our expectations. When we arrived the AC in our room was not working, it took us three separate inquiries and two days for this to be addressed. The TV did not work in the room, this was never rectified. We stayed in an Adults Only swim-up room and on two separate occasions there were children in our area. When I complained I was met with a seemingly false apology. The Beach area was dirty with empty drink glasses, straws and cigarette butts between the beach chairs. We were constantly harassed by people to buy excursions and DRUGS while we lounged on the resort beach chairs. The boats anchored in front of the resorts beach provided noise and the constant smell of exhaust fumes. The staff were mostly friendly but at times very rude. They seem to be poorly trained. The food was mediocre at best. When seated the waiter would provide a wine list/bottle service in which you could purchase bottles of wine and other premium liquors with dinner, on three separate occasions I tried ordering different bottles but was told it was unavailable. I then would try to order a scotch from their list, that too was unavailable. The pool areas were dirty and there was no shaded areas to escape the sun. Overall we did not have an enjoyable experience at this resort. Negligent Misrepresentation!

Beautiful property that really delivers for the price point. The resort is massive and you can spend a whole day admiring the beauty of it all. Only couple of drawbacks experienced were that the room was not sparkling clean on the day of check in (though it was spotless every other day of the trip), and that there was a bit of an odour in the room caused by the humidity (you get used to it after a day and then it’s not bad at all). Drinks are strong here relative to other all inclusives I’ve visited (for me this was a positive but might not be for everyone), food was quite good but just remember that it’s all inclusive food and not michelin star. The beach and pool were nice and lively but not exactly a party vibe if that’s what you’re looking for. Some people mention smelling fumes from boats at the beach, but I never noticed this myself. Perhaps not as tranquil as other beaches/resorts but I found it was a good balance for someone in their 20s/30s that wants something a bit less than a party resort but doesn’t want to stay somewhere boring/sleepy either.

I understand this is just my experience and others may have had a worst or better experience but no exaggeration or fluff, this is a honest review! On a scale from 1-5, rating the most important things an all-inclusive should have (in my opinion) WiFi - 2 TV Services - 1 Lopesan App - 2 Staff Service - 3 Food/drink - 3 Amenities - 5 Property Landscape- 5 Room Cleanliness - 4 Property Cleanliness - 4 Property & Rooms: I stayed in the adults only section (not Unique) a King swim- up room. It was quiet and private and there weren’t any kids, however others may pass through the hallways as the hotel has many openings to enter and exit from. I had an amazing stay at Lopesan! The resort was very clean and beautifully maintained. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The amenities were top-notch, and the whole place felt modern and luxurious. The food was excellent — every meal was delicious. Overall, everything was perfect. I would definitely come back again!

My family and I absolutely loved this resort!! The rooms were clean and spacious. They stayed pretty cool and felt nice coming in from outside. Theres plenty of dining options. My favorite was the italian and asian restaurant. Staff was very friendly. The only thing is theres a bit of a language barrier with some staff (most were bilingual). The beach was beautiful and hardly any seaweed where we were at. Beware of the men selling things on the beach-we ran into one who was trying to convince us to do exersions, however he didnt work for the resort and we were warned about it by staff. Another man was trying to sell us hats made of plants. They will target you if youre American lol. Also, if youre a cat lover like me, youll love all the kitties on the resort! They like to hide in the bushes and come out more at night. Overall, a beautiful resort with tons to do! Definitely recommend!

Had a lovely stay at Lopesan (adults only)! The hotel is beautiful - both the property and the rooms. It's very modern and clean. There's not much privacy in the bathrooms (no main bathroom door only a clear wall for the shower and toilet), though this seems to be the way most resorts are designed. We had a swim out room which was great to have our space when we wanted to get away from the main pools. The adults only pool was great, there was a security guard at the entrance to ensure no children were in the pool and the staff at the pool were lovely. Drinks were great - lots of options. The pools got pretty busy as most people throw towels over the chairs in the morning, so suggest to do this if you want space at any of the pools (main pool or adults pool). The adults only section is only one part of the hotel, so there were families and kids in the other areas. Though the breakfast buffet had adults only seating and the steak restaurant was also adults only. Beach was nice as well and the chairs seems more plentiful here. You can walk along the beach in both directions pretty far which was a nice option. Food was good. Lots of restaurant options, which I would recommend making a reservation for when you arrive as they fill up quickly. Overall had a great stay!

My room was great. The refrigerator did not work so I didn’t take advantage of the beverages. My friends had issues with their rooms. In one of the rooms it smelled like mildew and in the other the door was broken so they were not able to lock their door the whole trip.

The hotel was good, but we were given a different room than what we had booked (twin beds vs king bed) without being noticed when checking in. The room are spacious and the balconies great, but as there are no door to the bathroom, privacy is not really a thing if there's more than one person in the room. The resort is big, but could be a bit cleaner. Was paper in the adults only pool, trash around the resort etc. Furthermore, while the restaurants offers great service, it is still like being on a conveyor belt - everything being rushed and food served that has been kept warm for a long time (soggy fries, luke warm fish etc). And the Asian restaurant does not taste Asian at all.

The property is beautiful…definitely plan to walk everywhere. Use the map they give you because it’s ALOT of shops and activities and restaurants on site. The food at the buffet is ok…there are plenty options including vegan…we made reservation at the steakhouse. It was good. The room was beautiful. We had the swim up suite. The staff was wonderful and hospitable. There is a language barrier so download google translate.

My wife and I were not impressed with the Lopesan Costa Bávaro Resort. We stayed for 9 days and compared to other resorts which we have stayed at in the past, this one did not live up to our expectations. When we arrived the AC in our room was not working, it took us three separate inquiries and two days for this to be addressed. The TV did not work in the room, this was never rectified. We stayed in an Adults Only swim-up room and on two separate occasions there were children in our area. When I complained I was met with a seemingly false apology. The Beach area was dirty with empty drink glasses, straws and cigarette butts between the beach chairs. We were constantly harassed by people to buy excursions and DRUGS while we lounged on the resort beach chairs. The boats anchored in front of the resorts beach provided noise and the constant smell of exhaust fumes. The staff were mostly friendly but at times very rude. They seem to be poorly trained. The food was mediocre at best. When seated the waiter would provide a wine list/bottle service in which you could purchase bottles of wine and other premium liquors with dinner, on three separate occasions I tried ordering different bottles but was told it was unavailable. I then would try to order a scotch from their list, that too was unavailable. The pool areas were dirty and there was no shaded areas to escape the sun. Overall we did not have an enjoyable experience at this resort. Negligent Misrepresentation!

Everything was amazing! The food was delicious, the rooms were kept very clean and the best part was the staff. They were so kind and welcoming. I have never had service as great as it was here at LOPESAN. We would absolutely go back and highly recommend this resort.

The property was excellent. But the real charm is the staff. Edgar Dose and Elvis Reyes went above and beyond to make our stay an excellent one. They really made my Wife feel special on her birthday. Room service was slow and food was always cold by the time of arrival. Fridge did not cool properly, outlets did not work properly. If you didn’t have a reservation for a restaurant they would not allow you to eat. When towels were requested they never arrived and I was required to get them myself. We stayed in an Adults Only swim-up room and on two separate occasions there were children in our area. When I complained I was met with a seemingly false apology. The Beach area was dirty with empty drink glasses, straws and cigarette butts between the beach chairs. We were constantly harassed by people to buy excursions and DRUGS while we lounged on the resort beach chairs. The boats anchored in front of the resorts beach provided noise and the constant smell of exhaust fumes. The staff were mostly friendly but at times very rude. They seem to be poorly trained. The food was mediocre at best. When seated the waiter would provide a wine list/bottle service in which you could purchase bottles of wine and other premium liquors with dinner, on three separate occasions I tried ordering different bottles but was told it was unavailable. I then would try to order a scotch from their list, that too was unavailable. The pool areas were dirty and there was no shaded areas to escape the sun. Overall we did not have an enjoyable experience at this resort. Negligent Misrepresentation!

The property is beautiful…definitely plan to walk everywhere. Use the map they give you because it’s ALOT of shops and activities and restaurants on site. The food at the buffet is ok…there are plenty options including vegan…we made reservation at the steakhouse. It was good. The room was beautiful. We had the swim up suite. The staff was wonderful and hospitable. There is a language barrier so download google translate.

They were even sitting in the barstools at the sports bar. The food is terrible. Not seasoned, you will have to eat off the resort. Not to mention the only late night food spot is the restaurant called the valley . Freezer food would be better. As far as the resort- Be prepared to walk everywhere - it’s Huge and spaced out. The staff is rude and will walk off in the middle of you speaking to them. The country itself was beautiful, and off the resort was amazing. I wish more people were honest in their tic tok and google reviews because had I known all of these things I would have booked elsewhere. Although the property itself is gorgeous the bad Outweighs the good. Consider yourself warned

The Lopesan Costa Bavaro Resort is beautiful, especially at night with all of the lighting and water features. It’s also nicely laid out and affords various types of pools, bars, and restaurants to accommodate families, couples, and friends. Staff were friendly and attentive for the most part, though it could be challenging to get drinks while at the pool or beach from servers who seemed overworked as they took numerous orders at one time, which meant 30+ wait times for drinks. Lots of seating at the beach and by the pools was a plus. Check-in for adults only took quite a while and was a bit intense and unclear. We brought our 18 year old daughter with us for a graduation gift and the opportunity to enjoy adults only fun, but were met with a lot of questioning about her age. We booked adults only and learned that unfortunately that meant we would be in the furthest corner of the resort and at a distance from most of the entertainment since it seems the resort has more options for families than adults only. Apparently we could have upgraded to the unique option too with a closer room, better towels and beach bar access, but no one even mentioned this during check-in. Overall good stay for a first time at an all inclusive resort.

The restaurants were overall good and the different bars that were available all had a certain uniqueness to them. The beach was covered in seaweed with a small swimming area. The boats were not a bother but the size of the swimming area and depth of the water wasn’t as expected. The drink sizes and choices over-exceeded expectations. The staff could have been friendlier. I found that a lot of the staff were not very welcoming. The resort itself and the amenities were excellent. I enjoyed the adult only pool the most. The swim up room was an excellent choice.

Beautiful property! This isn’t a 5 star review mostly because of staff… Our experience with staff wasn’t the best. We came to find out only in our check in that most of the restaurants, with exception of the buffet, needed a reservation, but in order to make a reservation you need to be checked in. Well, majority of the restaurants didn’t have availability for the same night and others not until 4 days in advance. The resort didn’t seem to be full, I had a hard time understanding the reservations policy with so many restaurants…

The rooms were comfortable and spacious the only thing it was very humid in the room no matter what we did our how many time they cleaned. The real highlight of my stay was the restaurant, El Asador. The food was amazing, with a wide range of delicious options. The service was also top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff.

Everything was amazing! The food was delicious, the rooms were kept very clean and the best part was the staff. They were so kind and welcoming. I have never had service as great as it was here at LOPESAN. We would absolutely go back and highly recommend this resort.

Guys. Run. Our room was filthy and moldy (adults only swim up room). We slept with the back door open the first night as they had nowhere to move us. Moved us the next day to “another swim up room”… it was next door and the patio was half the size with no tanning chairs. There were bugs/roaches in the bathroom/ shower and the back door didn’t close all the way so we got mosquitos in the room all night. Food was horrible. The buffet was good, restaurants were trash. This was a common complaint among a few guests we spoke to from Russia, Canada, France, and the States. The beach is blocked off about 15 feet into the water for loud boats. The photo of the open clear sea is inaccurate. The water around the pool areas and the cabanas is drained out/low. Power went out 3 TIMES while we were there. At checkout when asked how our stay was, we said below par in hopes of some resolution. Came back home and tried to get a partial refund of sorts- or someone to listen to the issues- and got denied by the hotel AND EXPEDIA. Incredibly unfortunate to spend so much money to visit somewhere that has falsely advertised themselves.

Fabulous Hotel. Interior and Hotel grounds meticulously cared for and maintained. The outdoor area is so immense that it never feels crowded. The beach view is fantastic with miles of beach to walk and enjoy.

So let me start by saying this is our 5th time in the DR. We’ve been to Majestic Elegance, Barcelo Bavaro Beach Adults and Iberostar Grand Bavaro Adults to put it into perspective . The service quality and the manner with which they provide said service is the worst by far of any resort we’ve ever been to, including the ones in Mexico. I’m not sure what the issue is but even when we tipped, it never got any better the second time around. Let’s start with the resort though: the place is super nice, modern, the rooms are spacious and like every other resort in the DR, very humid, but the AC does a good job so no issues there. Room service only came 3 out of the 6 nights we were there and 2 of those times it was because at almost 5 pm when we returned to the room from the beach, we saw them in the hallway cleaning up NEW rooms, and bribed them with some money to do ours, so don’t expect clean sheets every day. Matter of fact, the first and only time they cleaned the room on their own, they just did the bed ( because that’s where we had left $5 for them on) and never replaced the towels. I guess they felt they at least had to replace the sheets since they took the money, idk.. Now onto the restaurants… the best by far is the French one, but only because of the steak, otherwise, like in all the other restaurants on the resort, they will not come to ask you about drinks or take your order unless you signal them or like another customer did in front of us, literally lost t
