The hotel was excellent once we got there. All entrances were blocked off for repaving the next day with no way to get in. On calling we were told to go to the next hotel and drive over the berm and across the lawn to get in. We were never notified about this before we arrived

Wanted a close proximity to Cold Spring and Beacon. This hotel was a perfect location. My wife and I love the low architecture of the 2 story housing complex layout. Lots of free parking and walking distances to diners and places to shop. Clean and well laid out room. No cleaning on weekends but you can get supplies at front desk. Would stay again.

We stayed just one night to attend a funeral. Do not ask for Room 112. It faces the main road and there’s constant traffic noise. The bed and sheets were clean and comfortable. The floor was sticky, makes that sound on your shoe soles, like when you walk on dirty restaurant floors. The bathroom shows age, but doable for just one night. A/C unit is pretty noisy. Location is convenient, next to a gas station with convenience store. In the front driveway there are electric charging stations to charge your car. The pool was closed up, but has BBQ pits and sitting area. This hotel is also available for long term stays as it has a kitchenette with full supplies and a small living/TV area, sofa is too close to the TV.

Our stay was ok. We felt the carpet was damp and smelled. There was mold on the ceiling of the shower. In the 7 days we were there, they only cleaned our room once and we had to ask for add't towels a couple of times.

My wife and I spend Sundays for us we usually go out to eat then head to the best western.after the first time (2 weeks ago) we loved the property and loved the kitchen! Now on our stay this pass Sunday my wife found plenty of hair all over the sheet. And pillow case as if neither were changed. We were going to the office to request sheets but found a housekeeper and she gave us the sheets and pillow cases and said she will be back but never did. We changed the bedding not a big deal but not what I want to do either.. It’s a shame we really like the hotel and felt comfortable. We still may Enjoy our Sunday nights at the BW.

The Best Western looked charming from the online pictures, and the rooms seemed to be at a great value. The staff was friendly when they checked us in, and were incredibly efficient. Our room was not "dirty," but unclean. EVERYTHING was sticky. The floors had a film of something that made you feel unclean, wet, and dirty all simultaneously. We didn't want to spend more than a few minutes in there, and were incredibly careful what surfaces we touched. We were afraid of bed bugs, just with the general level of dirtiness, and so wasted an hour, and $40 at Walmart down the street to get new bed sheets (which we just left there as a sacrifice), and a new bedding set. It just felt cleaner to us. I showed in the morning, my wife didn't, and the bathtub was clogged and wouldn't drain, whilst somehow also being incredibly slippery with no stability bar for the disabled (I'm disabled). Overall, the expression "don't judge a book by it's cover felt very appropriate," and we would never stay again.

We chose this BW for the space. The chandelier was coated in dust. The windowsills were dirty. The heating system sounds like a plane taking off - but we were happy with price and space. We had two levels and the added privacy when you have older teens was worth the issues above.

The only complaint I have is the cleaning the room was very poor. I had to wipe counters down and there were nasty stains on the duvet so that pissed me off and let me know they don't clean them after every guest. So I had to sleep with just the sheets and was not happy.

First of all, we are not hotel snobs. The most important thing for us is cleanliness and this hotel was very clean and our room was spacious. You can tell the rooms have been renovated. The bathroom was very nice and again very clean. One thing that needs to be improved is the pull out bed mattress. This was so old and thin and I could feel all of the coils. The two queen beds in the room were very nice and comfortable. The area was quiet and we felt safe. The breakfast buffet was adequate. Nothing over the top, but good. Overall we would definitely stay here again but please replace the mattresses on the pullout beds!

We were only at the hotel from late evening to early morning. It was a good stay for us. The only negative were children running around in the room above us for a while late at night and we could hear it through the ceiling. We had a sound machine to turn up loudly to drown out the noise.

We enjoyed our stay! We loved having what felt like our own apartment that we could come and go as we pleased and having a private entrance and kitchen. Staff was very friendly and polite at check in and check out. We said we just wish the bed wasn’t so firm. Other than that, it was a great experience.

Stayed here before, chose it for proximity to friends/family in Dutchess Co, proximity to major highways, restaurants, attractions, etc. I like that the rooms are in separate bungalows with doors opening to outside, giving them an "apartment" rather than hotel feel. Upper units are accessible by stairs only, no good for folks w/disabilities. King bed was comfortable, plenty of pillows, high-end bed linens. The AC/heat unit is a bit noisy, but works well. The large wall-mounted flat-screen TV can be viewed easily from the seating area or the bed. The kitchen has a suite of functional full-size appliances, and is bigger than kitchens in some apartments I've lived in. My only interaction with staff was the guy who checked me in, and woman who checked me out - they were pleasant and informative. The room was very clean when I checked in but wasn't attended by the cleaning staff during my stay. The bathroom/vanity area is large, with plenty of counter space. The vanity mirror lighting is soft and pleasing, but not ideal for actually seeing things. The heat/fan is a nice option for the shower room, especially on a cold March wknd. Didn't have to share my room with any spiders this time, which was a relief (not their season, I guess), and overall my stay was good-excellent. The 2 big minuses were the road noise from Route 9 (tip: ask for a room at the back) and the debris/garbage on the grass/landscaped areas - wish outside was as well-kept as the rooms.

Some hot Breakfast options were rotated every 2-3 days which was good. Loved having this included. Toilet flush did not have a lot of power to it; had to hold the handle down for about 5 seconds to ensure the water went down. Pull out sofa mattress needs replacing; could feel the springs in my back. Considering the proximity to Route 9, the hotel was quieter than expected. Walkable dining options nearby including the Red Line Diner.

When I checked in, they gave me the key to the wrong room. It was late at night and I went to the room. They assigned me, as I was trying to open the door, the person inside started screaming, which startled me and caused me to scream. Not the way to start a stay.

The most frustrating thing about this stay was that staff did not acknowledge the privacy please sign on our door. When we stay at hotels we do not need housekeeping and most hotels honor the privacy sign and have a policy. We came back to our room and the sign was on the floor in front of our door. We went in and the beds were made, trash gone and wet towels gone but no replacements and no toilet paper and they left their cleaning container just outside the area near our door? Very suspicious behavior. When addressed with the front desk they made excuses, no apologies no nothing and when we asked to speak to the manager he was always unavailable. I would not recommend staying here. Especially if you have a young family. Not safe. This Best Western was very disappointing.

Well maintained property with a friendly and responsive staff. Only real issue is highway noise - our unit was at the front of the property closest to the highway and the noise was occasionally intrusive. Great local diner and Indian restaurant in walking distance. As well as a Cracker Barrel, Starbucks and Walmart Super Center. Everything you might need.

I stayed here once before and liked the experience. My only complaints, same as last time, are that I had to share the room with a spider. Not a deal-breaker, but I'm particularly creeped out by them. I had one in my room last time and REALLY hoped that with the cooler weather I'd be spared, but... alas. Like last time, I made an agreement with this spider to stay in his area (near the ceiling in the bathroom) and I'd stay in mine (anywhere BUT where he was) and we could coexist. The spider honored the arrangement. It's Dutchess Co, "the country," and I get that the doors open to the outside, so it's bound to happen... just wish it wasn't SPIDERS. Only other complaint was whatever room-refreshening fragrance seems to be piped into the rooms was a little much. Not a bad smell, just too strong. Room was clean and tidy, plenty of TP, towels, tissues, toiletries, etc. Lay-out is like a small apartment, which I like, with a separate kitchen/eating area, a seating area with a couch and chair for watching TV. I like that the TV swivels so you can watch from the bed or the seating area. The hotel was pretty full, I think because of a wedding, but excellent noise insulation made it seem like I was the only one there. I didn't use the amenities (24/7 gym, laundry, pool was closed for the season, didn't make it to breakfast) but it's nice that they're included. Price was reasonable for holiday weekend. Check-out was a breeze. I'll probably stay here next time, too.

Very nice rooms and friendly staff. This is however a rather unconventional set up for a hotel as the rooms are in separate small buildings. This requires you to walk outside to go to the front desk and breakfast area. Also for the size of this hotel the breakfast area was too small and understaffed. It was overcrowded each morning and constantly running out of things. We ended up going to a local diner instead for breakfast.

The breakfast staffer cleared away bagels and fruit when he saw us arrive the first morning. We asked him if we could have the bagels and he brought them back out. To be fair, it was closing time. The next morning though, I went early to make a second waffle and the same staffer took away the waffle mix, which had plenty in it and filled it, returning it a few minutes later. This was an odd and annoying pattern. I felt like the man was angling for a tip by “visibly adding value” but really it was just annoying. Other staff members were great.

The accomodations are beautiful. But the breakfast was terrible. Cold dry eggs that had a crust and no hot water for tea. Also no extra blanket or towels.check in went smoothly.
