Elounda Alikes was a great two-night base. The studio was clean and comfortable, and the location made the stay easy — we walked into Elounda village for dinner, and Plaka was a short hop for the Spinalonga boat. We also walked over to the sunken city of Olous and used the room as a quiet place to come back to. Check-in was straightforward and the staff were helpful. Parking worked with the rental car. We would stay again if we were back on this side of Crete.

Reasonable value for money. Excellent staff. Room in need of minor upkeep - loose towel rack, venetian blinds need replacement, etc. Would stay again.

While checking us into a room, the hotel person asked us to wait in the hall while he turned on the air conditioning. Within minutes of being welcomed inside, there were huge cockroaches coming out of the bathroom. They offered to switch our rooms (it was 10 pm after along travel day from another island), so we went to dinner. When we returned, everyone at bar/reception knew we were changing rooms. We returned to original room to retrieve our luggage and upon turning the lights on, many more cockroaches scattered. We have live pictures.
