Overfall nice experience. Hotel is little old and worn but that doesn’t really matter. Service is 10/10, really beautiful garden area all around the hotel. Really nice pools. Active slide pool for kids, relaxing ”beach” pool and two other. Restaurants is the highlight here especially Ocean Rhyme and Ciao. Both serve awesome food.

The staff was super friendly and very attentive, not only at breakfast but everywhere. We really liked having the 4 pool options. The secret garden and grounds were lovely; took lots of pictures. We enjoyed the Thai cooking class and couldn't wait to get back home to repeat making the dishes. We will return to Thavorn Palm Beach Resort again.

The hotel seems nice enough, but we experienced so many issues with it. 1. This is a “VIP” hotel but no amenities were offered. 2. The place is a maze and even the restaurant staff said we were placed in the farthest most area of the hotel. Bell from the restaurant had to walk us to our room as we would never have found it on our own. 3. They’re under a lot of renovation but we should have been advised of it when we checked in. Even better, it should be noted on their Expedia page. 4. These renovations caused power to go out intermittently, so no AC, TV or in-room phone access to the front desk. Calling on my mobile didn’t work as no one picked up. So, when I needed to access front desk or room service, I had to take the very long walk to get access to service. 5. On the second day, we wanted to use the pool waterslides before checking out but was told it was not operational due to power outages. 6. The “offered daily” pizza classes had to be ordered 1-day in advance but that was not disclosed in the hotel info. Bell, the very nice gal from the restaurant, tried to accommodate but it was too late in the day also due to power outages. 7. The housekeeping is OK, but we opened a packet of shower cap and found the box empty. 8. Hopefully it’s due to renovations…the shower water came out brownish. 9. Upon sharing our experience at check-out, front desk did nothing to retain loyalty. Not even a free pool day pass. Nothing. Not likely to return soon.

Huge hotel. Been around for many years but the rooms are updated which is good. 3 different pools all with bars offering happy hours and breakfast buffet is good quality. Beach right across the road is clean and peaceful. Short walk off the property to restaurants, stores, bars nearby. Lots of activities for kids as well, petting zoo and kids club. Good choice to stay here.

This is a nice 4 star resort with beautiful gardens and landscape. Multiple pools provide sufficient space for guests during off peak season. Water slides provided lots of fun for the kids. The breakfast buffet was very nice with a good spread from continental, Indian and local choices, changed everyday. Quality of food is equivalent to a 4 star resort, with spread and variety almost comparable to a 5 star resort. The gardens, pools and common area are nicely kept albeit dated, and staff friendly and helpful. There's a small animal petting area which my kids loved, as well as daily activities to keep guests occupied. And now the cons; the resort is dated and most of the buildings reflected so, with stained and weathered walls and tiles everywhere. The rooms are old with tiny TV (<32"?) compared to today's standards, with broken sound system in my room. The AC was old, loud and produced an incessant drone that affected our sleep. The shower did not have a constant supply of hot water so showers alternated between cold and warm every 30 seconds. There are a lot of ongoing upgrade works in the resort which can be a little noisy if you're staying in the resort during the day.

Lovely clean room with an awesome size balcony. The pool and waterslides are great for kids, even the 3yo was happy going down on their own. Breakfast was one of the best buffet breakfasts we’ve had, even after many resorts and Thailand visits. The beach and swell is strong, however nice to sit on the beach and have mornin strolls before the wind picks up. Kids club and petting zoo is great also, animals are well loved and fed! My only gripe with the rooms would be outdated TV’s and power plugs don’t have usb plug in options, apart from these minimal things, a lovely stay.

Slides pool and petting zoo are superb for family with children. Good location whereby marts, eateries, shops are just a short walking distance. Beach is just across the road. My kids are so happy that they do not wanna leave the hotel. Our room was so nicely decorated for my girl’s birthday. Couldn’t thank the hotel staffs enough. We love the bed, everyone had such a good sleep. Amazing stay.

I was there for my daughters wedding at the resort.Our room werent cleaned everyday and fresh towels,shampoo etc were not given and they lacked in communication and we always had to follow up. Bed was comfortable staff was always very polite but overall if i had to go to phuket again i would not choose to stay there again as it was was quite stressful with the language barrier.

3/5 Stars Overall, this is a nice hotel with friendly and welcoming staff. The property itself is pleasant, and the breakfast buffet was good with a decent selection. The general cleanliness was acceptable, and we appreciated the kindness of the team throughout our stay. However, there were a few issues that unfortunately left us with a slightly sour aftertaste. The main problem was housekeeping. On multiple days, the cleaning staff did not come between 10 AM and 4 PM, which is typically when guests are out by the pool or away from the room. Even though we placed the “Please clean my room” sign on the door for about six hours, our room was not serviced. This happened on two days. Instead of cleaning, we were given vouchers worth 150 baht per day (300 baht total). While we appreciated the gesture, the vouchers turned out to be frustrating. They stated that they were valid at all beverage and food outlets, so we assumed this included the minibar in our room. However, when checking out, we were informed that the vouchers did not apply to the minibar — something that was not specified on the voucher itself. As a result, we had to pay extra. The amount was not significant, but it was disappointing because the compensation for not receiving housekeeping already felt minimal compared to the cost of the stay. Additionally, during checkout, there was confusion regarding the minibar charges. The minibar contents did not match what was listed, and we were initially charged for item

Hotel is OK. The room was clean. Beds are very hard. Stayed at a standard room w king bed which is 2 beds put together. The hotel is outdated. It’s definitely family friendly. Kids everywhere even in the pool bar area. Kids jumping and splashing everywhere. Food is average. Do not order a Caesar salad unless you want it with a fried egg. Not the best hotel , not the worst. You have to cross the street to go to the beach. Then you have to pay extra for umbrellas and chair. Ok hotel for a short stay. 1-2 days max. The hotels are better in Kata Beach or Kata noi. Phuket is very busy. If you can, stay at Phe Phe Island. This was my first time going to Thailand. Next time I will stay there. Thailand is a beautiful and people are very warm and welcoming.

Loved this hotel, the pool and waterslides were fun, restaurants were good, coffee and icecream on site, room was good- bunk beds and super king bed. The only negative thing about the whole time we were there was the flies on the buffet breakfast. They were everywhere!

The property it self is looking a rather run down. Rooms are dated with very hard mattresses. Staff throughout the facility were amazing, friendly and great English. Works were being performed in pool area with alide however other pools had sharp edged tiles, missing grout and again run down. Kids play centre was no bigger than a single car garage and became very crowded at times. Centrally located along Karon beach with a short stroll in either direction to market stalls, food and convenience stores.

Hotel tres joli, personnel tres attentif et disponible. Nous avons pu faire imprimer nos cartes d embarquement la veille de notre depart à 23heures. Nos chambres connecting donnaient sur la route principale ce qui engendrait du bruit impossible de se mettre sur le balcon pour profiter de la belle vue sur la plage. A part cela, la chambre etait tres propre faite tous les jours. Le petit dejeuner en buffet etait tres copieux et varie, pour tous les gouts. Tres bon sejour.

We were going to go to different parts of Phuket at a different hotel but we canceled the next hotel to stay at Thavron longer! Fantastic rooms, staff, location, food. Breakfast is great with lots of selection. Note that there seems to not be lots of other breakfast options around. It is across the road from the beach. They give you beach towels that you can chance out. Staff is so kind and accommodating. Rooms have huge beds, AC, quiet. Front staff will get you ride to anywhere for better than the grab or bolt apps. Shops and bars right down the street. Lots of selection. Great pools. Highly highly recommend! We are coming back with the family in a couple years.

We stayed here for one night before moving on to another property. The room was very tired. My daughter had a roll away bed which was so u comfortable she was unable to sleep in it. The beds are very hard as to are the pillows. The service did not live up to the hotel rating at all. Breakfast was very mediocre. The surface around the pool is so sharp and hard on your feet.

Our first impression of the hotel was very pleasant. We got a big welcome from the receptionist and the bell man carried our luggage to a clean hotel room. The food and the drinks we have bought at the resorts has been delicious and the staff is always smiling and ready to help whenever we needed it. The only thing we didn’t like about the resort was the petting zoo. For everyone who cares about animals and know how to read their signs/language, you will spot stressed animals since children are allowed to do whatever they want with them. We wish to give a special thanks to Eddie the bell man that was very helpful and cheerful to us at every occasion. A, Aui and the trainee Aun at the pool bar which made the best Daiquiris we have ever tasted! We loved our stay here and can’t wait to be back again!

Great place to stay with a central location to walk to other beaches and small towns. Great food on main road and easy stroll into Kata for shopping and the Kata Markets. Great daily breakfast and pools are fantastic. Beach access is straight accross the road and the beach is the cleanest in the area.

Brilliant hotel for a family with a 2 year old and 7 year old. Location excellent with restaurants and beach within a very small distance. Kids loved the waterslides. Buffet breakfast was fresh with lots of options. Would stay again.

Excellent resort if you have a family and want a well designed and plenty to do resort. Lovely coffee, ice cream shop. My only gripe would be it’s a shame food and drinks are a lot more expensive inside the resort. Made you spend out of the resort a lot, mainly because we were a family of 9

We had a great time and in general the hotel was fabulous. It is however a little tired in places. They are currently undergoing building work on a new restaurant and although this has no impact on leisure facilities, the hotel does suffer from not having additional restaurant options in the evening. All the Staff we encountered were fantastic and i would have no hesitation in returning.

The overall stay was fantastic. Awesome property. Close to the beach. Clean. Good and comfy Beds (Family Fun Room with bunk beds). Kids friendly. My kids enjoyed the slides. Being a vegetarian there was a very very limited food options and very few Thai options overall. We wanted to eat Thai in the hotel but there were not many options which was a bit surprising. But there's lot of restaurants around the hotel which covers it.

Loved this hotel, the pool and waterslides were fun, restaurants were good, coffee and icecream on site, room was good- bunk beds and super king bed. The only negative thing about the whole time we were there was the flies on the buffet breakfast. They were everywhere!

This is a nice 4 star resort with beautiful gardens and landscape. Multiple pools provide sufficient space for guests during off peak season. Water slides provided lots of fun for the kids. The breakfast buffet was very nice with a good spread from continental, Indian and local choices, changed everyday. Quality of food is equivalent to a 4 star resort, with spread and variety almost comparable to a 5 star resort. The gardens, pools and common area are nicely kept albeit dated, and staff friendly and helpful. There's a small animal petting area which my kids loved, as well as daily activities to keep guests occupied. And now the cons; the resort is dated and most of the buildings reflected so, with stained and weathered walls and tiles everywhere. The rooms are old with tiny TV (<32"?) compared to today's standards, with broken sound system in my room. The AC was old, loud and produced an incessant drone that affected our sleep. The shower did not have a constant supply of hot water so showers alternated between cold and warm every 30 seconds. There are a lot of ongoing upgrade works in the resort which can be a little noisy if you're staying in the resort during the day.
