Hotel Retama Machupicchu

Breakfast was good, if you are staying to hike macchu picchu, get in line at 6:00 and you will grt a ticket. Took me 3 hrs wait

Great location, friendly staff, clean rooms, good breakfast. Very nice people… most Peruvian, specially in this area of the country.

Family of 5 from Minnesota, stayed one night. Breakfast was great, clean and well presented. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff was excellent! We left our bags with them to go up to Machu Picchu and after we returned, they let us hang out in the lobby until our train arrived. Very, very friendly. Great value, would recommend 100%!

Great hospitality

The location of the hotel was at the top of a very strenuous uphill hike. The hotel lobby did not look like the photos. The staff were lovely but not always at the desk when we needed them. They provided us with a fan when requested but the fan wasn't working. After having it fixed once, it broke down again and we made do without it. The bathroom is very small and you had to turn on the tap marked 'C' for hot water. Breakfast was a good spread. We learned from another review that we had to ask them for scrambled eggs which they then provided. Overall, the stay was just okay, but the people were lovely.
