The hotel’s main advantage is its excellent location in Chinatown, with very convenient MRT access to all parts of Singapore. However, visitors should be aware that there can be rather unpleasant smells in the surrounding streets. Unfortunately, the hotel itself was a major disappointment. Our room was very poorly cleaned: the carpet was extremely dirty, and the toilet and bathroom were in an unacceptable condition. The soundproofing was also terrible—we could hear absolutely everything from the neighbouring room, as if the guests next door were staying in our own room. In addition, the air conditioning did not work properly. It felt more like a noisy fan and did not cool the room effectively. The convenient location is the only reason I am giving this hotel two stars. The standard of cleanliness, soundproofing and comfort needs significant improvement.

First of all, our room was hidden away behind the same door as the cleaning supplies, we were very confused when trying to find it. Second it was very small and not like the pictures at all. We felt like we were sleeping in a closet with only a small space to actually stand, a small bathroom and the bed. We did not even open our suitcases very much as there was no space for it. There was also no window in the room even though we could clearly hear the street behind the wall, the room also smelled very bad. Our room was also very dirty with both hair, ants and stains on the bed and bedding made it very uncomfortable to sleep in. The plug for charging phone and such was behind a plate in the wall which folded onto the bed, this was very smart unless you had to charge it while sleeping as the chargers could not fit with the plate being folded onto the wall. Very unpractical! The checkin was also very confusing and done via an app which was not very smart, also they charge a deposit which makes no sense. All together a very bad experience, we will not come back and would not recommend for anyone travelling to Singapore. For the same price many other hotels are much better and we wish we had chosen differently.

Location location location. Nicely centralized in Chinatown. Easy access to the MRT. Walking reachable to Newton Food Center. Little bit more to Lau Pa Sat too.

The ‘hotel’ is not a hotel. It’s a hostel. The room was allegedly for 6 people but was smaller than the rooms they sell for 4 people with a smaller bathroom and no access to light. I have never stayed in a room that made me feel claustrophobic before, until I stayed here! I have stayed in hostels across Europe and can honesty say, this does not even hit the bar of a a one star hostel in the red light district of Amsterdam! Nothing positive to say about the so called ‘family’ hotel! Avoid!
