The location is excellent! Room was good size, better than expected. Unfortunately, on day 2 (of total 5 nights), huge renovation started, making the stay rather uncomfortable. They should probably have closed down a few days instead or offered a huge discount. Thanks to incredibly welcoming and understanding staff, the overall experience is very good, as they arranged for a refund for almost half our stay! We could definitely stay here again when finished renovation.

There was no sign saying we were at the hotel. We had to be dropped off a block away. The staff was nice a helpful but did not want to call us a cab.

There was structural building work going on when we were there. So for our full weeks holiday we were woken up to Jack hammering and smashing if glass and tiles (except for Sunday), staring before 7am which wasn't great for our relaxing holiday. Staff didn't even let us know this was happening when we checked in. Good location and the room was also nice. Just a shame about the building works

The staff was friendly and the room was very clean. I had to open the window to cool off in my room as I could only heat the room in November. I think there was construction here as I heard some loud bangs. It woke me up one morning. Overall, it was a good stay.

The staff at the hotel were so welcoming and kind. They quickly sorted an issue with our room- originally we were put in the wrong room and when we told them they immediately sorted the issue and we were moved to the correct room. All staff were so friendly and helpful and they spoke really good English. We enjoyed the coffee machine at the hotel which was also really convenient and we also loved the little patio space outside which was nice to enjoy in the evenings. The area felt slightly unsafe but this is not really a fault of the hotel. The hotel did feel safe although because the door would lock at night and you would have to use your room key to open the main hotel door. Sometimes noise from the streets surrounding was a bit loud but not really a big issue, especially if you’re not easily woken up. The interior of the hotel downstairs has been newly refurbished and is really nicely designed with beautiful lamps and tables- it made the space really enjoyable to have a coffee or read a book in.

Good modern room with double bed for single occupancy. Walking distance to universitat metro station and 10 minutes walk to palaca de catalunya square. Restaurants and mini supermarkets nearby. Hotel offers free pasteties, hot tea and coffee and juice in the morning and throughout the day. Very comfortable bed and modern room with clean bathroom. Advice to walk on the main road from the metro station to the horel at night and avoid the narrow street due to the possibility of petty thief and pickpockets. A good hotel to base yourself for a few nights whilst exploring Barcelona.

We only stayed one night instead of the 4 planned nights. The hotel lobby was very run down, so not a great first impression. The hotel room was fine and looked similar to the pictures (a bit more used/run down, but that’s expected) One of the critical points that made us change hotel after just one night, was the fact that they had construction work going on, which started around 7-8 in the morning making it impossible to sleep in and it was still on going when we checked out. It was constant banging and drilling. Another critical point, was the area. When we arrived around 11 in the morning, the area seemed decent, not nice but okay. However, when we came back to the hotel around 10 at night it was feeling super unsafe. In the street where you enter the hotel, there were at least 5 homeless people laying around and right next door to the hotel there were people openly doing drugs on the street. The next day when we left the hotel a lot of homeless people and what looked like addicts, where still in the street of hotel and nearby streets. Very unsafe area and would never recommend booking a hotel in this neighbourhood, especially if solo travelling. The service of the staff was very good, so no complaints there. We requested a room with a bathtub, which they provided. They volunteered to helped with the baggage as we were only one present at the check in with two peoples baggage. They were still friendly when we wanted to check out before the planned stay.

Tive uma experiência positiva desde o check in com o Enrico (muito simpático) que me ofereceu café e me permitiu ter acesso ao quarto antes do horário + a Elena é ótima também e me ajudou em diversas dúvidas + o café muito bem servido (pago a parte e valor justo 12 euros) + quarto com serviço diário de limpeza ótimo + estrutura do quarto e conforto + adorei a máquina de café e a água a vontade no serviço do hotel

Very very clean hotel. The breakfast room sparkled, nice choices for breakfast plus eggs available. Staff is courteous and helpful. The bed was comfortable and we got extra blankets when we asked. An added shelf on the bathroom or room wall would be nice.

Die Unterkunft hat uns sehr gefallen. Sie war sehr zentral und man han die Metro in der Nähe, auch ist man zu Fuss schnell unterwegs. Die Auststattung der Unterkunft war gut. Das Bett sehr bequem und wir haben jeden Tag ein frisches gereinigtes Zimmer gehabt. Nur am Abend ist die Gegend unsicher.

The cleanness of the room should be improved (even under the bed). From the pictures on the website, it was not shown that the sink and the shower were in the middle of the bedroom (shower fenced by transparent glasses) without an efficient vapor fan. This cause the entire room to be steamy when taking a shower, and force you to turn on the AC (not very eco-friendly). Anyway the staff was very kind and available to satisfy all other needs.

I loved this hotel the area was a tad sketchy but the hotel front desk Elena was amazing! The only caution is the shower is not a private shower so couples only!

Great location, fresh hotel, lovely helpful staff! We really enjoyed our stay. The ONLY complain we have is that we got a room with covered windows, so there was no way to see out on the street. We stayed on the first floor. Low daylight. But the room itself was lovely. So nice.

The staff was amazing here! Probably my best experience in any hotel and I travel a lot. Very friendly and very helpful. Just wow! The hotel itself is nice, newly renovated and good walkable location. I'd recommend it to anyone

We hadden een heel fijn verblijf. We waren vroeg geland en mochten ook meteen 's ochtends op de kamer. Super vriendelijk personeel, heerlijke bedden en lekker ontbijt.

The staff were very friendly and aimed to please at all times. They were pleasant and very helpful. I will definitely recommend this place. Thanks to Enrico, Trish and the rest of the staff for being so kind. More power!

This was unfortunately the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. I booked for 3 nights but ended up leaving after just one. The location felt extremely unsafe. The street outside constantly smelled of urine, and there were drug users and homeless people loitering around the entrance throughout the day. The hotel is only a few metres away from a very unsafe neighbourhood. Soundproofing was non-existent — I could hear people yelling, glass bottles breaking, and other disturbances all night long, making it impossible to sleep. There was also an issue with the toilet not flushing properly. The room itself was fairly clean and the staff were genuinely kind and accommodating, which I truly appreciated. Unfortunately, everything else made my short stay unbearable, and I would not recommend this hotel.

Really old part of town which was ok. But it did stink a bit like piss. Noisy outside at night. A bit of a walk for transportation. Would stay again but be aware.

It was in the perfect location and very walkable to a lot of main tourist attractions. The staff was super nice and cleaned our room regularly.

Bom hotel. Prédio reformado. Decoração agradável e quarto confortável. O quarto não tem frigobar e o hotel não dispões de serviço de quarto ou restaurante. Disponibiliza água e café na recepção. A localização é estratégica mas o bairro é altamente degradado. É desconfortável circular pelas ruas estreitas, até de dia, pois a sensação é de insegurança.

What a gorgeous hotel. Every detail has been thought of. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The location is convenient but sometimes the surroundings can be a bit rowdy.
