The restaurant is really good and service is impeccable. The inn is a little old-fashioned, which is part of its charm. However, the shower could be better maintained, as there was some rust and visible black mold stains. Despite that, the room is clean and the bed is very comfortable. I would recommend choosing a room with a lake view, as the view is magnificent.

This hotel has tremendous potential. It is in a lovely location with beautiful grounds and view and has a nice pool, small hot tub and sauna. Sadly, it needs a major refresh and management attitude change. We booked the day before a king suite and because the hotel is quite isolated the number 1 selling feature for us was the onsite restaurant. It got glowing reviews. We booked the non-refundable room. Late that night, we got a message saying the restaurant was closed when we were there and no food was available. We missed this message sent after we were in bed. Regardless, our room was non-refundable. On arrival we are told our room is on the third floor. No luggage carts, no elevator. We are late 6os and early 70s. The hotel itself is in rough shape. The carpet on the stairs is fraying and worn. Our room had the cheapest furniture with fraying upholstery, a huge hole in the sheer curtain, and just generally everything is in need of an update. The positives were a comfortable bed and the breakfast the next morning where our server was bright and cheery (didn't know we needed reservations for breakfast as we weren't told on check in). Again, in the restaurant, the blinds were broken and the floor was completely worn. However the food was great and our server saved our stay here. On check out we were told they were short staffed so even staff were not sure what amenities were open. Really sad because this place could be an absolute gem.

We stayed in a 2 storey room with views over the river, the beds were comfy and the room clean. Dinner in the restaurant was amazing. The reception staff were lovely and helpful. The pool bar lady serving on Saturday was so good and made fantastic cocktails. The pool was a perfect temperature for a dip on a hot day. We really enjoyed our stay - thank you

Beautiful location and kind staff. There is no elevator at the hotel and the hot tub is outside. Things I missed to check when booking.
