We arrived at 10pm and after checking in, getting to our room was difficult as the lighting was limited to the parking lot. It was darking walking down the stairs to the lower level and there was NO lighting on the backside to see the room number to find our room.

I had a very good stay. The room was clean , cool and comfortable, the maid I encountered was very helpful and the property peaceful. Upon arriving to check in there was a couple waiting. I hailed the clerk from the back to assist all of us. In my bathroom, the stopper on the tub didn’t work. And, 2 of the three ice machines I tried to use were not able to dispense ice.

.the front desk people were very friendly love the grounds, lots of places to walk to , fun watching all the boats moving around. the pool was very inviting. lots of picnic tables around the resort to stop. clean rooms with a balcony. they have a dock to stop at when staying there to. loved the place will be back

It's a beautiful property. The buildings are tired. The rooms were updated and very clean be the general structures and mechanicals are outdated and worn out. Poor outdoor lighting. Ice machines that haven't operated in ages. Loud, old air conditioning units. Walkways, sidewalks stairways are shifting and need replacing. I'm surprised a State Park owned facility is so inaccessible to anyone with a handicap.

State run facility. It is old hence the good vs great on the actual room. All issues except the very low flush toilet😌 were remedied by staff upon our request: tub w/o stopper; no TV signal; no soap. Lovely pool and main hall facilities!!! Beautiful lake—great access to beach, boat launch, biking or waking trails. Way better than a hotel along the highway enroute home❣️

The bathroom was disgusting. There was feces on the rim of the toilet and the shower curtain had mildew all over it. Luckily, we only stayed one night and it was late or we would have asked for someone to clean the bathroom.

There was an overwhelming unpleasant smell as I walked in. Everything is old and outdated. There is not enough room to move around the bathtub/toilet. There was other people’s hair still in the bathtub. The mattress is springing and uncomfortable, there are stains on the sheets and towels smelled. It’s filthy and uncomfortable. I would not stay here again.

Rooms need to be deep cleaned. Dead wasp on carpet, rust, dirty grout. Light bulb burnt out. Wasp nests above many room doors to the outside. Grounds need weed wacked. Patio furniture needs hosed off. But on a brighter note, the lobby has an amazing view as do the grounds and the breakfast buffet had an abundant variety and was reasonably priced and delicious!

Staff was very attentive and friendly. Air conditioning in our room did not work, even after maintenance came and “fixed” it. We had to leave the balcony door open all night. Thankfully there was a screen door. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Restaurant food was average. We had called ahead about using a conference room for a meeting, but it was not set up. We had to find and set up our own chairs.

Great place to stay Staff were fantastic. We were there during a severe weather outbreak including tornadoes. Kept us informed from the moment we checked in regarding safety protocols. Even called our room to check on us. Dining room staff even provided us breakfast right at closing time-treated like royalty as we were the only customers. Highly recommend staying at Ky Dam Village

The property stated they didn’t not receive the Expedia reservation so the only room they had available was not waterfront, which is what we reserved, but across the road in a building rented out for someone else’s family reunion. They sat and smoked/talked right outside our window late at night and very early in the morning. We ended up getting up to go home by 6am.

Arrived at 3pm hoping to check in a few min early to get ready for an event at the local high school with my 80 yr old father and 4 yr old daughter. Staff saw and was made aware of our situation but insisted we could not check in until 4pm despite most of the resort being empty. Poor form, poor value for a sub par product.

The property was beautiful! The cabin was spacious and had everything we needed. I'm sure this has been mentioned previously, but there is no bathroom near the pool. Not only did my kids need to walk dripping wet, up the stairs through the entire facility to use the toilet, but there was nowhere to change. The front desk lady told us the beach was walking distance... but we were in a cabin and there were no sidewalks from the cabins to the main facility or beach along a fairly busy roadway... It's a fantastic vacation spot, but it's definitely not walking or biking friendly for the cabin folks.

My only two issues were, no paper towels in the cabin and restaurant was only offering a buffet. We would have rather ordered off the menu. Buffets are full of germs with everyone touching all the serving utensils. In a post Covid World, I would think buffets would have gone away.

Took a long time to check in. Lady was nice but couldn’t figure out which room. Got all set up and then she ran out to the car and said somebody was already in the room she gave us. Also, it was not advertised the restaurant was closed for our entire stay. (Sunday night and leaving Monday). It just wasn’t up to par..

This property was updated recently, and shower had ample pressure and LOTS of hot water. As far as the Kentucky Parks program goes KY Dam Village is the shining star of those I have visited. We ate in the resort restaurant, and it was very nice and reasonably priced. I went to school years ago in the area, and this was a really nice trip to reconnect with the area (Land Between the Lakes) and all it has to offer. Very happy memories created to go with my earlier ones. I will return.

Fun and nice overall however we had a big puddle of water leaking from AC and they told us tanks for letting us know when we called.. we had to just keep putting towels down to make sure no one slipped but overall kids had fun and the fishing was great… the food at lodge was good but VERY expensive.. 2 adults 4 kids and our buffet was 160$ I was not expecting that.

Lovely place in a nice spot on the lake. The grand lobby and restaurant in the resort were wonderful with panoramic views of Kentucky Lake. The room i stayed in was spacious with very comfy beds, lots of pillows and good A/C! I enjoyed taking walks around the property. It was a bit of a commute to get to my lower level, lake view room but the weather was beautiful so it was fine. Id definitely return!
