Coeo Pod Hostel Beatas

Stayed for three nights across a long weekend for the marathon. Location is great, short walk to the train to/from the airport and close to the beach/harbour as well. Pods are certainly small/cosy, but have everything you need. Toilet facilities and showers are well maintained. Common spaces are great, and were often quiet when I was there, with space and the facilities (fridge, toaster, kettle, microwave — all in a kitchenette) to make food and chill out there. Staff were super helpful, my Spanish is awful but they made me feel very at home. Well worth the money!

For the price it is so worth it! As a solo woman travelling I was very weary about staying somewhere that wasn’t safe but this place is so secure. You must have a keycard to access the unit where your pod is, as well as a key card for your specific pod. The whole property was extremely clean. Also made me feel safe knowing there is 24/7 desk support. Front desk also help with booking airport transfers and directions to places. The showers are private and you are only sharing with people in your unit. There is also a private area WITHIN the shower where you can get dressed if you’re not comfortable walking around your unit in a towel. Toilets were also very large and clean. It was also a safe space to meet people during my travels. They have a cute little meet up night every evening and it’s such a great opportunity to chat with other travellers. Lastly, the location is right in the city centre and everywhere is very walkable. During my entire trip I only ordered a taxi to get me to and from the airport. Other than that I walked most of the way. Overall really amazing place to stay. Staff are so helpful and friendly too.

La estadia fue buena, los baños son compartido entre hombres y mujeres no es como en otros hosteles que hay baños para hombres y mujeres. El hostel no tiene cocina para poder cocinar solo ofrece un microondas.

A great budget-ish place for young travellers. Pods are quiet enough and generally in good condition. However the desk dont seem to have socket for working on laptop etc so you ll need to go go the communal areas for that. The stairs to climb up is a particular failure because the ladders are quite thin without much for the feet to balance on. Nevertheless, the location is perfect and the property generally feels well run and looked after despite some occasional scratch marks on walls. Staff are very friendly and there is a lift available to get to other floors

I stayed here for four days. First time I have stayed in a hostel in Spain, so I was slightly apprehensive. My room was just as shown in the photos. The bed was comfortable while the room was just big enough for one. The motion sensor lighting was a bit annoying. It turned itself off after short intervals. If I did video chats for example, I had to get up from my chair. The airconditioner worked great. I could not increase the temperature for some reason though. I can't review the cleaning service for the rooms sadly. However, the common bathrooms were cleaned every day. The staff was great, so no complaints there. They gave me a proper welcome plus all the information I needed. I liked that I had a kitchen available to make tea or coffee. Now for the best part. The hotel was in the center of Malaga. There was a museum RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET for starters! Moreover, the Picasso museum was a short walk away. The shopping street and several bars were less then ten minutes away by foot. I found this a nice place to stay for four days. The only things I disliked were the lights and lack of heat. The location of the hotel, staff plus the kitchen more than made up for it.

Heel goed hostel op een paar dagen in Malaga te verblijven. Heel goeie service en zeer lieve mensen. Kamers waren top. Kleine nadeel is dat de pods niet geluidsdicht zijn. In de ochtend kan dat wat lastig zijn als er mensen vroeg opstaan. Voor de rest is het perfect. Heel leuke activiteiten door de hostel zelf georganiseerd. Alles is te doen op wandel afstand wat perfect is. Zeker een aanrader!!!

Fantastisk Hostel - stedet har alt hvad man skal bruge. Fint værelse, fine opholdsarealer - med mulighed for at lave kaffe og spise egen mad. Der er også en fin cafe. Stedet ligger midt i den gamle bydel og har det flinkeste personale.

Clean and comfortable accommodation centrally located, however the cleanliness and maintenance of the rooms requires improvement.

Ein Top Hostel für meine erste Hostel Erfahrung war es, ruhig und sicher. Es war ruhiger als in jedem normalen Hotel, von den Nachbarn her. Die Zimmer sind zum Glück Einzelzimmer zu dem günstigen Preis. Ebenfalls gut fand ich das oft die Sanitären Anlagen gereinigt wurden. Auch Abends um 23 Uhr wurde es noch gereinigt, damit alles frisch ist am nächsten morgen. Das ist natürlich um 23 uhr für 5 Minuten etwas laut, aber dafür sauber.

The place looks clean but the bed bugs were a serious problem. Staff is friendly on checkin but turned rude when they had to deal with anything.

El mejor hostel en el que he estado. Tener habitación privada y a la vez estar en un espacio donde puedes estar con otros viajeros y participar en múltiples actividades me ha parecido genial. Las instalaciones estaban perfectas y todo super limpio. El pod aunque es pequeño es suficiente para una persona. Me sorprendió que a pesar de haber varios huéspedes no había nada de ruido, así que se duerme genial. El personal muy atento y amable.La localización en pleno centro es fabulosa para poder recorrer los lugares más turísticos, además no queda lejos del puerto. Muy satisfecha con la experiencia allí

Nice quiet small private rooms, where you sleep very good. Only the temperature control is not quite working yet, so it was to hot. Common area very nice, as well as location.

Love the pod concept. More privacy. The women only section was perfect for my comfort. Had its own bathroom in the section. Clean and comfortable. The only complaint is there is no air circulation and every single person slams their door no matter the time of day.

All good, friendly staff and very clean. The single pods are alright, but there’s no airflow/no ac. It was very clammy in the room

As a solo traveller looking to explore the area for 48 hours this accommodation provided the ideal base. I booked a lower double pod. I did not plan to spend much time in the hotel so the compact room was fine. What I liked: - The bed was comfy and the lack of windows meant it was dark and I got a good nights sleep. - The shared toilets, sinks and showers were always clean and available - I never had to queue despite the fact 8 rooms (upto 14 people) could have been sharing them. - Very little noise from neighbouring rooms. Where it could improve: - The room needed minor maintenance. The walls were worn and where screws had been removed the touchup was in a different colour - The aircon temperature was controlled centrally for all rooms. I found the room too hot in the day - The room only had one physical plug socket and this was at the back of the bed. Whilst the room had 2x USB-A plugs all my devices use USB-C or plugs. The plug socket was unreliable for charging and items had larger items had to stay on the bed whilst charging. Extra sockets are definitely needed in the room. - There was an odd smell in the room, despite the corridors smelling clean. - Room lights had energy saving mode and automatically switched off whilst lounging on the bed. This was very annoying as I waited for devices to charge. Overall the hostel worked for me the limited time I was visiting Malaga but I would not recommend it for couples or people wanting to relax in the room.

My family (4 adults) stayed in Coeo for our one night in Malaga. The location is perfect. Easy walk to restaurants and area attractions. Far enough off the main drag for quiet sleeping. We had a family room which wasn't large but it used space well. We also enjoyed the 8 euro breakfast in the morning. I'll stay here again!

Das meiste war in Ordnung aber ich habe Bisse gekriegt (wahrscheinlich Bettwanzen) und das wurde nicht ernstgenommen. Sie haben mir mehrmals gesagt, dass es sicher nur Gelsenstiche sind, aber die Bisse sehen anders aus und sind immer noch ersichtlich. Schade, dass sie meine Angelegenheit nicht ernstgenommen haben.

WOW - My four day stay at this Pod Hostel was nothing short of EXCELLENT - From the welcome to the farewell was amazing - the staff were attentive to every need and the Hostel itself is unique and full of love - the decor is fresh, modern with a twist of spirituality-the pods are quaint - clean and everything you need from a stay - the icing on the cake - the cherry being the location - close to everything I wanted to see, with the beach within walking distance - First class - thank you 🙏 I will be back ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Es war sehr sauber und modern eingerichtet, auch die Aufenthaltsräume waren super. Die Lage ist optimal direkt in der Altstadt, umgeben von vielen Restaurants und zum Strand muss man auch nicht weit laufen. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Really enjoyed the ambient, the facilities and the location. Didn't like the advertising for gluten free food that didn't exist. My breakfast options were limited or none.

Clean, modern, very comfortable beds. Almost like an upscale pod hostel! The bar downstairs is nice too. The hostel is located in the main tourist area of Malaga so everything is pricey around that area, you'll need to ask staff recommemdations for budget restaurants. Short 5-10 minute walks to the Alcazaba, the Cathedral, Picassos museum, Larios street. Not that close to the airport (you'll have to walk 10-15 mins then take the bus or train) but its close to the intercity train and bus stations. Overall I really recommend it!
