Place is decent in order to save money. I little out of the main tourist area, but easy to access by Tuk tuk.

I had a wonderful stay at Posada Don José. The room was spacious and clean, the staff were incredibly kind and attentive, and the garden is simply beautiful. The hotel is a bit farther from downtown, but it’s only about a 15-minute walk, and there are plenty of tuk tuks passing by. The breakfast was also delicious. The only minor inconvenience was that my room was close to the entrance, so I could hear some road noise (though I eventually got used to it). One night, a few guests were locked out and kept knocking on the gate, which was a bit disruptive. Aside from that, I highly recommend this hotel. The hospitality is unmatched, there is reliable hot water with good shower pressure, and everything is very clean and well organized.

Everything is spotless, exceptionally well cared for, and the staff are genuinely warm, friendly, and helpful. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming, making it a perfect place to stay. A small delicious breakfast is available for a small extra charge and is well worth it. The location is okay: just a 10-minute walk to the town center and about 20 minutes to the ferry docks.
