It was a nightmare to approach the property since GPS did not know how to avoid the road construction of the street entrance and stuff could not give help either. Otherwise it was a decent hotel, with convenient parking, after one learns that the nearby parking lots are assigned to residents. The $20 breakfast does not worth more than $10 but there are several konditoreis and other cheap stores to eat breakfast. The surrounding streets are very steep which characterizes the whole city. Yet most interesting places, like restaurants, train station, COOP store, old town, are easily accessible (via the steep roads though).

Dette hotellet ble først valgt pga pris og at det var veldig nært det som ble beskrevet som sentrum av Lausanne eller rettere sagt sentral banen. Det var ganske så bratt oppover til hotellet som ligger i en liten gate. Rommet var helt enkelt med en enkel seng. Kjøleskap var ett pluss til kald drikke. Heisen var den minste jeg har tatt. Sovekomforten av super. WIFI var bra frem til siste kveld da ramla den ut uten at dem klarte å fikse det. Dusjen grei. Masse skap plass så fikk endelig pakket ut alt. Kort vei til transport. Fikk gratis transport på byens offentlige transport for alle dagene. Jeg fikk ikke rommet når jeg kom en liten time før tiden. Så gikk en runde opp i gammelbyen og det var steike bratt. Når jeg fikk rommet var det bare rett opp og pakke ut litt og så ut på tur. Det er veldig stille når tiden for soving kommer. Jeg fikk ett ok kart. Wifi var bra til siste kveld da ramla nettet ut det var skuffende. Heisen var den minste jeg noensinne har tatt på jorden men den funket. Rom service fikset rommet når jeg var ute om dagene. Men synes dem starta tidlig å vaske rom før kl 0900. Det var vel rundt 50 rom på hotellet og hadde en følelse at det var ganske gammelt. Masse skap plass på rommet det var kjekt. This is a wonderful old hotel. We stayed on the top floor with a balcony with views of the lake. Very clean rooms and very rustic elevator. Walkable to everything if you are able to climb hills. Train and metro 5 minutes down the hill.

We really had a wonderful stay here. The private garden is very cute. There's no air conditioning but a nice fan is provided. The room is spacious and the furnishing is tasteful and very comfortable. The windows also open, which is a plus. There's adequate working space in the room and the bathroom was very good too. Will definitely return when needed.

We saw a little more of Lausanne than we, thanks to some road work and detours. But once we made our way to Hotel Elite, everything was great for a quick visit. The 5-minute walk from the train station with luggage turned into 25 minutes, but it paid off with a comfortable, spacious room in this handsome hotel — with an elevator. We had our choice of restaurants within a short walk that night and were on the edge of the historic City Center for a walking tour the next day. The route to the Cathedral has some steep stretches, so we used the convenient Metro to reach it and work our way back down hill. Our stay included a hearty, hot breakfast in a cozy dining room. And the manager bailed me out. I booked the wrong night, and she shifted it to the next night at no extra charge. Thanks, Hotel Elite.

The staff was so very friendly and helpful. Our room was perfect for us with a small refrigerator and wine glasses! We sat in the garden area adjacent to the hotel and enjoyed our breakfasts as well as wine in the evening. The beds were comfortable and we slept very well each night because the hotel is located in a quiet area! The metro system is conveniently located and easy to navigate! Wonderful coffee shop right around the corner. Highly recommend this quaint hotel

J'avais une petite chambre avec un lit simple vu que j'étais seule avec une petite vue si je me pensais suffisamment sur les montagnes, frigo à disposition dans la chambre. Cependant, la chambre est vraiment très très très très mal insonoriser, on entend les voisins discuté se moucher les notifications du téléphone etc ... pareil les weekends le soir, on peut entendre du bruit de l'extérieur jusqu'à facilement 4h du matin... c'est le seul point négatif que j'ai à relever dans l'hôtel.

It’s fine. Old school. No coffee in rooms or downstairs until breakfast, and then charged. So I had to go to the station early to get coffee and come back. The key they give you is giant. So it is an inconvenient morning experience, which is the opposite of what I want from a hotel. But the location is top notch for a train visit, and close to the walking path down to the lake. Bed and shower were fine, room was small.

We were thrilled with our stay at Hotel Elite. It is about a 10 minute (uphill) walk from the train station and located on a quiet side street. They kindly stored our luggage until check in and provided us with a city card for Lausanne. It is conveniently located at a roughly 20 minute walk to the beautiful lakefront area of the city. When we arrived in our room we were thrilled to have a lovely balcony where we could enjoy the sunset. We had two comfortable twin beds, a seating area on the balcony, and a spacious room and bathroom. There was not AC (we knew this ahead of time) but there was a fan which kept us cool overnight. The wifi reception was great as well. Overall, we were very happy with our stay.

Good location close to the train if you have carryon luggage. Cute, quaint and as we were on the 4th floor, had a beautiful view of the mountains and lake. Sitting area where one can read is nice to have. Provided a USB adapter so we could charge our phones so that was great also. Larger room than many in Europe!

I booked a room for 3 nights at this hotel. My husband had to cancel the 3rd night to be by his mother’s side. She passed away. He informed the hotel a day ahead and asked if they could help with a refund for that last night due to the circumstances. It was very disappointing that they did not refund/ even partially. This is the only reason I would not book there again. I think it was very short sighted given my family will be attending a wedding there in August. I emailed the hotel directly and never even got a courtesy reply.

Really good stay. I've stayed here before several times - every year when I visit Lausanne for my business meetings. Always love this hotel. It's clean and well maintained. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The front desk staff who checked me in and also checked me out was very helpful. The room was spacious and clean. Quiet area also not affected by the station traffic, in spite of it being so close by. Many thanks. Will be back again next year in March!!

Lovely hotel near the train station. Quiet, and comfortable with great staff! Like most of Lausanne, there are some stairs to reach the hotel. They provide a transport pass, so you can use the Metro & buses to help with the city’s vertical layout.

We saw a little more of Lausanne than we, thanks to some road work and detours. But once we made our way to Hotel Elite, everything was great for a quick visit. The 5-minute walk from the train station with luggage turned into 25 minutes, but it paid off with a comfortable, spacious room in this handsome hotel — with an elevator. We had our choice of restaurants within a short walk that night and were on the edge of the historic City Center for a walking tour the next day. The route to the Cathedral has some steep stretches, so we used the convenient Metro to reach it and work our way back down hill. Our stay included a hearty, hot breakfast in a cozy dining room. And the manager bailed me out. I booked the wrong night, and she shifted it to the next night at no extra charge. Thanks, Hotel Elite.

While the hotel is older, it is classic! Old-world style without being worn out. The staff was great. Very close to the train station. We were impressed by Georgi, who checked us in. A wonderful ambassador for the hotel! This was our first stay, but it will not be our last!!!

We were thrilled with our stay at Hotel Elite. It is about a 10 minute (uphill) walk from the train station and located on a quiet side street. They kindly stored our luggage until check in and provided us with a city card for Lausanne. It is conveniently located at a roughly 20 minute walk to the beautiful lakefront area of the city. When we arrived in our room we were thrilled to have a lovely balcony where we could enjoy the sunset. We had two comfortable twin beds, a seating area on the balcony, and a spacious room and bathroom. There was not AC (we knew this ahead of time) but there was a fan which kept us cool overnight. The wifi reception was great as well. Overall, we were very happy with our stay.

Near to train station but quiet and safe area. the other side of the hotel and walk for 15 mins is shopping area. Anyway still convenient to take metro instead of walk. Hotel give free travel card. Spacious clean and lake view room. Mini convention lift.

This is a wonderful old hotel. We stayed on the top floor with a balcony with views of the lake. Very clean rooms and very rustic elevator. Walkable to everything if you are able to climb hills. Train and metro 5 minutes down the hill.

The rooms don’t have interior top locks, and felt a bit unsafe but I have noticed that in many area hotels. Great price. I picked it because it was the closest to the train station, not realizing the steep steps (3 flights) up, or you can go around up a steep hill. If you have heavy luggage or physical limitations, I would pick a different hotel that may say it’s farther, to the side of the station instead of up!

A quaint hotel. Close to the train & metro. Quiet inside and outside. We used the courtesy transport pass for metro and buses. The city has hills! The hotel is uphill from the train. Our gps map directed up 60 steps. Better to walk the slightly longer road route both up and down.

Very good location. Close to everything. Didn’t realise this town was all up and down hills. Ok for us, but if you have walking difficulties, maybe not. Motel was lovely. We had top floor room with a balcony and beautify view of the mountains.

We found this hotel in a Rick Steves travel guide for Switzerland. His description is accurate. Awesome location near the train station. The upper floor rooms do have a view of the lake. The front desk staff was pleasant and friendly. The rooms are a decent size. We had two family rooms. The decorating is not up to date and the appliances like the hair dryer are also dated (no big deal, every thing was functional). Breakfast is fairly basic and the attendant does not ask for your drink order or stop at your table, so you must get their attention. Unless you have an early train, you might want to get breakfast elsewhere. Perhaps we have just been spoiled by the breakfasts at multiple Italian hotels (large variety and attentive hosts).

It was a nightmare to approach the property since GPS did not know how to avoid the road construction of the street entrance and stuff could not give help either. Otherwise it was a decent hotel, with convenient parking, after one learns that the nearby parking lots are assigned to residents. The $20 breakfast does not worth more than $10 but there are several konditoreis and other cheap stores to eat breakfast. The surrounding streets are very steep which characterizes the whole city. Yet most interesting places, like restaurants, train station, COOP store, old town, are easily accessible (via the steep roads though).

This is a great small hotel. 48 rooms. Good breakfast. Walkable to train station and dining options. I would not recommend this for people with children. This is a small and quiet property with no outside area. The rooms are nice. Ours even had a bathtub. Refrigerators.

The hotel was ideal for us as it was within easy reach of the railway station. However, to get there it is quite a trudge either up a cobble street or up stairs... but it is not far. The staff were friendly and helpful and the 3 bedded room we had booked was actually a twin room with a separate room for the third bed (our granddaughter). Breakfast which was included was excellent.

It was ok. We arrived at 2pm on a day when it was 95 degrees and asked to check in early and was told check in isn’t until 3pm. We were looking to get out of the heat and wanted to rest. As a note, the hotel doesn’t have air conditioning (most don’t in Lausanne) and the room was very hot even after we opened the windows. It worked out in the end but it was a disappointment at the beginning. The location was good for what we wanted to do. Could have had better communication but we made it work. I wouldn’t stay here again, but it wasn’t too bad.

My room was not fully ready upon arrival. The staff was very helfpul in helping me fix a couple of issues and offering some compensation. Facility is impeccable clean. Hotel is well located. Price vs value is rather high, but this is Switzerland, after all. There is no AC except in the superior rooms.
