Our stay at Shark Reef hotel was wonderful. From check in to check out every thing was excellent! Staff was abundantly friendly, rooms were clean, outdoor areas were well taken care of, and pool/hot tub were awesome. Location was perfect! We will definitely be back! Thanks for a great weekend!!

Other than the rooms could be cleaned better (couches and under beds) we had absolutely no complaints. Pool/spa very nice, nice play ground for kids. S

Parking! It was hard to find a parking the first night we were there. Maybe you should consider parking passes for the room #. It makes more sense that we park where we can see our vechicle. I think people will tend to have visitors not stay there.

The layout of the property is wonderful. Very easy parking and a super nice green open space in the middle. Along with a very enjoyable pool and jacuzzi. Well maintained property, near a bird sanctuary, also. Many birds flying overhead. It adds to the ambiance The room space is a little cramped, but in good shape. And a superb air conditioning unit, which is well appreciated. The staff is friendly and responsive.

As expected. Well priced for what we got. Pool was great, playground and gazebos were great. Rooms are not intended be hangouts these are sleeping quarters

My family loves to stay at Sharks Reef, the rooms and property are always being updated, new split air/ heat conditioning, comfy beds and the pool area is great! Henry always asks if you need anything and offers great tips on everything, fishing and tackle.shops etc. Enjoy!!!

This was our second time staying here. It’s good especially for our family having younger ones. The layout of the property is good. They have the pool, covered BarBq areas and playground in a good spot. Pool was nice and hotel staff are very friendly. Will be returning. Also there price is reasonable. Also love the sitting chairs outside each room

The location was perfect to shopping, fishing, and the beach. The center of the property was lush with thick green carpet grass that included several picnic areas with bbq pits. It also has a playground, swings, horseshoes, pool and jacuzzi. Also there are rustic double chairs with a table which provides a little seating area right outside of your room. Our stay was perfect our family rented a few rooms and it was nice to gather in park area as we called it. Loved it and we have already booked another stay.

Room was spacious for 4 of us. But No hot water at all for 4 days. Mold in the bathroom ceiling. Front desk worker was rude. Very thin walls could hear everything! Had free wifi but never could get connected.

While it was going good , we were disappointed about a few things . Uncomfortable bedding and there were water roaches coming up our drain , mind you we paid well over 600 for the “deluxe” room , floors felt sandy and the cleanliness just wasn’t there . There was dirt everywhere under the bed . We didn’t bring it to their attention because they were super sweet ! But it is unfortunate that we paid so much just for the deluxe room to Feel dirty & with water bugs

there is poop on the door There is no hot water The room smells very bad

We have stayed here many times in the past. The other times the rooms have been clean. Not this time. Our room looked like it’s not been cleaned in awhile. Our heater did not work well. Our window blew air in. We saw 3 very LARGE roaches. The refrigerator did not work well. The maintenance guy was very friendly and nice.

The room was very outdated and the tub was rusted. There were roaches in the room as well as in the restroom.

I didn’t like there was roaches

When I pulled back the blankets they where dirty and had hair everywhere and the pullout had red juice or something that was spilled on it Asked for a change and didn’t

To many cockroaches inside the room & no window view.

Staff was great, room very clean and comfy

I always stay here & love it. My last time though, the bed was so tall that I had to get the chair to get on it, no blow dryer in the room & had to go buy on & none of the USB charger ports worked. There were no plug ins on one side of the bed so I had to go buy extension cords. The bed was rather hard too. I will try it again as we always have good experience there.

I stayed there for two nights The lady at the front office so nice and helpful But the place can be better There is a door inside between the rooms idk why The people next door keeps laughing and making noise all night When i booked the room they said that there’s a free wi-Fi but we didn’t get any access or password for it Even the TV doesn’t have internet .

Beds were uncomfortable. Water was either boiling hot or cold on the shower, knob didn’t allow for an in between. The first night the hot water wasn’t even working. A floor mat would be nice to help keep sand off of the stone tile floor. Price listed seemed worth it then a hotel fee was tacked on and at that point the stay was not worth the price. THE WALLS ARE absolutely paper thin. Doesn’t seem like a quiet time is enforced because people would be up making noise well into the night. Just stay somehwere else.

Motel was great. Staff was friendly. Only complaint is the ac kept freezing over and made the room too hot.

I thought the room was roomy and comfortable. Best hotel air conditioner ever by far! Was great that the owner lived on site and the hotel had such a warm family feel. Would have preferred more water pressure and a plug on both sides of the bed.

Check in was easy and the location is great! The staff were easy to communicate with and friendly. The pool is a decent size and has a shallow spot for little kids. Plenty of chairs as well and in great condition. Very nice well kept picnic area with plenty of space for multiple families to use. The rooms were clean and plenty of towels provided. The area was pretty lively all day and night haha. It made for a fun atmosphere if that’s what you are looking for. But if you are wanting a quiet getaway you may want to book elsewhere. The walls are thin so you can hear the TV in the next room and “other” things.

Bed was not comfortable at all and broken. The pillows were cheap as expected for a motel. The Internet was horrible. Had to turn it off to accomplish simple things on phones

We enjoyed our stay even though it was very noisy late into the night. The property doesn’t enforce “quiet time” at all. There was no blow dryer offered in the room which is unusual these days.

Great for just a quick stay. Pool was good but the room itself was outdated. Bathroom was bad in that the door knob was very loose and showerhead very old.

Place was okay, bed was extremely uncomfortable I got barely any sleep. I was also charged $35 out of my incidentals for some reason without being given an explanation. While it was affordable for the reasons above I think next time we will stay at another place.

Checked in, reserved 2 rooms for 3 nights. Noticed A.C. in one room was not working properly, had it checked by staff 5 times with no relief. Spent first night in room with broken a.c. . When back to office on second morning to see what can be done, only to be told that they were booked up, had no more rooms.. Then tone changed talking to Kim. She didn't care what i had to say, and how upset i was, told me that i could put everyone in one room, each room has 1 bed. And foldout couch . . Or i could take a fan for room with no a.c. Finally i asked for refund on room we are not using so we could find another room somewhere else. So kim gave me a 2 night refund After my credit card went thru for rooms, then kim went in a canceled refund without telling me why or communicating in any way... These people are giving Port A a bad name They do not care if customers are happy, them seem like at check-in, but if you have an issue... they become vicious... If you are allergic to mold do not stay here, showers are full of mold . Pass this place up.. spend ur money elsewhere.. Never will i stay here again and will tell everyone i know not to either.

Def will be back. The owner made our 2 year wedding anniversary one to remember! The place was clean and the hospitality was amazing! The young kid who was cleaning was very nice and he had great conversation. Love this place.

AC was leaking water into room and never cooled room. We kept telling maintenance guy but he kept saying he would fix it never did. And then I let him know that the toilet was clogged kept saying I’ll get to it when I get to it. He would never show up, then started giving attitude. Also bed was being held by buckets and I also let him know about that as well and he just kept saying he didnt know what to tell me. He was a very rude maintenance man, I’ve been staying here for over 10 years and this is one of the worst stays I ever had to deal with. The room had a bad smell of urine and feces, room rates from hotels.com are not honored when you check in. I was given a total thru hotels.com and their price was 40.00 dollars more, a lot of other tenants were complaining about same thing too.

It was a good motel but #1 if you ever try to call the front desk, don't expect them to answer even when they are literally beside the phone. I tested that. #2 They act like they just really don't want your business. On the good side, the hot water was really hot so taking a shower was terrific. The bed was comfortable. The room was very clean. And it may have been the most quiet motel I've been in for the last several years. I spend an average of 250 days a year in hotels so those details are incredibly important to me.

We really enjoyed our stay at Shark Reef. We hope to come back again and try the cottages out. Our room was neat and clean, gave plenty of room for us and the AC worked REALLY well, haha. The courtyard is neat and clean and offers many different activities. The staff was outstanding, courteous, friendly and super helpful. They're a huge part of the reason we'll be coming back here. Plus their prices were excellent!

The location of this spot was great. The owners called me in advance to my stay. I notified them that my Wife and I would be coming in late and they really helped and worked with us on making sure we got in our room after hours. It was very convenient especially after a long day.

I had a long and event filled day at work and was running late to check in. Just as I crossed over to the island the most pleasant lady called to check on me and see if there was anything I needed further. She politely requested my updated eta which was 20 minutes. The motel and cottages are very brightly painted and well cared for. The Room smelled fresh and the AC was ice cold and comfortable. The room was very clean with no issues. Well worth staying at again and perhaps one of their cottages when our family visit again.

Loved that it was close to the beach and the ferry. The rooms were really clean and the rooms were very spacious. Calm environment with good amenities.

We stayed here for spring break. It was great! Close too everything including the beach. They do allow pets. Will definitely stay again!

Best budget stay in Port Aransas. Great location, easy boat parking, big clean rooms.

No breakfast or coffee for customers. No coffee pot or phones in room. No space for toiletries in bathroom. Room and surrounding areas clean.

The room was great for the price. Everything was clean and eye appealing. Plenty of space for 4 people to sleep in room. A/C kept room nice and cold. I didn’t like that I couldn’t get a cup of coffee on a Saturday morning, and the shower drain smelt like rotten eggs, but otherwise a great place to stay

How close restaurant was.

It was very nice and quiet. There was not a coffee maker in the room… so I didn’t like that… but other than that, it was very nice and the staff were very nice.
