I don’t recommend staying here. We booked this to stay when visiting the museums in naoshima. The biggest issue is the very uncomfortable bed and pillows, we could barely sleep. It’s also pretty far from the port and there isn’t a shuttle or bikes to use, so you’ll need to use a taxi each time. There also isn’t anything to do over there, there isn’t a bar and the restaurant isn’t very good. We had better food in Uno port. There is a spa but it’s not usable on most days because of the bike races and there isn’t a way to know before you book. They also charged 1,500 yen because we lost one of our room keys, which is an unreasonably high fee. We thought it would be a cute and unique hotel, but it was overall disappointing.

The location is great if you’re driving. It’s in a quiet corner. It has public bath. The only catch is that the public bath is not open to general public if there are races. Also the room design Is pretty basic. It doesn’t even have a rack to put your luggage. The safe is a removable one.. sounds like a joke. The breakfast is just so so.

Not in walking distance to ferry as advertised. Had to take the shuttle but was only available in the mornings. Otherwise had to take a taxi to hotel. It was also attached to a bicycle racing track with betting, Keirin, an Olympic sport invented by the Japanese. The hotel onsen closed when the competitors were on site— one of the few amenities in this minimalist hotel. It is not a good place from which to visit the art island of Naoshima. Net time, I will definitely stay there. The hotel was expensive for where it was and the few amenities that were available.

Great hotel with nice staff. Loved the sports theme! Great view of the race track during breakfast from the Forq restaurant. Our room had a small balcony with a nice view of the sea and city!

A very reasonably priced hotel designed around a bicycle race track. The rooms are very small, but have great views for the track and the Sea. The higher floors have better views and balconies. Ideal location for visiting Naoshima Island (a 20 minuted ferry ride from Uno Port) or betting on the bicycle races. Rooms are pretty minimal (and small) - but efficient. Bathrooms have good water pressure and hot water. Sink is in the room itself. Beds are twin size... The room safe is very odd - a mall cube (8" x8") that is not fixed to the floor or wall - serves no purpose - you could literally walk off with it! The restaurant is OK, the staff is very nice, however, the food is basic and the menu never varies. The bar drinks are good.

Lindo hotel. Personal súper amable , con excepción de un señor de recepción. No tomamos la habitación más pequeña. Considerando cómo es en Japón estaba muy bien. Buena cama. Almohadas no muy buenas. Lindo baño. Hermoso balcón. No recomiendo el restaurante. No se come bien. Aunque son súper amables La ubicación no es tan buena. Está alejado del centro. Son más de 20 minutos caminando a la estación. O taxi por ¥1000 Tiene un excelente servicio de transporte a la estación, pero con muy pocos horarios. No hay amenites. Ni siquiera saquitos de té. Varias amenidades en cuarto para mayor comodidad y la temática del diseño estaba divertida. Limpieza excelente Solo el transporte no es tan accesible al llegar ya que se termina a cierta hora y no encontramos taxis disponibles, tuvimos que caminar.

Very nice hotel, it's brand new and the rooms are massive and very well kept and nicely decorated with designer furniture and accessories. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Bed was super comfortable and massive (two single beds, but they were together so it was like one very large king). Only thing I'd mention is it's quite far from the port, so you'll need to take a taxi which to be fair are quite cheap (it's the option we took a few times), or walk 20 min (not a very nice walk as it's on a motorway). They also have a free shuttle which we took once, but the first one is not until around 10.15am so not ideal if you're planning on taking an early ferry to the islands. Definitely the nicest hotel in the area, so it's either this hotel or staying directly on Naoshima.

We booked this hotel as an access hotel for Naoshima, as some of the closer options to the train station and port were not available. It was a bit of a walk from the station with luggage- we ended up taking a taxi to go to the port the next morning. The hotel was nice- small rooms, as expected for Japan. I had no idea it was a bicycle-themed hotel as there is a speed cycling track on premises. It was modern. Beds were a little too hard. If I were to go to Naoshima again, I would probably either just book another option or stay on Naoshima itself.

The shower was great. The restaurant meal options for dinner were not good and the English translations need updating. However staff were very friendly throughout. We enjoyed the shuttle service provided as well.

Lindo hotel. Personal súper amable , con excepción de un señor de recepción. No tomamos la habitación más pequeña. Considerando cómo es en Japón estaba muy bien. Buena cama. Almohadas no muy buenas. Lindo baño. Hermoso balcón. No recomiendo el restaurante. No se come bien. Aunque son súper amables La ubicación no es tan buena. Está alejado del centro. Son más de 20 minutos caminando a la estación. O taxi por ¥1000 Tiene un excelente servicio de transporte a la estación, pero con muy pocos horarios. No hay amenites. Ni siquiera saquitos de té. This hotel is right next to professional bike racing track so you can watch athletes train. The staff was friendly and accommodating. They watched our luggage before and after our stay. Their breakfast was incredibly good.

We booked this hotel as an access hotel for Naoshima, as some of the closer options to the train station and port were not available. It was a bit of a walk from the station with luggage- we ended up taking a taxi to go to the port the next morning. The hotel was nice- small rooms, as expected for Japan. I had no idea it was a bicycle-themed hotel as there is a speed cycling track on premises. It was modern. Beds were a little too hard. If I were to go to Naoshima again, I would probably either just book another option or stay on Naoshima itself.

Very nice hotel, it's brand new and the rooms are massive and very well kept and nicely decorated with designer furniture and accessories. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Bed was super comfortable and massive (two single beds, but they were together so it was like one very large king). Only thing I'd mention is it's quite far from the port, so you'll need to take a taxi which to be fair are quite cheap (it's the option we took a few times), or walk 20 min (not a very nice walk as it's on a motorway). They also have a free shuttle which we took once, but the first one is not until around 10.15am so not ideal if you're planning on taking an early ferry to the islands. Definitely the nicest hotel in the area, so it's either this hotel or staying directly on Naoshima.

Stayed for a couple of nights with friends while visiting Naoshima island. The hotel was quite comfortable but not great on character. The location is a bit too far from the town for walking so had to use the taxi quite a bit for commuting costing about Y900 for each trip.

Not in walking distance to ferry as advertised. Had to take the shuttle but was only available in the mornings. Otherwise had to take a taxi to hotel. It was also attached to a bicycle racing track with betting, Keirin, an Olympic sport invented by the Japanese. The hotel onsen closed when the competitors were on site— one of the few amenities in this minimalist hotel. It is not a good place from which to visit the art island of Naoshima. Net time, I will definitely stay there. The hotel was expensive for where it was and the few amenities that were available.

A very reasonably priced hotel designed around a bicycle race track. The rooms are very small, but have great views for the track and the Sea. The higher floors have better views and balconies. Ideal location for visiting Naoshima Island (a 20 minuted ferry ride from Uno Port) or betting on the bicycle races. Rooms are pretty minimal (and small) - but efficient. Bathrooms have good water pressure and hot water. Sink is in the room itself. Beds are twin size... The room safe is very odd - a mall cube (8" x8") that is not fixed to the floor or wall - serves no purpose - you could literally walk off with it! The restaurant is OK, the staff is very nice, however, the food is basic and the menu never varies. The bar drinks are good.

Habitación limpia, con vista al mar y a la pista de ciclismo, el desayuno muy completo con opciones japonesas y occidentales también. Varias amenidades en cuarto para mayor comodidad y la temática del diseño estaba divertida. Limpieza excelente Solo el transporte no es tan accesible al llegar ya que se termina a cierta hora y no encontramos taxis disponibles, tuvimos que caminar.

There were public baths at the hotel, but we ran into get one last soak before check out and they were already closed forCleaning. We still had half an hour before our checkout so we would’ve loved to have a few minutes to relax our bodies after walking all day the day before.

Lunch and dinner menu's offered are not up to Japanese standard so you need to eat at Uno port unless you want fried food. Breakfast okay but no fresh fruit. A word of warning even if you just want a drink at the restaurant after your day you need to book at reception on your return to the hotel. Also need to book shuttle if you want transfer to Uno station on any day. Bike hire available for taking on the ferry for Island tours. Rooms small so travel light as no room for larger suitcases.

Really enjoyed our stay at Setouchi Keirin. Staying in Tamano was a perfect way to discover Naoshima + Teshima islands and have a safe and quiet island to come back to. Everything is walking distance and easy to access. Highly recommend those interested in discovering a hidden gem!
