La Plaza Arequipa Hotel Boutique

Clean room. Near restaurants and many tourist places. Front desk staff was friendly and welcoming. However, there are no elevators which is a huge inconvenience for elderly and people with mobility impaired. Otherwise great location.

Great location. The hotel has no elevator which is a drag carrying luggage up the stairs. Room was spacious with comfortable bed. Breakfast was excellent. And the staff magnificent.

The location in front of the cathedral is perfect. There’s many place around to eat. Its an historical building, so they don’t have elevator or emergency power plant. The room we booked was smaller than it shows in the photos, so we have to pay for an upgrade

First, the room didn’t look like the pictures on the website. It was small and run down. There was confusion about the rooms, and they gave us one bed when we ordered two beds, so they didn’t even have the correct information. Also, the cleanliness of the room was another concern. This place doesn’t have AC, so if you run hot, this is not the place for you. Many rooms face the inside of the building, and that's the only window you will have for the air to circulate. We had to use a floor fan in the room, which had probably never been cleaned. On top of that, trying to close the curtain to go to sleep, the pole fell—it was super heavy and thankfully didn’t hit anyone—spreading many dust particles around. The next day, I woke up sick. Two days later, my roommate woke up with allergies, and I contracted a cold that ruined my trip to Cuzco.

There was a construction in the hotel. Yesterday, I got to sleep at 2:30am because I cannot sleep because construction noice was terrible.
