This was an amazing value for the cost, and I would highly recommend this hotel if you have a family. The location is wonderful - situated on the gap - with easy access to loads of restaurants and activities to do. I was so surprised for an older hotel, how clean the room and kitchen were. The only item to be aware of is - parking is extremely limited - other wise, the property is excellent, and rooms convenient with a fridge, microwave, and stove - makes a vacation with children much easier!

Excellent location in the Gap. Clean and comfortable room. One portion of the hotel does not have an elevator- beware if stairs are problematic. Thursday customer appreciation rum punch party was a nice touch.

Hotel is close to everything. Truck food shops, gas stations. 15 minute drive The Boatyard, Savvy Beach, Miami Beach. Main Street is a bit loud but great for those looking for nightlife. Pool is kept clean and all the facilities are in good contusion.

Nice pool with plenty of chairs and umbrellas. There is also a small area where you can access the Caribbean Sea to swim in the warm salt water. Location of this hotel in the "Gap" is a real plus. Many restaurant options in the area at all price points. Food uniformly excellent in all, from beach shack (Daddy's) to high price (Tabu) as examples. Also, lots of shopping options. Help the vendors along the "Gap" selling their wares with a small purchase...it will make you feel good helping a Bajan! Frequent visitor to the "Gap" and this hotel (amongst others). I'll be back in May '26.

The location of the property is good; you can walk to restaurants and bars. The room was dated but clean; the view of the ocean was beautiful. The picture of this hotel needs to be updated; there is absolutely “no” beach! Food is only served from 7am- 2pm, no snacks or dinner after that. Bar closes at 6pm, should at least stay open till 9pm. Mark and Verna are great; front desk people are not very friendly. I had asked to be on an upper floor because I heard the bar across the way gets loud. The woman at the desk told me it was fine; I was on the first floor right across from the rum shop and it was Loud every night. So much for accommodating their guests.

Excellent location, great waterfront rooms with expansive ocean views, spacious room and bathroom. Unfortunately, the beach has large waves and not safe for swimming, but just 12 minutes walking distance there is a great beach where we spent time every day!

The hotel was nice and clean. A little older rooms but good for the price. AC and shower was good. The staff at the front desk is very rude and not helpful. I saw them be very unhelpful and rude to many guests including myself. Laundry is another issue. The laundry is only 1 washer and dryer. They have a second room with 2 washers and dryers and they won’t allow others to use it. Asking the hotel front desk staff for any help isn’t worth your time. Better to speaking to a wall. Also the pictures of the beach are fake. There is no beach. There is 10 feet across by 2 feet of long of sand that is under water 90% of the time. You have to walk to the real beaches or Carlisle Bay which is the best one (need a taxi). I wouldn’t stay here again because there are many other hotels in the area where you don’t have to deal with a rude staff at the front desk.

This property...the room was dirty, bathroom dirty. Room is oldfashioned and worst of all there was a roach a BIG roach in my room on the first night. Reception offered no remedy to the situation .....nothing. Unfortunately i couldn't upload the video i took of that night. Definitely would not recommend this place.

It backs on to a beach so it’s convenient for beach although the sea was a bit rough. My 1st week was good but the 2nd week in a different room with different cleaner was less so. The cleaning service could be better.

We loved the view from our room (as usual). The room was always clean and well supplies with towels and bathroom amenities. your staff was exceptional, especially the room and restaurant staff where we had breakfast almost every day. My grandson thoroughly enjoyed the pool!

Great little basic hotel in the water. Sweet little beach great for swimming. Nice pool and lounge chairs. Nice little breakfast cafe right by the pool. Across the street is noisy and busting at night. Fun bars and restaurants. Even a bar for cricket fans! Cool little area. Room that was overlooking the beach was great - very comfortable but noisy at night so bring ear plugs. It didn’t keep us up at all but I imagine some people might not like the nighttime revelry across the street.

No airport shuttle i am aware of. Staff were great but rooms needed new furniture and pillows terrible and beds adequate. Bathroom lighting over sink needs to be brighter. Fridge not cold enough. 3 stars

Great hotel in great location next to everything you need literally, just didn’t like the two twin beds they put together when me and my wife was trying to sleep it get on separating and it was very uncomfortable, also the shower curtains aren’t long enough which make a lot of water get out on the bathroom floor while showering, and there is beach access but it isn’t meant for swim due to the rough water and the way it’s set up but it’s next to plenty beachew hotel could do a little upgrade breakfast wasn’t good in my opinion overall it was an ok stay and the perfect location with a lot of nightlife

Location is perfect if you don’t have a car rental. We like the access to the ocean for a quick swim. Staff is friendly and room is clean. Unfortunately not enough loungers or sun umbrellas. We had very poor water pressure in the shower. We did enjoy our stay and will return next year.

The staff at this hotel were friendly and courteous. We stayed in the newer part of the hotel and loved the view. The room was immaculate. I think the furniture may have been a little dated, but it didn’t bother us. Kitchenette was well stocked. Overall, very pleased.

Beach nothing like the photos online. Miserable reception following long flight from London etc. Not even a bottle of water or cup of tea available. Just told to go to supermarket. Thank goodness we were only booked in for one night before our cruise. Don’t bother with this place, there are much nicer places further along the road. Friendly staff, nice bars and lovely beach.

With the exception of Verna the staff appeared totally unengaged. It started at Check-in. The lady at Reception gave the impression that we were an inconvenience. Unfriendly and annoyed that we were there. We checked in with another couple and they had a similar feeling. The grounds and landscaping were overgrown and grass was not cut until our 11th day on site. Our room was unacceptable. The sliding glass door's mirror finish was coming off and were spotty. Not properly cleaned. Door striker plate was damaged and the door did not close properly. The door would not close. You had to use the deadbolt. Reported to reception but not fixed. We could go further but I don't believe it would matter. We have stayed on this property in the past and enjoyed it. Hopefully we will not have a need to return.

A truly lovely hotel. Great location, right on the beach. Such friendly staff and has the local traditional feel rather than a large corporate. Staff can’t do enough for you. Had breakfast there and used the bar area. All lovely. Only tip I would give is request a sea view room rather than one facing the road as there are some bars nearby. Short walk down the road to hop on a bus to other beaches or Bridgetown

We enjoyed our recent two night stay prior to a cruise. The ocean view studio was equipped with a mini kitchen, fridge, stovetop and utensils. Because of our short stay, we did not avail ourselves of the kitchen. The staff in the office was extremely helpful in answering questions and giving us advice. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. We enjoyed the beautiful view from the balcony. The beach at this location is not very large or good for sunbathing, but a short walk brought us to an exceptional beach where we swam alongside sea turtles! The open air restaurant with a small bar on site was good, we enjoyed coffee and a delicious breakfast in the morning and their two happy hours per day. The hotel is located in the center of St. Lawrence Gap with many bars and restaurants in walking distance. A very good stay for the price we paid! One other note, we had a late departure and they provide a lovely hospitality suite so that we could enjoy the day on the beach and then go and shower and change before departing. They also stored our luggage for us.

The property was in a great location right on the sea front with its own little beach. It is also located right in the heart of the gap so is surrounded by plenty of bars and restaurants and is a 5-10 minute walk to 2 other beaches. Rooms were clean and spacious and well equipped and all looked over the sea. Staff were friendly and very helpful. The hotel was also well priced as we stayed over Xmas most hotels had massively increased there prices for the festive period but the Rostrevor prices hadn’t increased much from when we were looking at going for a week in October.

We were right on the water. 2 nd floor. Sound of the ocean put us to sleep every night. Restaurants in the St Lawrence Gap were amazing. Great snorkelling at Worthing Beach - 5-10 minute walk. Also great snorkeling in front of hotel.

The hotel is a bit dated but excellent value for money given its Barbados. The large pool and grounds are excellent. The beach is tiny and if the sea is rolling in, not useable. Dover beach is nice but a few properties over along the road to access. The Lawrence Gap area is alive full of restaurants and bars. It’s an easy local bus ride into Bridgetown.

Love the staff, the room, and location. Thanks for your wonderful hospitality. Breakfast was disappointing. The phone in my room gave a busy signal when I tried to reach front desk. This lasted the whole of yesterday. And, Last night, between 12am and 1 am, my family and I were awoken by an alarm going off. It would stop for a few seconds and then continue with the piercing sound. Unsure what was happening, we went to the front desk and was told by security, she had informed the relevant people and it will hopefully be corrected soon.

Staff at the Almond Tree restaurant was amazing. We had breakfast and lunch there everyday. The food was very good. The hotel is old but very clean and everything is in working order. Our ocean view room was fantastic. The location of the hotel was great as well. It would be nice if the resort got a bit of an upgrade.
